We enjoyed another year at Erica’s property in Ocean Park! Lots of space, ceiling fans in every bedroom mean it was cool at night, and wifi is strong!

Great Ocean Park Rental

We had a great time in Ocean Park. This is a perfect rental for a family visiting the area. It has everything you need, with plenty of space to spread out. Everything in Ocean Park is within a short walk from this rental. Owners were easy to communicate with and everything was as described.

Another great stay in Ocean Park!

My family had another great stay at Erica’s place in Ocean Park! It’s so nice to have so much space to spread out, and having three bathrooms is amazing (never had any issue with hot water). The location is great, Erica was easy to communicate with, the beach chairs available with the unit are nice, and the neighbours are friendly. Looking forward to staying again!

Family Gathering

We had a lovely stay in this home. Our children and grandchild joined us for a week. We walked to the beach, sat on the quiet porch, cooked on the outdoor grill and in the kitchen and gathered in the common space. Bedrooms and baths felt like home. Thank you, so much!

Great Ocean Park Rental

This was a our second vacation at this location. With 4 bedrooms, there's more than enough space. It's nice to have the living area (middle floor) separate from all of the bedrooms (lower level and third floor). The large porch is great for reading and relaxing in the morning and all of the neighbors are very friendly. This is a great house to rent in Ocean Park!

Condo was very nice, spacious & in a good location!

Condo was spacious nicely decorated & had all the things we we’re looking for our family to stay with us. Erica & Butch were quick to respond & very accommodating. Neighbors were friendly & courteous too. The only negative we’re the cleaners, they took way too long (waited until almost 3;00) & they only surface cleaned, sand throughout, ( bathtubs, beds & rugs)

3 Tanglewood Ocean Park

Great location and 4 bedrooms were great for our family. Pros- 1. Close to beach 2. Updated 3. Washer and dryer 4. 4 bedrooms with a couple pull out couches were great. 5. Owners were great from the beginning. Actually got us checked in earlier than the 2 pm time just like she said she would. Cons- 1. No A/C 2. 1st floor bedroom’s queen mattress was horrible. Wife had to sleep on the sofa on the 2nd floor. Way too soft. 3. Kitchen was way to small for our family. 4. The kitchen supplies were very limited Glad we have been going to ocean park for 55 years now and brought our own pans and stuff. No wine glasses. The only fry pan was a 8” pan. 5. Had a nice grill outside but halfway through my steaks the tank ran out. Also there was no lighter anywhere in the house. Overall I would rent this again and the owners are super nice.

Wonderful Quaint but Modern Ocean Park Property

This property was so lovely inside and out! We enjoyed the small beach town feel with modern amenities. Beautiful new kitchen and furnishings. Comfy beds, new washer dryer, and plenty of room for our 4 person family (2 adults and 2 teens) to spread out! Very short walk to the beach and town soda fountain, sub shop, and shuffleboard. Long time Ocean Parker completely satisfied with our stay. Will be back!

Great OP property and location

This property was a great fit for our group of 7 adults (family & friends). It was nice to have the 4 bedrooms separated (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs) with the kitchen/living space on the middle floor. The front porch (always with an ocean breeze) was so nice to sit out and enjoy morning coffee or a cocktail in the evening. The porch is shared with tenants but everyone was super friendly, while respectful of each others space. The kitchen was well equipped and the gas grill out back was in great working condition! Note: The grill is no longer on the back deck, but at ground level in the parking lot. The neighbor told us this is due to safety requirements. Having 3 full bathrooms was fantastic for our group! Two negatives: 1) the front door handle was very difficult to open / needs to be fixed and 2) would have been even better if each bedroom had a queen bed instead of full sized beds. The bedrooms have plenty of space for larger beds. Overall, we loved the property and the short distance to Ocean Park town center and the beach. We would definitely rent this property again.

WONDERFUL! Plan to come back!

We all enjoyed our stay here so much. The location is perfect—quiet, but close to the town center and an easy walk to the beautiful beach. We also enjoyed the offerings at the Temple across the street (yoga). The amenities were excellent: we especially appreciated the beach chairs and cart and the two parking spots. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean! The owners were accommodating and very responsive, and everything in the house works well: fans, lights, dishwasher, etc. Perhaps best of all, the neighbors were amazingly welcoming and hospitable—and gave us even more great recommendations for local businesses (and how to find the elusive sand dollars). Two notes: the front door with the access code (that you enter from the street level) does not lock from the inside, so be aware of that if you are coming with small kids who like to go adventuring! Second, it is a three-story condo, so you do want to make sure everyone in party is able to travel up and down stairs with relative ease. Overall, this was a wonderful home in a great town--We would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Enjoyed our stay in Ocean Park, Maine

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The condo was convenient to the beach, parking was easy, and the neighbors were friendly. Having three full bathrooms was a huge plus, especially with a family full of teenage boys. We were able to get a last minute reservation after our prior plans were cancelled due to covid restrictions. The owner was responsive and made the booking easy. As far as what we didn't like so much, I was disappointed reading about a "pet security fee" in the information booklet once we were in the condo after we were advised that no pets were allowed. Many of the comments listed in VRBO mentioned that it was pet friendly so it was a bit disappointing for us that we could not bring our dog when clearly other renters had in the past. Another downside for us was the lack of AC. It made spending time inside the condo difficult. And while there are places to sit outside to enjoy coffee and fresh air, the condo lacks privacy from neighbors and other condo tenants. The condo does have 4 bedrooms, which is great, but 3 of the rooms have either a full or queen bed only. With a large family, it is better for us to have a couple of twin beds as options to provide more sleeping area. I would also suggest a few other little items, like lobster cracker sets, more pens/paper, a drying rack, and more hooks. But all in all we had a very nice time. The extras I mentioned would have made our stay all the better!

We enjoyed our stay very much at Tanglewood! It was exceptionally clean and comfortably decorated. Easy walk to the beach, and great to have beach chairs etc provided. Stairs were a little challenging for our group but not a biggie! Only “wish” would be to have had a coffee pot, single cups was a pain and the starched sheets were tough for some of us! What an amazing week in Ocean Park!

We were delighted when we walked into the condo to find that EVERYTHING was updated, floors, walls, appliances, bedding. The linen service was a great bonus because it meant we didn't need to bring our own linens! The washer/dryer were a huge plus with three kids and an ocean. The condo was spacious and airy and the front porch was jaw dropping. Our neighbors were fantastic. The neighborhood is full of families and campers. The Ocean Park square is so small town and had absolutely anything we needed. The coffee was great, the cinnamon rolls were amazing and that gift store.... I can't say enough. I really hope to rent again next year. I also loved communicating with Erica because she was responsive and warm and we really felt like we were guests in her home. Loved it so much! BTW, our kids kids all said it was the best vacation they have ever had. :) - Julie & George

Great Family Getaway - Ocean Park

The location was ideal, short walk to beach, that had great times for dogs to join in the fun. The condo was newly decorated, the front and back decks great gathering spaces. A short bike ride to the action of OOB Pier. Quiet beach and close to entertainment. great combo. The condo had 3 full baths, and plenty of sleeping options, just ideal. If I had to come up with anything negative, we prefer firm mattresses but bedrooms are lovely, bedding great !!! We are looking to book again for longer period as we didn't get to enjoy all the area has to offer !!

Great vacation

We love the location, a 10 minute walk to the beach. The beach is not far from some less developed sections so you can be as private as you like. The condo has a really nice front porch that is a nice quiet place to sit and relax. The second floor is the kitchen, dining and living room with the bedrooms on the first or third floors. Not a problem for us but may be for some who don’t do stairs. We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Beautiful place

This is a spacious place with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The front porch and back deck were lovely places to relax. We loved the decor and appreciated the appliances. It has a great location. We will definitely rent there again.

Memorable and enjoyable stay in Ocean Park!

Owners replied promptly, kindly and efficiently when approached with questions before and after arrival. Property was exactly as presented. Linen service had linens waiting, lovely neighbours were welcoming and informative. Covered front porch good for rainy days. The level above street is a beautifully renovated main floor that has a kitchen, family room, bathroom and a dining table that is awesome, seats many, great for family games after supper! Upstairs (3rd floor) has 2 bedrooms, reading nook and 1 bathroom, all clean, cozy and welcoming. Street level has a bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one with bunk beds and other with a queen, laundry also on this level. Great attention to detail in decorating and much care taken in making sure they provided the comforts of home including new mattresses! Entry is with a code that was provided before arrival so we were able to arrive, unload and go in right away without having to arrange to get a key. Front and back porches/decks are great for morning coffees and post-beach cocktails hours. Third bathroom was a huge help and newer appliances, BBQ, and amenities made us feel pampered! 2 off street parking spots made it worry-free, and parking on street for our visitors was also convenient. We had 2 families and it was great: one family could sleep up, one could sleep down, each had some privacy but met on the middle floor for meals, games, fun times and to make memories!

Like the condo very much.Only drawback was the info sheet re what linens we needed. Info said 1 queen, 1 set of twins beds, and the rest were full size beds. Only 1 full and the rest were queen. Master bed room on the first floor needs night tables and a reading light. No place to put my glasses. We enjoyed our stay, love the porch.

Good dog friendly place in Ocean Park

First, the positives, which outweigh the negatives: Super nice, responsive owner who did what he said he would do when he said he would do it throughout the process. Dog friendly. Very nice neighbors/owners. Short walk to beach. Lovely neighborhood. House was perfect for two families to share, one on bottom floor, one on top floor, with shared middle floor. The front porch and back deck are wonderful, and much prettier than they look in the picture. The whole setting of the house is great, easy parking, dumpster in back, etc. I loved the house for these reasons. The negatives: The house needs some updating, as the decor is a bit tired. This is ok. My main issue was that the bottom floor, because it's a center unit, doesn't get alot of sun, and so feels a bit dungeony. The pillows and linens felt damp, likely because it was August and summer humidity, but was pretty off putting. I'd say that bringing your own pillows, sheets, and coverlets is key. I'd also bring your own towels for the same reasons, the ones provided were clean but musty, so we used our own. I think a dehumidifier would help. I actually hate saying anything negative here, because for the most part, our experience was really great, and our friends who stayed on the top floor didn't feel the same about their bedding, likely because the top floor is very sunny. Overall, I do recommend, just bring your own bedding and towels.

Quaint beach town

Tanglewood unit three was perfect for our dual family vacation! Having the first and third floors as sleeping spaces gave us private space with the shared common area in the middle. We loved our mornings drinking coffee on the front porch in the rocking chairs and spending the day on a lovely beach just a few minutes walk down the street. We took advantage of everything Ocean Park including the library, ice cream shop, and my son even ran in the 5K on Friday night. Our neighbors were amazing! They and the owner shared lots of great advice and recommendations for us first time Maine vacationers. We hope to find ourselves in this area again and would definitely want to stay at Tanglewood!
