L'intérieur de cette belle cabine a des tonnes de lumière et toutes les nouvelles finitions et appareils ménagers. Grande douche à l'italienne avec eau chaude à haute capacité à la demande; deux chambres calmes avec de nouveaux lits queen confortables; grands espaces de vie ouverts confortables avec tous les nouveaux meubles. L'extérieur historique et les dépendances (y compris la salle de cire de ski et le sauna au feu de bois) ont été fidèlement restaurés. La maison est juste sur la route pavée en entrant dans Eldora depuis l’est. Parking privé, clôturé et adapté aux chiens. La propriété est située à seulement 1,5 km de la route d'accès au domaine skiable.

Great location for Eldora and Hessie Trail

We loved the location and the house was great — exactly what we were hoping for!! Heavy snow presented some challenges, but that comes with the territory up there. We managed and enjoyed our stay!

Updated house/some important issues

Very nice inside, clean & equipped for cooking & baking (brought my own mixer) Sunny & comfortable. Quite a few issues with fireplace, we are seasoned wood burners, the drawing of smoke was very inconsistent causing alarm to go off & our belongings to smell of smoke. We followed burning instructions by placing logs to back of fireplace, made sure flue was open. Decided to act up while we had company causing our small granddaughters to go outside to breath. Disappointed as it was a selling point to rent. Place was good for accommodating handicapped person, bought our own shower bench, toilet riser & hand held shower hose. Outlets in bathroom would not reset for electrical use so dryed/styled hair in kitchen. Owner (Cam), who is very attentive, patient and kind told us to try outlet by tv, problematic for us with no result. Beds are mentioned as new, extremely firm, not our liking but managed. I would totally recommend this nice place to others if the issues mentioned are not of concern to you. Cam is a nice owner & willing to please! Also note: only one extra roll of toilet paper, low on paper towel & only one pot holder making it difficult to remove hot oven items. Hoping this note helps accommodate others!

Marcia - sorry you guys had trouble with the fireplace. We've had people staying, as well as ourselves, since 2016 without anyone else getting smoked out. It was pretty windy while you were there! I wish I had known the GFI still did not reset for you - will replace it. And, I have no idea where the other potholder got to!

A True Gem!

Just had the best week at Cam’s place in Eldora. - Great location with easy access to Nederland, and hiking at the Hessie and Fourth of July trail heads as well as Boulder and thewhole peak to peak highway. - The property itself exceeded any expectation. The main living area is incredibly spacious and comfortable. There’s a modern kitchen and bath, and a sweet front porch for having coffee and the golden morning light! - The whole place has lots of windows, and good heat/temperature control. Plus, the beds are amazingly comfortable and the internet fast and reliable! - I appreciated being able to have my dog with me, and the small fenced in area was super helpful (especially as there’s plenty of wildlife nearby – – including moose and elk!) - The owner was responsive and helpful. Bottom line? What a gem! I truly can’t say enough good things about it, and already looking forward to visiting again.

We will be back!

I stayed at Cams place with my wife and dog and we could not have had a better experience. Cam has thought of everything and was very responsive if we had any questions. The home is perfectly setup for guests and dogs, we had more than we needed. The pictures do not do this place justice. Everything was clean and ready for us to use. We loved hiking on the nearby trail, driving into Nederland, easy access to Eldora ski resort, and ending the day with the private sauna. We cannot wait to come back and stay here again!

Perfect space for our family!

We are so glad we chose this property. It was SO comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed and more. The open living space with the fireplace was exactly what we were looking for our family of four for Thanksgiving. We brought our two dogs along and it was a perfect setup for them as well. We took advantage of the hiking trails nearby which were snowpacked but totally hikeable and beautiful! We did not get a chance to ski this time but would love to return in the winter. Cam was also super helpful and a even dropped off a local hiking map for us to use. We wish we could stay longer!

Fall Getaway

Just fantastic. Easy access to hikes and town. In this COVID time we live in, this place was just what our family needed. Virtual learning and outdoor fun. Doggos loved it too. Did a couple of runs up to the Hessie trail. Great on weekdays. The sauna and fireplace made for nice evenings. The front porch and a pot of coffee every morning. Safe travels into Nederland for some brews and ice cream. Just perfect.

A getaway on the doorstep of Indian Peaks Wilderness!

What did we like about staying here? Here is a list of our strongest impressions: -Upon entering the cabin, we were very impressed with the beautiful interior, including a number of pieces of very lovely artwork. -The view from the window by the sofa was very beautiful and relaxing. -This house is very close to the Hessie and Fourth of July Trailheads, where you will find some of the most magnificent hiking in the country. -It was fun to watch chipmunks and magpies cavorting around the little stone wall between the house and the road. -The dining area doubled as a very pleasant workspace for processing our hiking photos. -Absolutely everything worked perfectly, including appliances, internet, etc. -Having an extra bedroom where we could stage our hiking gear was very convenient. -It was also very convenient to be able to keep up with our laundry during the stay without sending it out somewhere. -We would be happy to stay here again when we plan our next Indian Peaks Wilderness adventure!

FENCED YARD NOT DIRECTLY ACCESSIBLE FROM HOUSE

Cam was great to work with! Renovation was very tasteful. It would have been the perfect property for us had it not been for the fact that YOU MUST LEASH OR CARRY YOUR PETS TO GET THEM TO THE FENCED AREA OF THE YARD. The fenced area cannot be accessed directly from the house.

Awesome find!

This is a great property and the pictures don't do it justice! My son is in Ski School at Eldora and we were looking for a place to try out to save getting up at O dark thirty. This small cottage is completely redone on the inside and provides a combination of a rustic feel but with a clean newness to it. It was appointed like a fancy mountain lodge. Cam was a great host and very responsive. House was fully stocked with kitchenware and the basics. And unlike other properties where the dishes, glasses are a hodgepodge of non-matching hand me downs, everything was coordinated as if someone was living here full time. Beds were awesome (they are very firm but we like that). House was immaculate. Internet and streaming TV worked flawlessly. Keep in mind no cell service here but WIFI calling worked perfectly. Great property in a great location!

Relaxing and a wonderful place to stay!!! I’m a neat freak and the house was immaculate!!!

The house was clean, well stocked, and conveniently located to Nederland. Beautiful views and you could hear the stream across the road. Cam was very quick to respond to a couple of questions we had. Comfortable beds and great shower. Would definitely recommend the cabin and would have no reservations about going back. The remodeling they did was wonderful and made you feel at home. Tx for letting us stay and our pups had a great time too!!🐾🐾🐾🐾

PERFECT getaway!

We stayed at Cam and Jess's place for a weekend with our two 6 year olds and WOW - we thoroughly enjoyed EVERY SECOND. Cam was extremely responsive if we had any questions and the property is a little slice of mountain hideaway heaven. It is close to great hiking, Nederland, Boulder and Eldora (if you're going for winter activities). We felt so safe and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! The cabin was extremely clean and updated so nicely. We honestly would love to come here at least a couple times a year. Hoping to come back in the fall as there are so many beautiful aspens around and I kept imagining them gold! Thank you Cam and Jess for offering us such a beautiful place to run away to from the city. We love it!!

We loved staying in this property. We went to the area to a meditation retreat and this cabin provided all we needed: comfort, cleanliness, ability to cook a little breakfast, and beautiful quiet surroundings.

Great property the only down side was no AC and windows had no screens so we were afraid to leave windows open to cool house off and let all the bugs in

Family Mini Vacation

We were looking for a place in the mountains to enjoy a weekend get-a-way for our daughter’s birthday. She lives in CO and us in Illinois. We could not have found a lovelier place than this wonderfully restored cabin on the outskirts of Nederland. We enjoyed everything this house and town has to offer. The home has everything you need to feel at home. Highly recommend!

Beautiful open home with great views only minutes from Eldora and Nederland.

We stayed at Cam's place during the Frozen Dead Guy Days festival in Nederland, and what a great home base it was. Cam provided us with all of the necessary information for our stay, including plenty of "to-do" suggestions for the area (great for those who aren't from here). The home was clean, beautiful (with a large fire place), and incredibly spacious and open with large windows wrapping around the building. The fenced in area is great for dogs. I would not hesitate to stay here again, during the winter or the summer!

Jessica and Cam live on a farm north of Boulder, Colorado, and come to Eldora as often as possible to ski, hike, ride mountain bikes, enjoy some great craft beer and fun events in Nederland.
We have been roaming about this area since 1980 and have a lot of local knowledge to share with you. We love not having to drive back down the canyon after skiing, and we enjoy the small town feel, the ability to park right in front of whatever restaurant you want to go to in Nederland and just walk in. The Indian Peak trails, Continental Divide, backcountry skiing and biking are all easily accessible. We will be coming to Eldora for a long time.

Location - plain and simple. Right on the paved road, just about the closest house to the ski area. Okay, it was a fixer-upper. But we loved doing it and the result is really beautiful and comfortable.

Proximity to the ski area - less than 3 miles. Privacy in winter especially. All new finishes, furniture, appliances - it's a brand new house really. The ski wax room helps a lot. Ample off-street parking. Dog-friendly with a well-fenced backyard and warm dog room.
