Cherry Creek Retreat en Montana es una parcela de 7 acres ubicada sobre uno de los puntos más altos de East Lake Shore de Flathead. La propiedad Bigfork está cerca del Parque Glacier y está rodeada por la belleza de Flathead Valley por todos lados. Detrás hay altas montañas boscosas. En frente se encuentra el lago Flathead con una excelente pesca. A cada lado están temblando los álamos tembloses. En el medio hay cerezos y manzanos, un antiguo granero rojo, 3 estanques de truchas y el hermoso Cherry Creek. A minutos de distancia se encuentra Flathead Lake con acceso en bote al Parque Estatal Yellow Bay, Woods Bay y Bigfork. Alquiler de botes y kayak y pesca con mosca guiada están disponibles. La casa de 3 pisos hecha a mano con poste y viga de inicio tiene espectaculares vistas desde todas las habitaciones. Tres cubiertas fluyen desde grandes habitaciones con puertas francesas. Our party of 6 adults spent a week at this gorgeous location. The house was immaculate and we loved the fully equipped kitchen. We loved having so much space. The lake views from the decks were beautiful. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the main floor deck. The house was the perfect location as a homebase for all of our excursions. We visited Glacier National Park, Wild Horse Island, CSKT Bison Range, Whitefish Mountain Resort, St Ignatius, Kootenai Falls etc... We thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home Unfortunately we were too early for cherry picking season. I guess we will have to plan another trip...

Another great visit.

This was the 2nd time we've stayed here. We'd return every summer if we could. Awesome place with a large, relatively private property, great lake view and public hiking directly behind the property.

Great property and location. Excellent communication with owner and staff. Fantastic views of Flat Head Lake. We had fresh fruit to eat and cherries on the trees. Went fishing and caught 8 lake trout. Big Fork is a quaint little town with lots to visit. Highly recommend.

Perfect cabin in the mountains

Charming, cozy cabin at a great location about 10 minutes from downtown Bigfork. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding area from the three balconies. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the boys liked fishing in the small trout pond! Loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Flathead Lake.

Cozy cabin, great for family

Spacious but cozy with plenty of space for our family to be together. Great location for outings on Flathead Lake, hiking in Jewel Basin, and access to Glacier NP. Penny & Letty were wonderful communicators.

Wonderful retreat

Loved our stay, particularly the sunsets, the backyard open space and fire pit. Really appreciate having the extras from previous guests like olive oil, etc. Makes you feel right at home out of the gates.

Loved this place

I highly recommend staying here. The house was very clean, had lots of room and was stocked with everything we needed. The property was beautiful; we loved feeding the fish in the pond. The view over the lake was amazing. The property owners were so accomodating and kind.

We are Jim and Penny and we love northwest Montana! This property has been a cherished place for our family for 40+ years. It really is amazing and renewing. In the 1980s our visits here were to see Grandpa and the cousins. We would stay in one of the small cabins at the place and our children loved it! Later we became owners and in 2005 built our dream retirement home. We called it Cherry Creek Retreat because of the beautiful stream that originates and runs through the land and cherry trees. Cherry Creek Retreat has continued to be a special place for our family and friends to gather and even to have weddings and reunions. In 2006 we started renting out our home to vacation renters. In 2025 we began renting out the original house on the property year round to our wonderful property manager. We are fortunate to have great neighbors who help out when needed and also enjoy our many conversations with renters. We are happy to say they have found the place to be amazing too!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Grandpa Jim was raised nearby and had a dream to find the perfect property on the Flathead Lake before he retired in the 1970s. He knew the land well and what he wanted. It was to be a place with it's own natural spring, a view of the lake, good for growing cherries and putting in fish ponds, bordered by forest, close to town but with the feel of being in nature. He found this place and it is indeed special! We fell in love with it ourselves years ago, and the feeling only grew as time went on. Now we know others feel the same. Since we've built the Log House and let the property be used as a vacation rental, we hear from so many, "This place is heaven on earth!"

Ever changing growth of nature and food! We have cherry, apple, pear, peach and plum trees. We have raspberries, blackberries, boysenberries, blueberries and honeyberries. There are trout stocked ponds. Some years we plant a vegetable garden. You may pick and eat from all that is there. Kids love to play here. Families love to gather in spots all over the property and talk or play games. We're not in town, but close enough to get there easily. The scenery is spectacular! The log home is very nice. There is also a small overflow cabin available.
