On Cinnamon Beach

Beautiful location right on the beach. Condo was roomy and nicely decorated with everything that we needed for our stay. We would suggest that there be some instructions for the use of the tv in the condo. Also, suggest that the sliding doors to the balcony need some attention. The door was very difficult to slide.

Good location but smelled and numerous maintenance issues

The positive: This condo is well located on Cinnamon Beach in the private Hammock Beach community. Because of its 2nd floor location, you canā€™t actually see the beach but you can hear the waves crashing and see the ocean in the distance. The view is great and the patio is pleasant to sit on. The kitchen is well equipped and the unit is spacious. The negative: It smelled ā€¦ not a sharp smell from something like garbage that was left behind, but perhaps worse, it had a constant sour smell that seems to come from soft furniture and area rugs whoā€™s good days are well behind them. And many annoying maintenance issues need addressed - for example, the sliding door to the patio sticks so bad that my wife couldnā€™t open it. Oh, and thereā€™s no operable lock on that door either, so you have to get a plastic pvc pipe in and out of the track to lock/unlock the door which looks like it hasnā€™t been cleaned in years (itā€™s a gross process). There were multiple other issues like this .. none of which make the unit unusable, but each of which adds up to a negative experience.

Disappointed

The pros: This is a very spacious condo with a great layout. When you first enter, there is a small hallway to the left that has a bedroom, full bath, and laundry room. As you enter the main space of the condo, the "kids" bedroom is to the right before you enter the kitchen. The main bedroom is near the balcony just off of the living area. The first floor of the facility is garage parking, and the condo is on the second floor. It is in a very nice community. We walked down to the clubhouse area one evening. We didn't end up using those facilities, but definitely would have if the weather had been a little nicer. The cons: There was barely any hot water. If you took more than a 5 minute shower, you were flirting with rinsing off in ice cold water. The ladies in my party would have to turn the water off mid-shower if they were shaving or washing their hair. You definitely had to plan showering around this so that everyone could have a warm shower. The door lock gave us issues from the very beginning. Some of the numbers on the keypad were worn beyond use. This led to the worst part of our trip... We had to call the property management company to send out maintenance. The maintenance guy was incredibly rude, and ended up threatening my elderly mother-in-law. One of the worst VRBO experiences I've ever encountered. The property management company did offer an acceptable resolution, but the experience was still very off-putting.

Great family property

This condo was everything that was promised! Beautiful location and amenities. The layout of the condo was perfect for multiple families. We enjoyed the covered patio. Great beach access!

Great Condo

The condo was huge and the kitchen was well stocked. It was easy access to the beach and parking. The clubhouse and pool were within walking distance. The condo is on the second floor, but really the first floor with rooms. You can view the ocean from the balcony, but you cannot not see the beach or people on the beach. Overall, still a great view. As others have said, you can hear the people/kids running in the condo above you. This did not bother us, but may someone else. We loved the condo and location and would return.

Beautiful oceanfront condo

We booked this condo intending to stay in March of 2020, and finally did in March 2022. It still looked exactly like the pictures. The layout worked well for our family of four including two teens. When we couldn't figure out how to get the slider door open (security bar in the track!) we called VTrips, and they sent someone within a half hour to help us out. The condo was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pools, and the gorgeous ocean views. Should we visit Palm Coast again, we would stay in this condo again.

Beautiful location, outdated unit

The condo was a perfect set up for my family regarding bedrooms. I like how there were twin beds for the kids. The condo had a beautiful view and great location. The unit itself was a little outdated. The couches in the living room had some stains. The kitchen cookware also needed some updating. There were very basic items in the kitchen and was lacking some things. It would have been nice to have some simple spices or salt/pepper shakers that worked. I thought for a family rental property some additional kitchen basics would be included. Additionally, all condo instructions for check in and checkout were all online. It would have been helpful to have a welcome book with some basic information about the unit so you did not have to continuously log in and pull up the site. Lastly, I emailed asking for a slightly later checkout time a day before our departure and never heard back from anyone. And then the cleaning company showed up to clean the unit 15 minutes before our checkout time. Overall, it was just an okay property. Needs some TLC and attention to detail to really make guests feel welcome.

The master bathroom toilet was ready to fall over. It was like this when we got there and the handle on back bathroom was off. We fixed that. They promised us towels. We never received them. The condo was pretty and the area was pretty.

We enjoyed our stay. My biggest complaint is that the units are not sound proofed like you would expect a condo to be. Could hear family above walking and sliding furniture, and was quite loud.

We had an amazing time on our vacation! You will never get tired of the amazing beach views or the pools for lounging by! We will definitely rent this condo again! It was very clean and has so much room! We extended our stay a day longer and it was so easy to do! We hated to leave!

Condo was large and comfortable for our group of 7 and very clean. The view is absolutely amazing! Property manager responded promptly when we had an issue with the shower door. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice unit

The unit is nice size and very roomy. It was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with all you need to cook. Loved having a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable.The parking situation was confusing. the contract says there are 2 parking spots for this unit but it wasn't clear if they were under the building or in front of the building. We thought our 2 spots were probably under the building but because we weren't sure we parked outside in front of the building. That was OK but not has convenient. It seems that VTrips lumps the houses and condos together when sending the large document/contract of rules, etc. Some of the information in that document seemed more aligned with the houses you rent rather than the condos. Made for some confusion. I did not like working with VTrips because they either took forever to return your call/email or just didn't respond at all. When we got to the unit we noticed the master shower door was sticking and the handle was loose. We called the maintenance dept. the 2nd day, left a message because you can't talk to a person and no one from maintenance called us back the entire week. Overall the unit was nice and we had a great vacation.

Poor management

Experience with V trips management was frustrating and stressful. Could not get into unit with security code. Had to call . Unit was 62 degrees and could not get air off. Unable to program Tvs. 2 remotes, no instructions. Called V trips . Told they were shorted staffed and didnā€™t know when they could get to us. When told about heat problem after third call, told it was an emergency and they would send someone that night. No one showed up. Called next day 3 times. Talked to Manager Austin. Heard about short staff again. Told him we should be reimbursed for Saturday and Sunday. He started that it would be considered after stay. Have not heard from them. Repair person showed up about 4pm Sunday. Also extreme amount of paperwork to complete to rent unit. Would not care to deal with V trips again.
