Madeline Island Cottage con vistas Apostle Islands

Un lugar privado y tranquilo con vistas al Parque Nacional de las Islas Apóstol. Relajante escapada para dos o un montón de espacio para una reunión de dieciséis años.

Nuestra casa de diseño arquitectónico tiene una sensación del viejo mundo. We have a long history of spending Labor Day weekend on the Island and have stayed at many of the notable VRBO’s here . This is an outstanding property and my personal favorite . My husband and I spent a total of 8 wonderful nights here with our 3 adult children , their spouses , and 4 of my 5 grandchildren ages 2-9 .We utilized all of the sleeping spaces with the exception of the reading nook. The weather was perfect !As a lover of fine architecture (and also of fine cooking ),I commend Dale Mulfinger and the Brunker family for creating this masterpiece !The cabin is superbly and brilliantly designed and perfectly furnished.It was like it was penned from the beginning of the design in its formulative stage to feel like an historic and treasured family cabin “born “before it was even built with a patina of “warmth”,“love “,and “home “. We enjoyed beach time and picnics on 3 other islands in our boat , games , reading and puzzle time in the wonderful “Away Room”,great meals in the lovely kitchen , and dance parties with the grand kids on the covered porch ,fires in the beautiful and superbly engineered Rumsford fireplace.Sadly prior to coming here , at 73years young,I had had an accident which resulted in a broken foot so I never made it down the path to the dock .But everyone else did and enjoyed swimming and dock time there! Beautiful memories !What a warm , lovely , and magical space !Thank you for sharing it with my family !- The Schnell family from Duluth -

Wonderful property

We had 8 of us staying at this spacious property. It was very comfortable and tons of amenities. We loved the screened in porch and spent relaxing afternoons on the dock. I’d recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway on Madeline Island.

Great house! Plenty of room. Clean. Well kept up. Wonderful wrap around porch. Kitchen is fully stocked (if you like to cook).Great dock. Our group has stayed at the home a number of times or the years and have loved it each time. Our group 70's-80's year olds are starting to age out of being able to make the hike to the water and dock. Highly recommend this property. Theresa the owner responds quickly should you have any questions.

Glorious Lake Superior!

The property was beautiful and appointed well for extended family needs.Theresa was very reachable when needed!Being right on the lake was a highlight. The dock and sandy beach was lovely.

A Wonderful Family Gathering

This house was a dream cabin that gave 14 family members space to spread out and room to gather all together around one table. We were a group of four generations ages 5-85. The cabin has such a cozy esthetic and is spacious and comfortable with incredible views of the Apostle Islands and sunsets.

Peaceful, roomy and private

We were 4 families and totaled 15. Everyone commented on the bedrooms, toilets showers were the best to accommodate our size group!The grounds are beautiful and the access to lake and dock is great!
Many private spaces to rest and relax.
Sunsets from the screen porch are beautiful.

Our Favorite Place To Stay

This was our third time staying. We go almost every year and have stayed at many phenomenal homes on the island, but this is far and away our favorite. The home is incredibly well thought-out for groups and very comfortable. The porch, the dock, the sunsets...it's just magical.

A wonderful family vacation

This is our second time staying at this amazing home, and everything was great. Our first night there, we viewed the Northern Lights. We woke all 5 grandkids (ages 3-14) and all sat on the dock and watched in awe. What a way to start the week! This property has everything we needed to enjoy our time together. Madeline Island Family Fun

Fabulous place for our family to gather to enjoy each other and the gorgeous area. Our group ranged in age from 5 to 85. We had as many as 14 people there at once, although all were not able to stay the whole week. The kids loved the basement playroom and the great pier on the lake, as did the adults. So many wonderfully appointed bedrooms, lots of getaway spots, spacious dining table. And then the wraparound screened porch and the unbelievable kitchen! This is a truly special house!!!

Amazing Property!

We had a fabulous time at this spectacular house on Madeline Island! it is absolutely beautiful, has lots of space, great access to a dock on Lake Superior, stunning views and a wonderful well-stocked kitchen. It is so charming and cozy and has enough space for our group. Communication with the host is very easy. We just loved staying there!

Wonderful stay!

Rendezvous House was relaxing, well-stocked, comfortable, had lovely decor, a great view, and fun dock and beach. Plenty of space for 16 of us to move around without being on top of each other. The nine kids enjoyed the ping pong table and climbing wall. And very comfortable beds! We loved sitting on the screened in porch to look at the lake and enjoy the sunsets. Not far from the state park or town.

Simply the best

This proved to be just the family time and place we were looking for. Slow days, incredible sunsets, swimming at the Town park beach, fishing, preparing food together and relishing the conversation. The house was perfect. Incredibly well stocked, and the house itself so well thought out for sleeping, eating, reading ( the library, for kids and adults, was on point!) and relaxing was just so wonderful. The screened porch alone was worthy of so much time spent looking over the Lake and the other islands. Our thanks to Theresa and her family and caretaker for creating and sharing an almost magical place on the island.

Family vacation

Magical in the winter

We have been to Madeline Island several times now, and this was our second time to go during the winter. We love it there in the winter because things are calm and quiet and beautiful with snow blanketing the trees. On my morning runs down the snowy lane, I scarcely saw any other person. It was just the peaceful retreat we were looking for. The home is cozy, clean and quiet, set far enough back off the road that you really feel like you are all alone in this winter wonderland. There was plenty of firewood at the house so that we could keep a roaring fire going. This was great for family game nights as well as cooking s’mores in the evening. There was plenty of space for our family of 10 to spread out and plenty of activities in the house to keep them occupied. My youngest kids really loved the rock climbing wall in the basement. Ironically, although we can never get them to practice at home, they also really enjoyed playing the piano in the basement. There were lots of books to read and lots of board games to play. The kitchen was well stocked, and we really did not lack anything we needed. As far as other activities, we rented snowshoes and went hiking in big bay State Park. We also left the island to go ski at the local ski hill which was very inexpensive and a lot of fun, although it was not terribly fancy. We had a wonderful time, the hosts were very responsive, and we would definitely go back again.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Lake Superior has a coastal, maritime feel drawing sailors and kayakers to the Apostle Island archipelago. Bayfield is a quaint harbor town and Madeline Island is its slightly rebellious cousin. As we drive from the hectic city, to the rural Wisconsin roads and finally aboard the ferry and across the channel to Madeline Island, all cares have vanished!
