Great view and chill environment. Nice place to get away from it all!

  • 3 of 5

Overall good experience, spent a week there with four immediate family members (2 adults, 2 teens) and a revolving cast of extended family members. Plenty of bedroom space although the only bedroom with a good sound view was the master bedroom.

I will say the house is a bit more dated than it looks in the photos. Not bad but definitely in need of some refreshing. The beach area is not really usable as a food prep or serving area but the fire pit is nice if you buy some wood and there are some serviceable chairs there.

Wifi router is at one end of the house and the range does not extend well to the master suite at the opposite end -- be careful and watch your wifi strength or you'll end up with data charges up the wazoo like I did. They really need a wifi extender.

Towels and washcloths were a bit threadbare, no kleenex or bar soap, so stock up in Marysville before arrival if you're planning to root down immediately.

Fascinating elevator on the property -- see if you can figure it out.

All in all a nice week spent in a beautiful location. No regrets, would recommend the property overall.

Peaceful view, great for multi-family group

  • 4 of 5

This house was perfect for our needs. We had three families with a total of 9 people and were looking for a family retreat. The rooms had enough bed configurations to meet a variety of different groups. The view of Puget Sound and Camano Island was wonderful. When the tides go out, you can walk on the beach (rocky, not a sand beach) and scarcely see anyone. Since the beach is covered with water half the day, it's teeming with water creatures when the tide goes out. The house and kitchen was well equipped. Access is gated with 24 homes either in full or part time use. There were neighbors on both sides, but it was still a peaceful experience. There was a fire pit by the water that was great for making s'mores.

Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in April 2017. We had four adults and two children in our group from Minnesota, and had a ton of space for everyone. The view was spectacular and the outdoor space was great. The walk down to the beach was not a problem for us at all (ages ranged from 13 to 48). I actually looked forward to the mini work out a few times a day! We were even lucky enough to see whales swim by when we were having a fire one night!

The house was fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we all loved the great table to sit and play cards at night. The new carpet throughout was really nice. My only recommendation is that the bedroom with the patio door needs a blind or curtain because you can see straight into the kitchen :-

If we visited again, we definitely would stay here again. Thank you Frank for sharing this little piece of paradise.

Gorgeous Views

  • 4 of 5

LOVE the views this house offers! The upstairs was great and very well put together. The walk down to the beach is a little steep and slippery this time of year but to be expected. Only 4 stars because of the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom. They need a lot of updating and love. Otherwise, great space, great view, great location!

Cannot beat the view

  • 4 of 5

The view from the decks is absolutely phenomenal. The inside decor is very appropriate and cute for a beach-side home. We had seven adults and two children in our group and could have easily accommodated four more people. The kitchen was well stocked with basic essentials for cooking; completely appropriate for a vacation rental. The hot tub was working just fine. The walk down to the beach is a bit steep, but easily manageable for the average adult (and my 2 year old niece and 4 year old nephew). The beach has lots of barnacles, but that's Washington for you. We enjoyed a nice swim out the buoy! There's a kitchen and firepit right down on the water. You could easily spend your whole vacation at the house and never leave. There is not much to do nearby which was fine with me. My in-laws took some leisurely walks nearby that they thoroughly enjoyed. There is a huge cupboard full of games in the living room that kept the little ones entertained all day. We stayed here for our wedding which was about 25 minutes away in Arlington. We ended up doing our grocery shopping there too at the Safeway. Frank, the property owner, was very communicative and friendly. There is a great binder in the house that has all the information you need about the property and clean-up before check-out, which I always appreciate.

The only problem we had was there was obviously some sort of leak going on in the house. The carpets in two of the bedrooms were extremely damp and smelled like mildew. My brother-in-law had left some pants on the floor and by the next morning they were absolutely soaked. I contacted Frank and he suggested that maybe this was due to a recent carpet cleaning, but it really didn't seem like that was the case. There was also some water leaking from under one of the bathroom sinks. Hopefully they can resolve this issue because it really was a gorgeous setting and an extremely pleasant stay otherwise.
