Our family had a wonderful time here! We loved the cabin, the view, and even got to bring our furbabies with us (which is rare to find). The warning about bears is legit- we had one steal our marshmallow bag out of the trunk of the car while we were taking loads of groceries inside! But it was incredible to see the bears up close and a good reminder to respect the rules/warnings the host provides. We would love to stay here again in the future.
We enjoyed staying here. You are in the mountains with a great view, but also can quickly be in the city of Gatlinburg. Great set up for us and 3 adult children.
Great location in Gatlinburg, beautiful views, loved all the balconies for outdoor dining, relaxing in easy chairs and outdoor firepit area added another area for enjoying family before dinner.
We had bear visitors galore! At least 10differernt bears showed up including sow with a single cub, another with three cubs and yet another wit two cubs and at least two big ol' boys.
The accommodations were really nice and I highly recommend Just A Family Lodge. It's close to anything Gatlinburg or any other activity you desire.

Best host and cabin
This was the best cabin. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, bears, and such a perfect host. Kate went above and beyond. We have stayed in many cabins in the area, this one is definitely our favorite, we will stay here again.
The owner was very responsive also helped over above and beyond. We did see 5 bears early in the morning. We are definitely going to come back to this location and cabin.
Had a great time here with old friends 60-70. The 5 bedrooms with bathrooms were perfect for our 4 1/2 couples. Pool table, hot tubs and view from the deck were a plus and the parking and house were easy to get in and out of. I recommend this place and hope to be back!
There were 9 of us and 2 small dogs.
The road up to the cabin is a little challenging but all blacktop so it was doable.
We saw bears almost everyday, including a bear with 3 cubs.
The cabin was not too far from the attractions, which was nice.
I would stay there again!
Place is great. 2nd time I have stayed there.
Enjoy watching the bears. Remember to keep all doors locked, the know how to open them.
We are definitely going back.
Overall good . Loved the fireplace. Bed comfy. Location great. Cook wear could have been cleaner. Our 37 yr old down syndrome child needs a bathtub and it was very dirty.

Amazing
Our stay and experience were along the lines of surreal and sensory overload, with amazing views for a much-needed family weekend getaway. We had the privilege to see the family of black bears passing through and, the next day observed their afternoon siesta. They were amazing to watch from our balcony. Our family will remember this place and the memories we had here for a lifetime. The view of the Gatlinburg skyline was the icing on the cake.
Great stay with great family and friends. House was everything we expected and needed. We have rented everything from floating houses, houseboats to chalets and I will say this kitchen was a little small for many cooks but was outfitted with dinnerware, glasses, pots and pans the BEST ever!!

Beautiful location.
The cabin was more than accommodating. Full kitchen with all the necessities. Beds were very comfortable. Scenery was stunning. Plenty of bear activity. We had many encounters with the bears. Make sure that you lock your cars and don't leave any food behind. Kate, our host, was beyond wonderful and always accessible. We loved our stay and we would definitely rebook in the future.
This property was exactly as advertised. Zero problems, great view and amnities The pool table was great to have as well as the dual jacuzzi’s.
Two things to point out: 1) if you want to venture into the national park, the location is perfect. If you want to spend time in Pigeon Forge, you will have to go through some traffic to get there. 2) the property is pretty far up the mountain, makes for awesome views, but curvy roads (some driveways in the area are very tight, not this one, plenty of room).
House was clean. We saw 6 bears over our 5 day stay including one trying to get into the back of our SUV - with people in the driveway - as we loaded to head home. Reminder to be aware of your surroundings. Home was as advertised. Recommend.
Wonderful location for a family vacation. Host is very attentive to needs. Lodge is very cozy and feels like home. Views are spectacular. Easy location to every where including hiking. Only think I would change is I wish people would not thrown trash in the woods. This appears to be a gatlinburg problem with all rental properties. We picked up around the cabin. If you are reading this, please do your part.

Very glad you enjoyed your vacation! Thank you for the feedback. The trash in the woods is definitely a problem in Gatlinburg but it’s not our visitors it’s the natives.... the BEARS! They are constantly stealing trash bags and relocating to safer area to enjoy their spoils making a mess in a very hard place for people to get to and clean up! The bears are smart and strong so keeping the trash from them is a challenge. They can open car doors and those heavy steel cages easily, that’s why we keep them locked. We love the bears and try our best not to feed them. Thank you for help getting this message out.
My sisters, sister-in-laws, daughter and niece all stayed at this great cabin. All were very pleased with the accommodations. There was parking for our 4 vehicles. The main floor deck was great for gathering and enjoying the beautiful view and the bears that visited below. It is relatively close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The mountain roads are interesting. Very nice kitchen set up. There was hot water for all our many showers:). The refrigerator is roomy and the ice maker was great! The pool table got used for the cabin was clean ad fun times. We didn't try out the hot tubs. The cabin was exactly what we needed for our visit to the park and surrounding towns.

By the pictures this property looks fitting for 4 families of two, however, when arriving to the house every room in the house was smaller than advertised. There was what appears to be mold/water damage in on of the downstairs rooms. I was charged my security deposit, they sent it back, and then tried to withdraw it again for no reason. We left the place exactly how we found it. Parking was a nightmare there are numerous houses around you and if you all drive SUVs it makes it extremely hard to not be in the way. Not worth the money that was paid.

We are sorry the lodge did not live up to expectations. We have been managing our own properties now for over 8 years and this is the second time we have received a 2 star review. Having said that, the pictures are accurate to the property. The parking there is larger than 80% of the cabins up on that mountain. Your security deposit is released after the cabin is clean and found to have no damage. The CC processor will reauthorize your CC after the original hold expires. The $500 will be release within a couple of days of check out or you can contact us and we can manually release it. As far as the so called mold in the downstairs bedrooms, the carpet in both downstairs bedrooms has been replaced two months ago and the bedrooms went through a deep clean. Normally guests who experience issues when checking in will contact us and we do everything in our power to rectify the situation. We did not hear one word you you the entire stay. As I stated I am sorry for your expectations not being met. This property has 5 private bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in those bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps 5 couples. We do work hard to create the best stays for our guests.
