Very nice house located right near Custer downtown and in a convienent walking location to the bars and shops. It was a great stay and we drove to all nearby towns easily from this location. Also very close to Custer State Park - we did the wildlife loop multiple times and a few hikes. Overall a great stay !!!

Great stay

The house was cute and modern on the inside. The host was cordial and prompt. My only advice is that a larger hot water heater is needed, as we had to stage showers with our group of 8 between morning and evening due to running out of hot water.

Respuesta de VrboOwner el 4 de ago de 2026
Thank you, and thank you for the specific feedback. Staging showers isn't the vacation anyone signed up for, and you're right that a larger group puts real strain on the water heater. That's on our list. Glad the rest of the stay landed well, and I appreciate you flagging it.

Great location in Custer

Ruby Suites is a great house in the heart of Custer. We visited in the off season, so Custer was quiet, but the house had plenty of room for our family of 5, which included 3 teenage boys to spread out and relax after a day of hiking and/or sight seeing. Adam is easy to communicate with the and house is at it looks in the pictures. Would definitely stay again.

Hi there, I'm Adam. I had the good fortune to grow up in Custer. I moved away to attend college in Minnesota, but I still have friends in the area and will forever be returning to the magic of the Black Hills. My sister lives nearby, too.

Currently, my wife Minha, our 6-year-old son, and I live on the West Coast, but we always look forward to returning to the Hills whenever we can. We love exploring new cultures, meeting interesting people, trying new foods, and making sure everyone has a good time along the way!"

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

My wife and I purchased this property in Custer because of its solid build quality and prime location. We’re fortunate to also own another vacation rental just a few blocks away, Cozy Custer Cottage. Hosting guests and helping them explore the Black Hills has been such a rewarding experience for us! We take great pride in hearing about the memorable adventures our guests have and are committed to making sure everyone has a 5-star stay.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This property was fully renovated in 2024 and it's in a fantastic location! You’ll be within walking distance of everything—restaurants, breweries, historic downtown Custer, candy shops, gift stores, ATV rentals, and more. Plus, it’s the perfect base for exploring the top attractions of the Black Hills, including Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument, Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake, Mount Rushmore, and more!
