About this property

Peaceful Ocean View. Ground Floor. Classy, clean and quiet.

This is a newly renovated 1 bedroom condo on the ground floor in the 'C' building at Wavecrest Resort. It has been renovated with attention to detail including soothing colors, "black-out" curtains, crown molding throughout, beautifully tiled "step-in" shower, all new appliances and cabinets. It boasts a King size Simmons mattress and a Queen size pull-out couch bed. The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything necessary for home cooking. Beach amenities include backpack chairs, soft cooler, snorkel gear, beach towels and boogie board. There are also tennis rackets for your use. This condo features it's own High-speed internet and unlimited channels on TV, so you do not miss any sporting events. That being said, we encourage you to seek out and experience the wonderful spirit of Molokai.

Being on the ground floor allows you to walk right off your covered lanai to the pool or take your coffee to sit on the ocean's edge to watch the beautiful sunrise over Maui. Of course do not forget to repeat in the evening, for the incredible sunsets.

We feel our condo is a reflection of the beautiful Wavecrest grounds and the tranquility of Molokai itself.
Wavecrest has an oceanfront pool, well maintained tennis courts and a cabana area with bbq's for your outdoor cooking pleasure. No need to "picnic" at the cabana when you can just walk across the lush lawn right to your lanai, without any stairs to climb.

If you have not experienced Molokai, then you have not experienced "true Hawaiian culture". The entire island exudes a "small town" feel. When shopping at one of the two local markets, don't be surprised if you get caught up in a "story" with a local resident. When they ask, "How are you today?", they truly expect an answer. Because we enjoy the fresh baked goods at the bakery, we have been invited to Hula festivals, Easter egg decorating and so many other community events.
Do not be surprised if you find yourself on a beach with nobody day. That is just the way Molokai is. No need to worry about your beach towel touching someone else's.

Location of condo was good but condition of condo not great. Needs to be decluttered and thoroughly cleaned. No air conditioning and weather was warm so uncomfortable in condo. Ceiling fans helped but not adequate. Because of heat needed to leave all windows open and rooster at farm directly behind condo woke us up up every Single day about 3 am. Also stairs directly behind bedroom to other floors of condos, whenever anyone went up or down the stairs they woke us up. We had come to Molokai to relax and rejuvenate and left exhausted from lack of sleep

The room is clean, quite complete with dishes, kitchen appliances and everything for relaxation. But there are yellow cockroaches. If there was a good beach and deep, clean water and not a muddy bottom, it would be a great place to relax. And it's just a beautiful view. The pool would complement the beach. But this is the problem of this island. There is no rental of bicycles, boats and the like. We are grateful to the owner, but I would like to have more information to make a decision about rest in this area. Yes, and one more thing: a neighbor from above (the owner or worker or vacationer was noisy and even knocked after 10 pm and from 6 am.

Solid place to stay on Molokai

My daughter and I were very comfortable in this unit. It had snorkeling gear, beach chairs & towels, a cooler and cold packs - everything we needed for outings. The mountains behind it are dramatic, the seashore and sunsets are pretty. Yes, Wavecrest is a bit of a drive from town but after seeing the west shore, it was a far superior location. The owners were quick to respond to our questions.

Beautiful Ground / Lovely Apartment

This apartment is perfect. It is on the ground floor, it is spacious, very well stocked with condiments and it is very well maintained. The apartment is very clean and updated, the bed is comfortable and the place is very clean. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The pool area has a covered gazebo with comfortable chairs, books to borrow and a BBQ area. There is a smoking area, but I didn't see anyone smoking while we were there. The place is situated quite a way out of town, so make sure you stock up on groceries before you leave Kaunakakai. And make sure you do a road trip away from town towards Halawa, it is on a par with the Road to Hana.

My little staycation was the best having 101 time with my other half enjoying the manae breeze!

Renting this property where do I start! The owners of the condo was so good to me they were always there when I needed to ask a question! They cater to what we wanted the room was beautiful! The WiFi was excellent overall everything was so perfect ! I would do it all over again if I could. Thanks to amazing owners of the place the room and the bathroom was Beyond beautiful !! Although I live not to far from wavecrest it still felt as if I was on a mini vacation I could relax and just enjoy the beautiful Manae!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit. It was quite clean and comfortable. While we didn't use the equipment, we were impressed to find snorkel gear, a boogie board, and even tennis rackets. Our owner reached out to us during our visit to make sure all was okay. Scott was great to work with and I know that had anything problematic arisen, he would have taken care of it. It was our fourth visit to Wavecrest and second in C-115. We would recommend this unit to anyone wishing to stay there. Great view from the living room and lanai. Wish we were still there. Dreaming of our next visit already.

Wavecrest is the best

Great condo in the best complex in Molokai. Wavecrest is beautifully maintained, with breath taking views of three islands. It's on the "tropical" side of the island, our favorite! The condo owners anticipated our needs, providing thoughtfull touches like wine, coffee, a backpack, etc. You will have a great vaca!

A very pleasant stay in a very laid back location. A very fair deal for the price. Our only issue was not getting an email with the details of the stay (condo # and check in info). We have retired to where we both grew up, a very small town in Northern California. We occupy our time with a "small-batch" coffee roasting company that allows us to meet people from all parts of the country. Our property provides the ability to raise a small herd of Red Angus cattle, dogs, cats and two horses.

Why they chose this property

We had traveled to the other Hawaiian Islands and "heard" about Molokai on a snorkel/whale watching trip off Maui. After our first trip to Molokai in 2015, we knew we would be buying a condo/house/property here. We have completely fallen in love with the island, the people and the history. It is similar to our own piece of paradise in Northern California, except it is tropical and on the ocean. But it is quiet, easy going and slow Mo'lokai.

What makes this property unique

After staying in other condos in other buildings and floors we decided we preferred the ground floor, not just for our 88 year old parents or our grandkids, but also for us. The simplicity of walking out your lanai to the pool or the ocean's front to watch the sunrise and sunset greatly appealed to us.
We chose the 'C' building because it is NOT right on the ocean's front. It is much more peaceful and relaxing, yet you can still see and hear the ocean.
