Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway and could not have asked for a better location. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Cabin was great size for our family of 5.
The location of this property is perfect. It’s very close to Tweetsie Railroad, Boone, and Bowing. The cabin was very clean and looked exactly like the photos. We loved our stay there!

We enjoyed our gateway, everything was clean, the property was very nice and everything as described. We enjoyed the hot tub and nice views.
We were only disappointed that the TV in the main room was small but overall we highly recommend the place and we will definitely be back.
Thanks for hosting us.

Thank You for the feedback. We hope to see you again soon!
Cute house in a great location. Very clean!!! It had a mountain/Scottish theme, so it was dark, but was cute. Loved that it was one level and easy to access even though it’s in the mountains. Would definitely recommend and rent again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Celtic Cabin. It was a great location right off the Blue Ridge between Boone and Blowing Rock. The amenities were wonderful, including the hidden fire pit. I enjoyed my morning coffee sitting on the front porch and looking over the garden with chipmunks running around. When we return to the mountains next year, we plan to stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing! Our greatest reward is hearing from our guest that they had a great time and enjoyed the home. Take care and we hope you will revisit again soon.
Such a cozy cabin to spend a snowy weekend in! Fireplace and hot tub kept us toasty warm! The neighborhood was a great place to take a walk in the snow! Roads to the neighborhood were kept plowed throughout the snow storm! Someone came out and plowed the driveway and cleared the front walk way! We did not expect this and it was a pleasant surprise!
The cabin is located in a gorgeous area with beautiful trees and a quiet road. The cabin was a perfect size for our family of four and could have easily housed two more guests. We prepared breakfast daily in the kitchen and one dinner. We utilized the hot tub and the swing set while looking at the fall foliage. The cabin is in need of updating and cleaning in a few spots. All of the pots and pans are non stick but have been severely damaged by utensil scrapes and have pieces of metal detaching from them. Recommend a complete new set. The sheets had some stains and there were spider webs in the master bath. The pillows are clearly old and need a refresh and the mattress is of low quality and stiff. We did have an issue getting check in instructions, which had to be prompted and the key code was incorrect on arriving. Both of these were rectified immediately. All in all, it was a great stay due to the price relative to others in the area and provided us ample space to relax.
We really did enjoy the home overall and it's location. The kids had a great time and it's close to town. Beautiful deck area around the house and a back yard to play in.
I do have to say it is really overdue for new dining room chairs. Half of them are broken and the seats all all worn out. The beds are all old and need replaced as well. Not comfortable and can hear springs popping. Those are our only complaints that are easily fixable.
Be careful in winter without 4 wheel drive or chains for snow/ice. One area going up mountain we had trouble with and we couldn't pull into garage area with the ice and snow on the steep driveway. Had to park on the road and unload everything on icy slope made it a little difficult to get everything inside.
We still enjoyed our winter vacation at the Celtic and memories with the family were made 💞
We had a great time in this little cabin. Even though the square footage says, 1800, or something similar, the owners did a great job of making the homes' layout feel bigger. Bedrooms were good size with plenty of storage, however ceiling fans in the bedrooms would help air-flow, as it got hot and sleeping became slightly tricky for our family. My son's utilized a box fan they found in their closet. We were a perfect distance to downtown Blowing Rock, Appalachian ski resort and downtown Boone. We visited each location multiple times during our stay. Kitchen was well equipped, however a kitchen-sized garbage can is a must. Our little family of 4 filled their little trash can 2x a day, and we were constantly taking trips to the garage to empty said trash can. Fireplace and hot tub were wonderful and well maintained. Our only issue was check-in, as the lock itself was broken. Luckily the cabin rental company was very quick to respond to my call and was able to get us a new code and we were able to enter the property. However, we could not lock the door, which made me a little uneasy at night. But the following day, maintenance came out and replaced the lock. Getting into the garage with the key was also tricky, as the key stuck in the lock itself many times. They probably need to change that lock as well, as it is worn. Wouldn't be a big deal, but renters need to access the garage to take care of trash. Otherwise, a great stay, would definitely recommend.

We are grateful for your feedback. Our staff is thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the home and we look forward to welcoming you back to our home soon.
Absolutely loved the character of property.
Cabin had not been cleaned when we checked in, but the management staff replied immediately & got it taken care of in short order. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, wished we'd have known that when we did the last second booking.
Driveway is pretty steep, don't plan on getting a normal car into the driveway, but you can park on street in cul-de-sac.
Horeshoe pit was great. Mattress' could be updated.

Jim, thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Celtic Cabin! We appreciate your comments and are happy to report the hot tub is functioning properly. Thank you for staying with us, and we hope you will visit us again soon!
This place has numerous problems: (1) the pictures in the listing suggest a much larger place - my fault for not looking at the square footage, but in spite of the sleeping options, this place is too small for 7-8 people; (2) the stove top was filthy; (3) the oven was also in bad need of cleaning, as it smoked when we first turned it on; (4) there were no sheets for the sofa bed and there were crumbs on the mattress; (5) there were not enough towels for 7 people; (6) at least one of the sink faucets constantly drips; (7) the washing machine doesn't spin properly, leaving clothes sopping wet; (8) the dryer took forever to dry clothes even though we rung out the clothes by hand; (9) the sheets need replacement as they kept falling off the beds while people were sleeping on them; (10) the listing should have stated that we needed to bring our own paper products - no replacement roll of toilet paper was unbelievable! The place needs a much better cleaning crew and a repairman!! I will definitely not go back!
This home was the perfect size for our family of six. Clean, easy to get to, private but in a nice neighborhood. The kids loved the hot tub. We had an easy trip to the Tweetsie ghost train and could hear the haunting whistle from the house :)
Beautiful location, great amenities, and local to al the destinations we wanted to visit. Also, being of Scottish heritage I loved all the Celtic detail in the home. Thank you for sharing.
This property definitely fit the bill for a short stay in Blowing Rock or Boone. A clean and comfortable cabin with a Scottish theme that gives it a lot of charm. Loved the "Bag Pipe Clock." We would stay again.
Great stay! Loved the location- just off the blue ridge parkway and convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the deck. Thanks for a great summer kickoff trip!
Our family came together here because we are scattered far. Celtic cabin was a beautiful comfortable place to do this. Landscaping and view were fabulous, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. the hidden fire pit area behind the house was an added bonus. The kids loved roasting marshmallows at dusk. Would rent again.
Overall, wonderful. The Scottish and Irish decor was fascinating from beginning to end. Perched overlooking distant snow covered hills, this retreat will be remembered. Our children enjoyed the adventure exploring the property inside and out.
We had a wonderful time. Great location if you are looking for quiet and safe neighborhood. 20-30 minutes from gem mining and skiing (Appalachian mountain). Kitchen had everything you need. Lots of plates, glasses, and pots and pans. House was in great condition. Very clean, plenty of towels and pillows. Hot tub was a great feature. We chose this place over another one (and paid a few hundred more) due to hot tub and we were not disappoint. Kids played in the backyard. Hubby BBQ. The property management always answered our calls and were helpful. Thank you to the owners for sharing their cozy home. Beautiful pictures all around the house. We really enjoyed looking at them. Definitely recommend this place!
