We enjoyed a quiet Time on the lake, and enjoyed the privacy the woods offered. The campfire was a bonus, though we had to be conscious of the dryness of everything around. It's a great location for hikes and train through Crawford Notch Thanks to owners of a lovely stay. Frederica
We had a wonderful stay at Pinewoods. Some of the furniture was a little tired but the house was neat and clean. The water was lovely and our grandchildren loved playing and floating in it. Unfortunately the grill was broken but we did make the owner aware so hopefully that will be fixed for future guests. Overall a great vacation spot.
We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was relaxing and peaceful. The host was very thoughtful about every detail. Everything you needed to make your visit perfect was provided at the charming house. Access to Moose Pond was perfect! Thank you.
The Seiler house is just about the epitome of a cottage on the lake: great dock and diving platform for fishing and swimming, shady decks at lakeside for early morning reading, and best of all, a great, roomy screened porch. The house is well furnished, except you need to provide your own linens and towels. We drove from Ohio, so we lost some packing space in the back hatch because of the linens. The kitchen was perfect, with a dining table for meals and games. We enjoyed the use of the row boat and canoes.Altogether a wonderful week.
Our family (3 generations) had a wonderful, relaxing week at Pinewoods! Modern house was very clean with 3 full bathrooms, screened in porch, stocked kitchen, inviting pathway leading to a great swimming area and docks. Loons were calling to us every night (almost too loudly)! Dehumidifier kept the downstairs comfortable and dry even on a 91 degree day. Owners Roger and Sally were always very responsive to help us with any questions ( plus they are truly nice people). We highly recommend Pinewoods and hope to return next year.
We had a wonderful stay at Pinewoods. Mother nature wasn't on our side, but the house was big enough to accommodate us all and give us some space when we had cabin fever. The lake was very clean, and the property was very shady, so stayed cool during the day when the sun was actually out. The house was equipped with everything needed.

The way life should be
This is our third visit to Maine, and this was, by far, the nicest home we have stayed in. It was very clean and spacious. We never felt crowded. The kitchen is well stocked, and there were enough fans to keep us cool at night. The family room with the fuse ball table was fun for the boys. My parents enjoyed the screened in patio and the deck. At night, we used the fireplace and there's plenty of seating outside. Moose Pond is beautiful and a perfect place to fish, water ski, paddle board or just relax on the doc. The little town of Brigton is very quaint with a few restaurants and shops.

Beautiful location but not what I expected.
We just returned from a week at Pinewoods. The location is nice, a short 15 mins drive to downtown Bridgton. Peaceful wooded setting. The pond is great. Very clear and clean water. My kids enjoyed the dock, the jumping dock and the row boat. We spent our days on the water.
The main issues related to the house cleaning, we found it uncleaned upon our arrival, food in fridge and very dirty with spills and crumbs, the floor had crumbs all over, the table had food crumbs and we found peanuts all over the porch cushions ( we have a peanut allergy child). We spent our first few hours cleaning the home. The owner was very responsive to our concerns with the cleanliness and spoke to the cleaners immediately.
The furniture in the family room upstairs is very weathered. Lots of stains and fading. Both bathroom sinks upstairs were very backed up as was the master bedroom shower.
The fridge upstairs did not work for a portion of our stay, thankfully there was a back up fridge in the basement. The owners did get someone out to address the fridge within a few days. Again, the owners were very attentive. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for a week of cooking. The downstairs closet was full of board games which the kids used all week long.
The biggest issue for my family, was the dampness in the downstairs, which is where 2 of the bedrooms are located. The twin room never dried out, the carpet was damp the entire week, even with a dehumidifier running non stop, a fan and windows open. My kids came home sick. The morning we were packing up we noticed some mold behind one of the beds.
The house did have a lot of space and accommodated our group well.
We also did have a bat in the home, likely would have been found if the cleaners had done a better job of cleaning the property. I believe if the few issues are taken care of this property really would be a great vacation spot.
The house was immaculately clean. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and the pinewood path that led to the lake beckoned.
Our family of 5 adults and one child fit the house perfectly. 3 generations of a family could not have had a better time in this rustic and comfortable home.
Very clean, well-stocked house. Perfect set-up for our group of 9, with 3 families, including 3 young children. Open floor plan on main level allowed kids to play and be seen by adults. 2 sleeping levels , plus screened porch with door helped with nap times. Walk down to the little beach was so convenient. The kids loved the foosball table. We also enjoyed the larger beach at Highland Lake in Bridgton, just 15 minutes away and some area hikes. Roger was considerate and responsive.

Family Vacation
Great location, very nice home. Disappointed that tables and surfaces were dirty post pandemic. We had a great time at the lake and we missed that the linens were not included until after seeing the rental contract. Should be noted on listing!
We had a fantastic week away with little children at this house. The house was hot during the heat wave and there is only one air conditioner but the lake is beautiful. We did get a call from the neighbors saying we were too loud...our party was four adults with six sleeping children so we felt the call was unnecessary. Sally and Roger were great and easy to work with.
The property was just great and exactly as advertised. We so enjoyed walking down to the water and sitting on the dock or swimming in the clear water. It's located in a pretty quiet part of the lake.
The kitchen is well stocked. The bedrooms are comfortable as are the beds. All good! I would return.
It's called Moose Pond, but it's really the size of a small lake. Beautifully appointed home with everything you need. We did not use canoes (had our kayaks) but did use the rowboat--just to remind ourselves how much fun a rowboat can be. Mountain trail close by....steep! but well marked. Place is private and easily accessible, and town (Bridgton) has great shops, bookstore, farmer's market, coffee shop, so much more. Owners provided a multitude of info (brochures) as well as helpful instructions for light switches, appliances, etc. Caught a large bass right off the dock (threw it back in) and heard a great horned owl. No mosquitoes---honest! I could write a longer review, but basically, it's all good.
Lovely house and waterfront. Roger and Sally were helpful the entire time we were there. FYI: the property is East-facing so the beach/dock doesn't get much/any sun in the afternoon. This isn't necessarily bad, just worth knowing if you're a sun-worshiper! The house is private, quiet, and well-stocked with anything you might need (including games, water toys, fans, and a baby gate for the stairs, thank goodness!). Just don't forget your linens like we did...oops!
This was a much needed vacation for our family this year. The house was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. It accommodated my husband and myself, two daughters with spouses, a toddler and an infant. The bedroom setup with two up and two down worked out great for us. My son in law brought his pontoon boat and the lake was great for fishing. There are sandbars around the lake which was fun for getting out of the boat and swimming.
Roger the owner was very nice and kept us up to date with the rules concerning the Covid crisis and was available for any questions and concerns. Back to the real world but thankful for the week.
The waterfront and property is nicer than it appeared in the listing photos. It is perfect for kids that like to swim and go fishing. We canoed a lot, which was plenty boating for the kids. If you have a speed boat, I'd suggest bringing it. A bunch of families were tubing on the lake and having a good time on the weekends. During the regular work week, we seemed to be the only family there.
We had a great time at Pinewoods during our stay recently. The home was clean, very well stocked and with very good instructions. Roger was very easy to work with and helped us navigate through the whole Covid requirements.
The activities for kids & adults were plenty. Fooseball table, books, classic movies for a rainy day - we had few of those - swimming, canoeing on the lake, fire pit for the evenings were all perfect. Access to a medium/hard hiking was right across the street.
Overall it was a very good experience and we'd rent this place without any hesitation.
pinewoods was welcoming from the minute we walked in the door.there was enough room for ourselves, our adult kids, and grandkids to have time all together comfortably and enough private space to have privacy when it was bedtime.there were plenty of activities to keep our family occupied including board games, swimming, boating, and hiking.
the hiking trail (pleasant mountain) that is a stones throw away from the top of the driveway is the only reason we left pinewoods unless we had to go to the market.we felt like we were away from it all altho when we went into bridgton it was nice that it was only a 15 min drive.thank you roger and sally for sharing your wonderful property.
Our family loved this vacation camp/home! So much space, so much to do, so many amenities, and thoughtful owners! We would highly recommend this vacation rental! ☺
