Ground floor Makani A Kai unit A-3 offers a charming beachfront experience, perfect for your Maui vacation. Imagine stepping off your lanai and onto the white sands of a beautiful beach. A corner unit, A-3 boasts extra-large windows, offering stunning and expansive views of the ocean.

Watch boats coming in and out of the harbor, surfers riding the waves, paddlers, and even whales in the winter. It truly is magnificent! Inside the unit, the master bedroom features a king-sized bed and an upgraded bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds, and the living area even has a sleeper sofa, so it can comfortably sleep up to six people. Cooking is made easy in the clean and well-equipped kitchen, and a BBQ station is perfect for grilling steak from cattle born and grazed on the slopes of Haleakala, all while enjoying the amazing oceanfront ambiance. Lounge chairs are lined up at the edge of the lawn facing the ocean, perfect for some lazy downtime with a good book or for taking a nap. And with AC in the living room, a TV with complimentary cable and internet, and free WIFI, you're sure to have everything you need to stay comfortable and connected during your stay. Laundry facilities are on-site, and complimentary parking is provided for one vehicle per unit.

The eastern side of the property abuts Haycraft County Beach Park, a popular spot with local families and surfers. The calm and quiet 2.5-mile stretch of sand known as Sugar Beach begins here, with no buildings until you reach N. Kihei, just uninterrupted ocean views. A 10-minute walk lands you at the village of Ma’alaea, which offers great shopping, restaurants, and the Maui Ocean Center. The harbor is also located here, where you can take boats for a variety of ocean adventures. The central location of this resort is excellent, with easy commute times of just 15 – 40 minutes to attractions on the west, south, and north sides of the island.

Wonderful Condo

This property was perfect for us. We loved staying here and the central location of it. It is right on the beach where turtles hung out every evening. The only thing we wished it had was a cooler for our daily excursions.

Fantastic Maui Location for a Family

This priority is fantastic! You are right in between the east and west mountains of Maui and with a walkout right to a great beach. The facilities were in good order and great if you want to save a few dollars making meals and eating in. We will be back! Thank you!!

Prime Location

This was a perfect location. Loved walking the beach everyday and watching whales right from the lanai. The property was very well taken care of and it was convenient to get around everywhere. As one of the residents told us it is like Maui was 30 years ago… not an overly commercialized area. We had a few issues with the condo but management was very responsive.

Perfect location!!

Best part about the property was the location. You are just a few steps from the beach from the balcony. Quiet long beach that is great for walking. Condo is a little outdated as pictures so but it was clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing location. It worked perfect for my family and kids aged 3, 6 and 8 to go back and forth between the beach and condo.

Beautiful convenient location

Very comfortable. Furnishings are comfortable but dated. Very well equipped! Everything we could have wanted was there. Beach is beautiful and is close to other beaches. Only thing I would ask is cleaners to deep scrub master shower. There is mildew.

Perfect location

We loved the vintage vibes and the access was amazing! Construction issues were not really a problem, however the manager was a bit rude when we mistakenly parked in his spot- he actually raised his voice at me. Otherwise a great place!

Little has changed in that unit since I began staying there from the crazy light switches to the bedspreads to the green carpet and the glass coffee table where we continue to bump our legs. While these things seem like criticisms we embrace the quirkiness and will return for another wonderful stay in A3.

The unit A3 is right in front of the beach. I have stayed in this unit many times over the years and while I love it I have noticed that it needs some updating and sprucing up. The carpet on the patio was torn , there was a hole in the screen, the kitchen lacked enough mugs, pans,a cheese grater etc. My family and I dreamed about owning the unit and how we could make it better. It definitely has good bones. All in all it is still my favorite vacation spot.

CUTE BEACH FRONT WALKOUT

All in all we did enjoy the property, it's the perfect size for a party of 4. Some of the most beautiful sunrises on the island. The walk out makes it easy to get to the beach. Unit is right next to the BBQ pit and pool. The HOA property manager is really nice. The unit is dated in some ways (remember this is HAWAII) but the master shower is wonderful :) The property is an older community, so if you like to listen to your music while you are getting ready, even at a reasonable sound level (without cuss words) the neighbor upstairs does complain. We were getting ready to leave the first morning we were there and the gentleman upstairs made it a point to tell all of us separately as he seen us leave the unit (continuously repeating himself) about how we need to read the rule book, music is not prohibited, just because you like to listen to it doesn't mean I do. We apologized multiple times and finally politely told him to have a great day as he would not stop complaining. Then the gentleman proceeded to complain to the office even after we said sorry, wont happen again and more. (which it did not happen again) We got back to unit late that night to a note on the door from HOA property management. The Rule book is 3 + pages long.

Makani a Kai A3

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hi. Our unit (A3) was just OK this time. This was our 5th Korean 6th time renting it. Nice new fridge this year and a new dining area ceiling fan installed while we were there...very nice. One negative was spots on the carpet, which we cleaned. There is also a spot on the deck carpet and the rubber edge on the deck I’d delaminating now. Other kind of ongoing issues the last 2 times we’ve rented this unit are the deck chairs are a bit shabby, and the silverware and kitchen utensils are a jumbled collection. We have purchased silverware and other kitchen items in the past to augment what is there, but the unit still needs a new can opener. We still had a great time though. Thanks for reading this. A3 is now beginning to look a little tired. Rosemary and the management team are superb, they were of assistance a couple of times. Owing to a misunderstanding, the door combination was changed while we were out for supper on our second-to-last night, and we had also problems with the lock box. We look forward to our next visit.

We had our morning coffee on the small lanai while listening to the waves and watching whales breach in the bay. The bedrooms and closets are good-sized and the beds, sheets and towels are comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen and good wifi. We have already made our reservations to come back next year.

Bien ocupas carro

La comunicación es muy mala con el rentero necesitas preguntar la clave porque no la envían … no esperes que contesten rápido así que pregunta con tiempo … necesitas un carro porque todo está lejos hay una tienda cerca pero tiene muy pocas cosas y caras la comida que venden está rica pero si el caminar para allá es largo como 1 km … pero no venden muchas cosas si estarás varios días .. el check out es a las 10 am con 3 niños tienes que correr para salir en tiempo y el check in 4 pm .La casa en general está bien aunque un poco ruidosa con los vecinos de arriba.. todo se escucha .. la lavandería está afuera … usas una app .. estuvo complicado pero al final se pudo utilizar ..

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location & views, with just steps to the beach. The unit is very dated, but bathrooms have been recently upgraded. Couch is uncomfortable, green carpet & lots of mirrors. Kitchen is minimally equipped, needs more silverware. Gas grills either didn't light or barely came on. I told the onsite manager about them, and she just brushed me off. Property management company was very slow in responding to voice mails, when I needed to extend my stay. However, they did respond to emails faster.
