Beautiful Waterfront Views on Vashon Island

Experience the best view on Vashon Island, just steps from the North End ferry terminal .This updated, charming cabin is right at the edge of Puget Sound.

Located at the end of the north end ferry dock, the cabin is quiet and secluded, but easy to get to. Built in1923, and renovated in 2018 the house is has modern comfort with many original elements and fixtures. A full kitchen (minus freezer) allows you to create your own meals, or just make coffee in the morning before heading out to explore the island.

Enjoy your coffee on the deck with the seals as you watch the sunrise, watch for orcas from the deck, or have drinks on the deck as the moon rises over the Seattle skyline.

Our goal is to provide a calm and peaceful environment for our guests to enjoy the Puget Sound. Accessibility and stunning panoramic views make it the perfect island get-away. After spending a weekend on the water, you won't want to go home!

Let me just start out by saying that this place was STUNNING! The house, the fireplace, the deck, the amazing view. I would give it 5 stars of hot for one major exception: The houseā€™s Proximity to the Ferry is literally one house away from the dock. No matter what, going up the road or down, you are stuck with the Ferry line taking up the road. It is the only street that the incoming ferryā€™s cars off-load to, so you will sit and wait to turn left out on the road. The host did give some very basic ā€œwhat to do if thereā€™s a Ferry Lineā€ instructions, but they were vague directions. It took us a good 20-30mins trying to figure out where to go. The off-loading wasnā€™t mentioned, and that wound up being a big problem because we couldnā€™t get out of the driveway for 15-20 mins when we were trying to leave for my cousins wedding (the reason we werenā€™t her win the first place). We came so close to actually missing the ceremony because of this. So if youā€™re planning on staying here I think itā€™s something very important to consider with what kind of plans you have for your visit.My husband also wanted me to add that they had a wonderful collection of different coffee making methods, but no coffee! Bring some coffee and enjoy it with the morning view for him! There was also a substantial assortment of binoculars by the back door that he enjoyed tinkering with.That said, everything else was AMAZING. If we werenā€™t on such a tight schedule for our trip it wouldā€™ve been different m.

It was a lovely spot to enjoy our morning coffee.There was a cute little coffee shop up the road that my husband went up to since we didnā€™t bring our own coffee.

Pam was a great host. Helped us with some pre-trip planning ideas and was very responsive when we went to the wrong house at check-in. (Our fault). The house is cute and spacious and has everything needed. The location to the ferry is perfect, but without a car not the most convenient to town. Again, our fault. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. Very peaceful and quiet which surprised us considering the proximity to the ferry landing. We will definitely stay here when we return.

We really enjoyed our week in this lovely little cabin on Vashon Island. The waterfront location was sublime. The cabin was furnished in a classy and subtle way (Thank you- NO signs that said BEACH and an arrow) :D Pamela was a great host, very responsive to communication and providing a cooler for us. The proximity to the ferry was both charming and slightly noisy- it is literally at the ramp of the ferry, lots of ferry traffic through the day. At night it got nice and quiet. We also liked that we could have a friend walk on the ferry from West Seattle and we could meet him, no cars necessary. We made friends with a few seals that swam pretty close and high tide literally splashes the bulkhead. Thank you- we hope to visit this wonderful cabin again!

Our first time on Vashon Island and this home made all the difference. It was clean, up to date, roomy just as advertised in the listing. Kitchen was well laid out and equipped with all we needed, and the front deck right on the water is amazing. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to our emails. Location is right adjacent to the ferry terminal where it took us two minutes to walk to the water taxi to Seattle, a 22 minute ride. Great way to see the new Seattle waterfront--it is amazing. Our host recommended the May Kitchen for dinner and it was wonderful--highly recommended. We really recommend this home.

Charming cottage on the sound

Check in is a breeze. When we got there in the late afternoon the tide was in. I was pleasantly surprised to see that when the tide goes out, we're on the beach! We had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. We're from the Midwest and had never made coffee "the French way" before, added more culture to our lives! The hosts were sweet and answered any questions before and during our stay. Loved it on Vashon, it's a magical, whimsical place. Good one to put on your bucket list!

Watching the ferries

We were on Vashon for a family wedding and this property fitted our needs. When we were in residence we were mesmerized by the water traffic. The property was as advertised and worked well for the two of us. Having visited Vashon a number of times we were very familiar with the island so could find everything we needed.

Our stay was wonderful. The mornings on the deck and days exploring the island. The nights watching the Ocean and ferries are unforgettable. We loved everthing about it. We did not leave the island the entire week. There was so much to do. The place was very clean and accessible. The host was very responsive as well. We would love to come back again for sure. Quick getaway

Had a lovely quick trip to Vashon. We embraced being so close to the WA State Ferry dock and enjoyed watching all the summer ferry traffic come and go. Very handy if you want to be towards the head of the line for the morning ferry! A little tricky going around the ferry holdover lane to come and go but we had no problems.

Vashon Island summer solstice getaway

We really enjoyed our three-day stay at this property, which is right on Puget Sound, close to the Ferry Terminal. Views from the wall of windows are extraordinary. Wildlife visitors at low tide included several seals and a bald eagle. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, so one improvement we'd suggest, in case it's a rainy day, are a couple of floor lamps for reading.

Priceless excursion into the past.

Almost perfect stay. Million dollar views, great location, and surprisingly spacious. Our only minor issues were that the Roku controller wasnā€™t available and the coffee situation wasnā€™t spelled out. It was also wasnā€™t clear what we should do about cleaning up at check out. We did trash, recycling and gathered wet linen. We were very happy with our stay . Thx Beth and Bob Hoffman

Perfect Girls Weekend

Stayed for 2 nights and will HAPPILY stay again. The host was wonderfully communicative, the house was in the most incredible location (literally right on the water - the pictures are accurate!) and was just what we were looking for. Very private, serene and comfortable. Views from every room too - what a bonus! Would definitely recommend and will be back!

On the Water

Loved the location, near the ferries on the water. Clean and great views. Probably best in warmer weather as it was difficult to get it warm enough in the main room, kitchen and bath. Bedroom were very comfortable, warmth wise and the bed was very comfortable. Kitchen very adequately equipped and it was clean. Could use better chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay there again.

Great spot to stay on Vashon!

Lovely setting, great place to watch the ferries, harbor seals, cormorants, ducks, seagulls, and more. Very clean and nicely decorated. All the basics are provided for your stay. We'll try to come back during the summer to enjoy the deck!

Great weekend

The amenities are as described in the listing. We flew in, Ubered to Fauntleroy Ferry Station. Bus into Vashon is cheap and works well. No need for a rental car. Very relaxing.

Loved our stay in this beautiful beach cottage

We had a wonderful first visit to Vashon island and this gorgeous property was perfect! Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The location and view are beyond words. You're so close to the water that you feel like you're on a cruise ship without the rocking waves šŸ˜ Pamela was wonderful and very responsive with information and answers to our questions. We hope to visit again one day.
