This Suite is a great value for what you get and the Owner is very attentive to your needs to make your stay a good experience. A plus is watching peacocks dine in the front yard and the neighborhood is very upscale. Don't hesitate to book.

Great host and location

Mike is a wonderful host. He was friendly and quickly responded if we had a question. We were close to everything Tampa: Ybor, ZooTampa, Florida Aquarium and Bush Gardens. Museums and the waterfront were also a short drive away.

Had a great time staying in the Tampa area for a long needed vacation with my wife and pup! We adventure a lot together. We found this great Studio on the Hillsborough river in a quite Tampa neighborhood with wild Peacock’s!!! A very chill Florida vibe! Mike was a great host and was very accommodating. Just driving on smooth roads compared to our pothole riddled state of Michigan was a dream! Ha! Will definitely consider coming back!

Great location, easy access, fantastic owner - this is the place!

Loved my time here. I spent two and half months in this studio, Jan-mid March. The location is easy access off 275 and minutes to grocery or several restaurants. The owner/landlord, Mike Lamont is a great guy and so accommodating to everything you may need. I asked to borrow an extension cord, he came with 3. He frequently checked in on me to make sure I had what I needed. The studio is fully stocked with dishes, towels, soaps, cookware, literally everything you may need except a stove. Even that is solved with either the provided hot plate or the BBQ Grill immediatly outstide the door that even has the side burner. Loved my stay, I will be back!

Perfect for us and our dog!

Great location, everything you need included. Owner was wonderful about recommending resturants, grocery, attractions, etc...We were there for 10 days and our dog loved having the yard to play! While in Tampa, we have found our place!

I am a Florida Certified Residential Contractor. I live on this property.. I am a avid boater and love living here on the Hillsborough River. I am active in running . I am pretty laid back and enjoy people I get to meet from many different places. I have lived in Tampa my entire life.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this historical home with the rest of the property being vacant and developed it into a 8 home subdivision with a private street. All homes are on the River. The feel here is like country very quiet with wildlife, but minutes from the hustle and bustle. 5 minutes from downtown Tampa, Raymond James Stadium, and all the shopping areas. 30 minutes to world famous beaches.

What makes this property unique

This home was originally built in 1942 and the owner was in the shipping business like in large ships. He brought his ship decor ideas and incorporated it into the home, especially the studio. Feels like something out of the South Pacific. I purchased part of the property in the early eighties and built 3 homes and later in 2002 purchased the home and the remainder of the property and built the rest of the homes. added the studio and moved in the main house. This is the best kept secret in Tampa. Large properties, quiet, safe country feel and a few minutes from everything.
