It has been a joy to be an owner of Cape Ann since 2002 and offer it as a Vacation Rental. Co-owners live in the area and are easily available. For personal assistance, please call us direct or Click the blue "Email Owner" button with questions as well as make reservation and pay. Calendar is up to date. Please visit our Facebook link below for more info.

The cape is an area I love and it is a pleasure to offer Cape Ann for your vacation. There are no crowds, mega-resorts, glitzy nightlife, but - breathing room and easy access to water and wildlife. Hiking trails in the state park and a 9 mile paved bike path are nearby. A general store rents bikes and kayaks in addition to selling food, drinks and ice.

Cape Ann sits low in the landscape blending with the surrounding environment. It is within the gated community known as Secluded Dunes, adjacent to the 2,500 acre St. Joseph Peninsula State Park - which offers 10 miles of undeveloped coast and 35 foot high sand dunes (our skyscrapers). Secluded Dunes borders the state park designated wilderness preserve where a variety of animals and birds share the space.

Much of the charm of Cape Ann is - not too fancy, too upscale, too perfect - just presenting a calm, comfortable, 'welcome to the beach' essence.

The west side of the property opens to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico displaying the wide beach of snow white sand and sparkling emerald water. Giant loggerhead turtles annually select the cape for nesting. Most days you will see dolphins playing off shore and pelicans, sandpipers, and sea gulls sharing the neighborhood. At twilight this is the perfect spot to marvel at the sun dropping silently in the gulf. Following sunset, an amazing stargazing opportunity awaits. Many nights shrimp boats may be seen working off shore.

The gulf side of Cape Ann features a spacious screened porch. A covered porch runs across the front with a piney woods view. This is my favorite spot for that first cup of coffee. Deer enjoy munching on the lush vegetation which includes beach scrub, live oaks and sabal palms.

Cape Ann is a great choice for families who value serenity and natural beauty. It is convenient (ALL ON ONE LEVEL) and inviting with simplicity and ease.

This winter (2016) Cape Ann has fresh paint - inside and outside, new flat screen TV's, new light fixtures among other things. When the time is right for a quiet retreat with the sand, sea and sky, you have found the place!

Cape Ann is SMOKEFREE, NO PETS ALLOWED and has an Age Restriction. No reservations accepted for vacationing students or singles under age 25 unless accompanied by adult, legal guardian or parent during entire stay. Chaperoned groups not accepted. Restrictions apply regarding number of people a parent or legal guardian may accompany.

About Joyce Miller

Owners are sisters who had rented vacation homes in the area several years. It was always fun getting together at a beach house.

Joyce Miller purchased this house in 2002

Why Joyce Miller chose Florida Main North West

The Secluded Dunes section of cape offers what we love - privacy, seclusion, natural beauty and quiet space. The name Cape Ann is in memory of our mom and happy times with her at the cape.

What makes this house unique

This home was designed with comfort in mind. One flight of stairs up from the carport and then everything is on one level. Bedrooms are separated nicely for privacy. Two bedrooms have own bath, two other bedrooms share Jack and Jill style bath. Kitchen is quite large with pantry storage. There is a pleasing piney woods view from window above sink.

Screened gulf side porch has beautiful view of beach and gorgeous sand dune with wind-swept vegetation.

As close to heaven in this lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I spent a week at Cape Ann and I cannot express in words how beautiful that spot is. Early morning and at dusk were my favorite times of the day. The light is very soft and the colors of the sky, the ocean and the beach slowly meld together until all is dark and still. We had beautiful weather and it warmed up enough towards the end of the week so we got to swim. The water was crystal clear. St. Joe's Pennisula State Park is just down the road and they rent kayaks which was fun.

The local people were so very friendly and helpful. The area is non commercial which attracted us.

This house is wonderful. So comfortable and very, very clean! All the rooms on the gulf side of the house have large sliding glass doors which open onto a screened porch and a breathtaking view of the water and the dunes.

This beach is a nesting area for sea turtles so they ask that you don't leave chairs and tents on the beach at night and also that you close your drapes at night so the lights don't interfere with their natural process. Unfortunately not everyone abided by the request and that was disappointing. I would rather have seen a beach at daybreak that did not have chairs and tents set up. But overall there is a feeling there of how beaches are supposed to be. A little wild and undisturbed.

Joyce and Martha were as nice and helpful as could be. They provide towels and sheets which really lightens the packing. Other beach houses I've stayed in have felt cold, as though they are just a structure on the ocean. This is not just a house, it is a home and that is obvious from the minute you walk in the door. The house is painted in soft quiet tones. Before we had even finished our week, we had booked two weeks for next year.

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

Cape Ann is the perfect beach front home. We stayed for a week and had a great vacation. The home is immaculate and has everything that you could need for your stay. The owners are friendly and very particular about their unique beach home, which means everything will be perfect! The views of the beach and Gulf, from the screened in front porch, are amazing! Beautiful sunsets in the afternoon. The placement of the home nestled in the dunes gives it a natural and secluded feeling. The beach is very private and the sand is so white and squeaky clean. Just a short walk down the beach and you are at the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, which is a beautiful natural area with large sand dunes. We brought our fishing boat and the state park has a very nice boat launch. This puts you into the St. Joseph Bay, an absolutely gorgeous bay for fishing or kayaking. While out on the water, we saw lots of dolphins, sea turtles, sting rays and horseshoe crabs. We caught spanish mackerel, and flounder. This is the most perfect area for fishing off the beach or in your boat. There are nice bicycle trails throughout the island as well. During your stay be sure to go to the Indian Pass Raw Bar located at the corner of Highway 30 and Indian Pass Rd. If you like fresh local oysters and shrimp this is the place to experience! Get there early, because it is very popular! Apalachicola is a really cute historic town with lots of restaurants and shops to explore if you need a break from the beach. Port Saint Joe and Mexico Beach are also worth checking out. I would highly recommend the "Shipwreck Raw Bar" at St Joe Beach. Cape Ann is a one of a kind home and would be perfect for a family vacation, romantic getaway or couples sharing the home. You won't be disappointed staying here and our family hopes to visit again very soon.

Comfortable home in one of the most peaceful beaches we've found.

  • 5 of 5

Cape Ann immediately feels like home. The home is well appointed and family friendly. The location is phenomenal and incredibly serene. Beautiful white sand and clear water on what might as well be a private beach. It must be busier in the summer, but there really aren't enough homes/condos in the area for it to ever get truly busy. We had a great week and plan to return. This area is blessed with much natural beauty and nature lovers will run out of time before exploring a small part of the opportunities.

Unbelievable Views

  • 5 of 5

This is an awesome property. We stayed for a week and it was our second visit. We had such a great relaxing time that we went ahead and made reservations for two weeks next summer. This is a very comfortable home with all of the amenities. The beach is perfect for long walks and the sunsets are beautiful. Having the State Park just down the beach is a plus. The owners of St. Ann are great to work with as well. We couldn't have asked for a better place to get away and relax.

Beautiful Beach Home With One Gorgeous Setting!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Cape Anne. Words cannot describe the lovely beach home with a fabulous view of the Gulf in Cape San Blas, Florida. It has a huge screened in porch that spans the entire width of the house, which overlooks one amazing sunset after another --- needless to say, our family is truly hooked on Cape Anne. It is perfect for a romantic get-away, immediate family vacation or hanging out with a few friends. In fact, we rarely want to leave the house because we enjoy the setting, the sounds of the ocean, and the lack of people on the beach. In fact, the home is located in a gate restricted area to ensure that you have your privacy and seclusion. Like most people, my husband and I lead highly hectic lives during the year, so book Cape Anne to rejuvenate our souls, our health, our marriage, while building memories that sustain us throughout the coming year. It truly is a one of a kind vacation which I highly recommend. You will have a fabulous time at Cpe Anne!
