About this property

Cool 1870's home anchored in the Historic District with modern amenities.

Our century-and-a-half-old, five bedroom and three bath home with 3,000 square feet centrally situated in the heart of the Annapolis Historic District downtown.

You'll be 3-4 blocks from the Naval Academy, Main Street shops, food and the historic State Capital.

Ours is a Federal style, circa 1870's, three story brick row home which was partially upgraded in 2017. Renovation included gutting both the kitchen and the English basement bedroom.

Enjoy a screened porch overlooking a private garden surrounded by an eight foot tall brick wall. There is plenty of space throughout the home with hideaways where you can relax and get away from it all.

There are three full baths - the second floor has a walk in shower. The master bathroom has a claw foot tub combination shower. The renovated English Basement, which is the fifth bedroom, has the third full bath with a walk in shower. Although we permit up to ten guests, there are five beds: a California King, a queen, a sleeper sofa queen in the English basement and two double beds on the second floor. There are two queen inflatable’s stored in the English basement.

The rear bricked patio has a Weber gas grill and a Solo fire pit and it is surrounded by an 7-8 foot high brick wall. The rear screened porch behind the kitchen is our favorite go to space for sharing pleasant weather or streaming to the the overhead TV screen.

With its walk-to-everything coordinates, creaky heart pine floors, tall ceilings and upgraded amenities, you'll feel a warm coziness throughout our old brick home.

The English Basement bedroom has three entrances including a rear door to the brick walled patio.

You can come and go from the English basement bedroom through the interior stairs or through the lower level front door which takes you up the brick steps directly to Prince George Street.

There is a small laundry on the second floor and two large capacity LG laundry machines in the English Basement.

Non-smokers only. This is our 'real' home, we live here when not renting. Our home is for mellow family events.

No on site parking - Calvert Street Garage at 19 St. Johns St. is free on weekends and after 6pm daily. Hillman Garage at 150 Gorman St. has 24 hr parking @ ~$30 daily.

TRASH - Must be placed at the curb in front of the English Basement steps between 6 PM Sunday night and 6:00 AM Monday morning. Every bag has to be in a trash can or we get fined.
Place the sheets you stripped off the beds as well as your bath towels in the English Basement laundry area.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Customize your agreement: we may customize the TERMS for you if memorialized prior to booking through VRBO messaging.

2025 USNA commissioning week

Perfect Stay in Annapolis!We absolutely loved our stay! The location couldn’t have been better! The house was less than a five-minute walk to the city docks and Main Street. The house itself was perfect for our occasion. When we arrived, there was a thoughtful basket of snacks and goodies waiting for us along with a kind welcome note, which made it feel extra special!All of the bedrooms were very clean and nicely made up, and we especially enjoyed the peaceful backyard and back porch—having our morning coffee out there each day was such a treat. We stayed in this beautiful home over a work trip for six nights and we could not have been happier with our stay! Shawn was great about communicating with me and insured our stay was comfortable. As soon as I walked in I was instantly pleased with this home; it is warm and inviting. This home is absolutely gorgeous! We could not have been happier with our stay at 212 Prince George for Commissioning Week. Location, location, location! It was so easy to walk to the yard for all of the special events, especially when Gate 3 was open. The house was perfect for all of our guests and the added personal touches made us feel very welcomed. We were blessed with perfect weather and that made the sun porch the favorite hangout for everyone. I would highly recommend this house.

Commissioning Week

We had a great stay at this property during Commissioning Week! The owners were very responsive and communication was great. We were even able to get a parking spot for the week. The house is about 3 blocks to Gate 1 and 2 blocks to Gate 3. It is so close even our 83 year old parents were able to make the walk. The owners were completely reliable...Ive heard nightmare stories about owners canceling last minute. Thank you for a great week.

Amazing House!

We arrived in Annapolis with our family for our daughter’s Commissioning week. The owners were very responsive and the house was beautiful. We arrived to a basket of house warming goodies and beautiful flowers on the table. The location was great for my 78 yr old Mom to come and go from the Yard easily with all the activities during the week. The beds were comfortable and the basement apartment was a great place for the kids to watch tv. The outdoor porch was a huge hit! It became the gathering place for after dinner discussions and late night story telling. The kitchen was well equipped and great espresso coffee maker. There are room air conditioners that helped make the house very comfortable despite a few muggy nights. A perfect blend of modern updates and historical charm. We absolutely loved the house and highly recommend! Worth every penny!

AMAZING FAMILY TIME!

I retired from the Navy this past weekend but I no longer live in Annapolis so I needed a large place to accommodate about 10 people. Of course, we could have all stayed in separate hotel rooms but, it was SO nice to all be in the same house and have time to just relax together and sit out on the awesome back screen porch or in the living room or dining room or kitchen. We used every room on the main floor to hang out with friends and family in between events this past weekend. I was so relaxed and thankful to have all my out of town family with me and I could have NEVER achieved that if we were staying in separate hotel rooms. There was also plenty of room to have other friends over and just enjoy spending time together. Also, I despise being hot and the AC worked great! The kitchen was SUPER clean and had everything we needed. The bedrooms had large sitting areas and were very comfortable too. I had a perfect retirement weekend thanks in large part to the accommodations I selected. It's better to be lucky than good and I REALLY got lucky with this choice! The owners were super responsive too. GREAT EXPERIENCE! AND!!! The location is unbeatable in Annapolis! PG street is PERFECT. You can walk everywhere including the Stadium with ease.

Wonderful place in a great city

My family and I are relatively new to VRBO, so probably needed a bit more process related hand holding than more seasoned VRBO users. Our hosts were incredibly generous with their offer of help with both process issues, and practical/logistical issues regarding the functional use of their beautiful home. The house is large, well positioned in the city, and immediately proximate to great restaurants, shopping, and places to walk to dog. It was also prepared for our arrival as clean, and well organized as any fine hotel we’ve visited, and even generously provisioned by our very thoughtful hosts. Awesome choice for a family vacation in a cool city.

Perfect for reunion

Had 4 former USNA roommates and wives stay for err union weekend and it was perfect. Plenty of space for each couple to have their own area. The communal rooms gave us many opportunities to sit and talk. Location to the Yard can’t be beat. The owners went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. And it is a really cool house!

A historic gem appointed with care for the most comfort!

Shawn & Anne's property was exactly what we were looking for, but the kindness of our hosts went beyond all of our expectations! They were responsive, accommodating and made sure we had a very pleasant stay -- from the welcome basket, to the carefully laid-out instructions, and nice touches throughout the house. The home is exactly as pictured, and proved to be very warm, comfortable and quiet, even though it's right in the middle of town with great access to downtown restaurants, the boat show and more. We love our 'new' home complete with 1870’s quirks complemented by a modern kitchen, updated baths and a location in the middle of historic Annapolis. We moved into town from the woods three miles away when our youngest went to college.

Why they chose this property

Prince George Street is the greatest street in Annapolis. We parachuted into the center of historic Annapolis with dining, art galleries, pubs, the circular playhouse and shopping just a few minutes walk away. One word to describe the whole place: PLEASANT.

What makes this property unique

Historic 1870's cool relaxed, casual, definitely not a museum feel.
Exposed brick walls. Plenty of communal spaces as well as get away/leave me alone places in which to retreat.
