By Paris standards it's a very large (645 square feet), one-bedroom/one bathroom property and includes living room/dining room area, galley kitchen, bedroom and bath. The apartment is designed with the idea of bringing look and feel of the Paris skyline inside with a calm palette while, gray, blue and violet sparked by carefully placed burst of silver and glass. An private entry area opens into the a very light and airy open-plan living/dining area with its stunning views of the Eiffel Tower.

LIVING/DINING AREA: The main living/dining area has a table with seating for four, a comfortable sleeper sofa and armchair placed around an Internet-enabled 46” Samsung HDTV. There's access to 100+ channels, including CNN International, Sky News International and BBC World. Plus there is an extensive library of DVDs of movies featuring Paris, such as “Midnight in Paris”, “Sabrina” and “Maria Antionette”.

Residential design and decor is my passion, and I strive to provide dwelling places that are more expressive, more beautiful, more comfortable than most vacation rentals. I live part-time in all these places. So each functions as a personal 'home' -- not just an impersonal rental property. So there are many things, both big and small -- from superb heating and air conditioning to an extensive French art glass collection to oyster knives, a sushi set and escargot forks -- that are not usually found in properties that are used exclusively as rentals. The hallmark of each residence is its personal style, which reflects its unique character and location. For example, my Paris penthouse, the top floor of a handsome Art Deco building with sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower and Parisian rooftops, is thoughtful designed with the idea of bringing the look and feel of skyscape and its light inside with a calm silver-grey palette sparked by carefully placed bursts of glass, chrome, mirrors and colour. My philosophy is that I would never rent a property that I would not stay in myself. So, putting myself into my guests’ shoes, I 'think of everything' -- as my many 'five-star' guest reviews confirm -- to make your stay a most positive and memorable experience.

If you read the many excellent 'five-star' guest reviews, they thoroughly answer the question, 'Why this property?' Personally, I lived in Paris for several years before purchasing the penthouse so I was quite familiar with the City and the profile of different arrondissements and neighborhoods. I chose this property and location because 1) I LOVE the Eiffel Tower, and the penthouse has fantastic views of it from 5 windows and the apartment itself if very light, open and airy, 2) the neighborhood is lively (with many cafes/restaurants and stores), safe AND truly Parisian. That is, it's not overrun by tourists so you really live like a local while you're here, 3) it offers convenient day-to-day living -- stores/services, such as post office, big and small supermarkets, an outdoor market are within a 2-5 minute walk 4) the penthouse is only one block from a convenient metro line that provides easy access to all major sights in the city and a five minute walk to the Champs des Mars, the huge park that surrounds the Eiffel Tower, which provides a great place to walk/run/and people watch.

What makes this apartment unique

I never tire of the stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from each of the penthouse windows. The view is especially inspiring from the window of fully-equipped office/study. So as I work, I can glaze from my desk (which is smack in front of the window) and see this marvelous structure. I also love the privacy of the penthouse, the conveniences (bakeries, food/convenience stores, wine bar) at are literally a 30 second walk from outside the building gates) truly Parisian neighborhood, and walking/exercising on the Champs des Mars, the park where the Eiffel Tower is located.
