About this property
Center Point, Tx Charming country home in the heart of the Hill Country
Come relax at The Roost, a private home in a small town named Center Point, Texas. Thirty minutes from Fredericksburg, where you can immerse yourself in the Texas wine culture and enjoy beautiful scenery, shopping, live music and local artisans. Reminiscent of the wine growing regions of Italy and California, Highway 290 is riddled with Texas wineries where you can enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Texas hill country and local wine and culture.
A short 10 minute drive will take you to Comfort, where historic architecture and restored turn of the century homes line the quiet streets along with antique shops, boutique shopping, restaurants and coffee shops. Antique shops galore provide a glimpse to the past as does this quaint little town rich in history from original German settlers.
A 10 minute drive to Kerrville will take you to the Guadalupe river where you can kayak, canoe, swim or just relax by the water. Shopping, restaurants, and Starbucks are all here for those that need a city fix - you can even have Starbucks. The James Avery Visitor Center and flagship store are a must see if you are a fan. And hunters can find anything they might need here as well, including a steak and a beer after a long day of hunting.
If an escape from all things is what you are looking for, the home is situated in the country on a quiet, peaceful property where you can enjoy the gentle breeze from the hills while relaxing on the front porch while waiting for the deer to make their morning and evening rounds. Build a fire inside or out and enjoy the sites and sounds of the hills without the noise of traffic or neighbors.
The house is WI-FI capable for the kids and cable TV and DVDs, books and music are available for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked if you choose to stay in and cook and you can find any ingredient you could possibly need at the flagship HEB in Kerrville. There are plenty of local swimming holes and creeks to explore in the area and we will be glad to share our favorites with you.

Great house. Spacious and comfortable, with great kitchen big enough to cook large meals and gather the whole group while your cooking. Great front porch. Well located for a Hill Country family get-away.
Two couples wanting a nice quiet spot to ride the Hill Country for a month.
The house had everything we needed. Location was perfect for what we wanted. An ideal spot just out of town was peaceful and quiet. The hosts were great. Always quick to answer a question, offered excellent suggestions, and never intruded. I hope to make it back for another stay.
My husband and his college buddies had a great time and really enjoyed this setting in the hill country! Mary is very helpful with dining suggestions and any other questions. Would recommend!
The location is perfect as a hub for day trips around the Hill Country. The house is used by family for visits with the host; so it is more than well stocked with anything you might want or need. It is also great for just relaxing and enjoying the quiet. My son and I spent all night once on the very inviting front porch talking about everything under the son. Was a great time.
Best Friends, 3 senior couples couples, Best Valentines Day for each of us.
We arrived after dark so we did not see the full property until morning. That night everything was perfect. We all felt like we were at home with all new suroundings that just felt like home. The next morning the property was so relaxing we did not want to leave. A great place to spend a week if you have time.
The home is so comfortable. We were given a bottle of wine by the owner, It was our first time to drink wine theres just something about sitting on that porch that makes you see how wonderful the country life is. Thanks yall for being awesome!
Enjoyable time with mom and my sisters

Check out instructions are on my VRBO page, and we don't give our codes out until u are thirty minutes away from the property.
So sorry u were inconvenienced.
Fairly large house, price good for 3 bed 2 bath. Nice patio with good bird and deer watching.Good location with something to do in every direction. Owners were nice and met us at first to go over things. One thing I didn't care for was the clothes and other personal items in closets and such, but not that big of deal I guess. Whatever you needed you could find there.
Really enjoyed our stay! It was easy to find, the home had anything you could possible want, and the hostess was sweet enough to bring us a bottle of wine to introduce herself. We loved that it was pet friendly for our fur babies. We enjoyed the stay all around.
We are in the Kerrville/Comfort area quite often as we have a hunting lease nearby. We have always rented one of two other houses in the area but neither were available this past weekend. I can honestly say this house will be our #1 from now on!! Not only was the house very clean, great location, peaceful, and comfortable, but Mary was super easy to work with and there was not another thing we could have wanted or needed. Most of the time we still end up eating out a lot because of the minimal amount of supplies/dishes/cookware available. This house had everything we could possibly need other than the food itself. We cooked 3 large meals and enjoyed every bit of it! I could sit on the porch for days drinking my coffee and soaking in the peacefulness whether hot or cold outside. I could go on and on with great details but then I don't want it to be rented too often so it's available for us when we want...LOL. Check it out, I promise you won't be disappointed!
My family and I were looking for a long weekend somewhere in the country away from the city noise. The home was clean, comfortable and directions made it easy to find. Mary the owner was there to welcome us and made us feel right at home. We had a wonderful time visiting surrounding towns & Wineries!
Homey, clean country rental property. Mary, the host welcomed us on our arrival & give us instructions on how to lock & unlocked the door. We have one bottle of wine free to drink. All you need for a get a away is there. All you need is to just bring yourself. Over all, it's a nice one day stay.
The Roost was a quiet and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. The rustic curb appeal led to a well kept country house. The open kitchen and living area made the place feel large, yet cozy. We enjoyed the large front porch where we could drink a cup of coffee while watching the birds, deer, and other wildlife. It is centrally located to all of the hill country hot spots such a Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Boerne, and Bandera. Would stay here again and recommend to all my friends.
