Great location for getting to Main Street! The Christmas Stroll was so much fun and an easy walk down Orange Street to Main! The beautiful historic home adds to the experience.
Great location, short walk to town, super responsive host, 3 bedrooms, clean, charming old Nantucket house with room for the family. We would definitely stay again.
The perfect location for a long weekend with friends! Everyone was comfortable and you can’t beat the location to town. We were able to eat outside and enjoy the yard as well.
Comfortable, real-Nantucket house that warmed us through windy, chilly weather. Also comfortable and functional furnishings. Loved easy access to town and harbor. We were very happy with our stay.
My mother and I stayed here in October. It was a quick walk to town. The beds were some of the best we’ve ever slept in. Overall a wonderful stay and we are looking forward to returning!
We had a great week-long stay at this property. The location is convenient to walk to town, plus we brought our car over and the driveway was a great amenity. We enjoyed the outside grill and the yard for dinner with friends.
My friends and I enjoyed our stay. It was a convenient location to the ferry and bars and restaurants. The house was clean and we had great communication with our host. We’d recommend this to anyone!
Comfortable, nostalgic, full featured home. Beautiful courtyard, updated kitchen with great stove and refrigeration. Easy, enjoyable walk into town. Great for business stop or vacation. Highly recommend.
Great spot overall. Great location and the homeowner was very responsive. The one thing I would say is that the linens and towels did not seem very clean. Please be aware of this when you stay.
Our group of 4 adults and 2 teens had the most perfect stay at this neat Nantucket cottage. The location is absolutely perfect for a walk into town, which we did frequently each day. The yard was lovely for relaxing and we even enjoyed a takeout meal at the outdoor table. We loved the outdoor shower as well. Despite its small appearance, the house is very roomy and has every amenity that you need. Greg was very easy to work with and communicated well. We would absolutely LOVE to stay here again!
You will not be disappointed. The location of the property is perfect. Far enough away from the downtown area that you don't hear the noise, but close enough to walk to everything. Greg is a great guy. He was quick to respond at the time of booking. Communication with Greg was great throughout the process, and he even provided helpful contact info for transportation and other helpful tips that made the stay stress free and very enjoyable! It's a very clean and well maintained home. Many thanks to Greg!

Nice house but bad experience with owner
The house is very nice. I originally rated it a 5 out of 5 with all things considered. It was a comfortable stay, it was very close to town and ideal for around 6 people. Can fit more but not sleep more. The house is spacious and has a parking spot.
Unfortunately, I've had to remove my previous review and re-write it since the owner has failed to communicate to me for the past 50 days regarding the return of my security and damage deposit. He has not provided me with any information regarding the money. He is now in breach of contract for failing to return my security deposit within 45 days. It is a shame because I would have stayed at this house again if it were not for this matter of a couple hundred dollars. I would advise against giving this landlord your money as even if he delivers 90% of your promise he'll fail on that last 10. I like landlords to be as consistent as I am. I had a wonderful stay and this nonsense has ensured I will never stay again. Give someone else on Nantucket your money, this person hasn't earned it.

Security deposits are returned 45 days after occupancy in order to be able to catch all of the billing cycles for vendors such as Comcast to determine if there are any accrued charges from renter occupancy. In this case there was an administrative oversight in that the monies were sent out before the 45 days but I did not request for confirmation of receipt from the renter. Until the review was submitted I had no know ledge of the fact that the money was not received, but sent to another party in error. Moving forward, in the future I will email each renter upon mailing and ask for their confirmation of receipt of the returned monies.
We spent four rainy, windy days on our first trip to Nantucket Fortunately, we got to spend more time in Greg's historic and surprisingly spacious home. A Plus are the appropriately modernized bathrooms and kitchen, although we didn't use the great stove, having opted to do all our dining at Nantucket's mostly outrageously expensive restaurants. This expanded Cape Cod styled home is furnished in a typical and comfortable Nantucket style. The beds are very comfortable (Rave reviews for the Master Bedroom mattress.) The private yard area with umbrella table and outdoor shower are also outstanding features that we didn't get to use. I recommend that you ignore the "Karen" comments below concerning the ceiling heights, particularly in the upstairs bathroom. The first floor ceilings are higher than the conventional height, except in the rear laundry area, but what's the problem? Staying here, You become part of the historic past of this typical Cape Cod historic home and hopefully you will appreciate the past and the legends of islanders that are part of this home's personality. Alas, we didn't encounter any ghostly presence! We shall return to this charming island and home.
In general, house is well kept/maintained. A few cons: we were the end of the rental season so A/C filter, dishwasher filter and ceiling spiders all needed to be cleaned. Also some may find old windows & screen door charming, but I prefer easily opening windows/doors with working screens. Pros: Great location, great host, good kitchen to cook in, overall clean property, nice side yard with outdoor shower. A/C in bedrooms is a bonus we appreciated. I would recommend this property to anyone as the pros far outweigh the cons.
