(main flr. 1 queen bed; 2nd story 1 queen, 1 double & 2 single beds). The Lower Level 2 bedroom Apartment Standard Rate: $125 night, $775 week, $1500 month. Spring Rate: $100 night, $550 week, $1000 month. Sleeps up to a maximum 4 people (1 queen & 1 double bed), All guests must sleep in beds; no overnight sleeping on couches, sleeping bags on the floor, in tents, RV's, boats, etc.

Pet fee = $10-$15 per pet per day depending upon the pet's pedigree & size.

Credit Card Fee = 4%. Pay by check, money order, wire transfer and avoid a 4% of the gross transaction processing fee.

The lower level walkout basement is only available to the party renting the top 2 floors and will NOT be rented to a separate party.

Lake San Cristobal (2nd largest natural body of water in CO.) 5 miles south of town. Blue Mesa Reservoir (largest body of water in CO.) 45 miles north; Black Canyon National Park 120 miles NW. Enjoy shopping and dining in downtown Lake City, within 10-15 minutes walking distance from this property. This property was purchased in Hinsdale County (96% public lands, little development) offering a true mountain setting and natural environment experience. There are numerous trails for hiking the 14,000 ft. mountains and many off road atv and jeep trails. The Alpine Loop (Cinnamon Pass elevation = 12,640 ft and Engineer Pass elevation 12,815 ft) scenery is equal to Trail Ridge Rd. in Rocky Mt. National Park, except there are relatively few people on the Alpine Loop. This property offers abundant off street parking in front and back of the house.

For outdoor relaxation there is a covered balcony deck (8 ft x 30 ft) with deck furniture, gas grill, charcoal grill and exceptional panoramic mountain views. Also, an open deck (8 ft x 30 ft) and a ground level cement patio

(6 ft x 30 ft). Enjoy the large campfire pit, tetherball, bean bag toss game (similar to horse shoes) or the provided 10 speed bicycles.

3 bathrooms & 2 kitchens avoids wasting time waiting to use the bathroom & cook meals. The 2nd living room located in the basement walkout apartment offers a quiet get away from the main floor.

The nature trail runs along the south side of the property leading to the river walk over the pedestrian bridge, the river runs approximately 175 ft. in front of the house. Love it!

My family has been vacationing in Lake City almost every year for over 30 years. As a result we have stayed in just about every accommodation available. For the past several years we have rented this house for a month's time and find it perfect for our needs.

It is an easy walk to town via the walking trails or one can go the other direction and have access to hiking trails. The neighborhood is quiet and we have even gotten to know some of them over the years.

The option to rent the basement apartment is an added plus for visiting friends and relatives.

We along with our dog Gus give it 5 stars!

Great location, comfortable and roomy

Great location - easy walk to town and short drive to lake and trail heads. Big covered deck, plenty of parking and lots of room in the house. Well-stocked kitchen; had everything we needed when we wanted to cook. Clean, well-maintained - owner is responsive and easy to deal with. Will stay here again!

Great Home!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Lake City and at this house in particular. The owner is very accommodating and responsive. The property manager lives next door and welcomed us our first day providing some interesting history of the town and let us know he was available to us at any time if we needed him. The house was very clean when we arrived which made it easy to keep it that way. All pertinent information to include how to operate the televisions, the Wi-Fi password, the cleaning check out list etc. were posted in appropriate places with easy to follow steps. The house was well stocked with everything you would need for a week-long stay. It truly felt like a home away from home!!!

I read in another review before going about the steep staircase to the second floor of the main home. I would like to reiterate that yes it is steep but unless you have a physical ailment it was doable.

Neat vacation home

We had 8 adults and 4 kids stay for a week in this house this summer. It was perfect! The 3 levels have each family the right amount of space. The house was clean and if we forgot anything, the house supplied it. The view was gorgeous and the very short walk to the river kept the kids entertained as well as the deer who came by to say hi. I recommend this property for a relaxing mountain getaway.

We stayed at this house for a week with daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. We absolutely loved it. Perfect location. Kitchen and laundry room were well appointed. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were roomy. Wifi worked well. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for Us

We have stayed four times at this house. It is roomy and convenient. All of our Lake City area activities can be conducted from here. The house is located in a subdivision close to Lake City, and traffic isn't too noisy. It's a short walk into town on a path and over a cool bridge that crosses the river. Staying here is easy. At the front entry, we can take off our boots, and hang coats. Immediately on the left is the laundry room where dirty clothes can be deposited. The kitchen has all of the implements necessary to cook. There is a large gas grill on the covered back porch that works. There are plenty of windows with screens to allow in fresh air. We had to work on our computers sometimes, and the internet worked fine. Our son and his wife stayed with us, and there was enough privacy for us all. We could drink coffee on the porch in the morning, and see deer strolling around. We plan to be back again for a fifth stay.
