We ALWAYS love two bears ❤️
We have stayed at two bears and two bears two for the last 5 years and always have a great time! Highly recommended :)
Great chalet in private area
This property is great. Its location at the end of a cul de sac makes it feel remote and private, while still convenient to the mountain. The owner clearly cares about the experience of his renters, and the overall condition of the property reflects this. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that the water pressure on the first day was nonexistent due to what turned out to be a malfunctioning toilet, and the oven/stove the morning of our departure did not work (had worked fine the prior 2 days). The owner was very responsive to the first issue; the second arose just prior to our departure but I'm sure would've been dealt with in a timely fashion.
Beautiful scenic retreat
We had the most amazing time in this cute rustic chalet. The Views out the window are breath taking (especially with fresh snow covered pines). The house was clean and warm with everything you need to start relaxing the moment you arrive. Thank you to everyone involved in the Two Bears Lodge.
My husband and a group of our friends spent a long weekend here. House was perfect. Very private, slept 8 people (more than) comfortably, had pretty much everything you needed cooking wise, and was only about a half hour from Sunday River. Owner is very nice and easy to communicate with. Would give more stars if I could, can't wait to stay again!
We loved our castle on the hill
Thank you for sharing your incredible home with us and allowing our family a weekend of special memories we will treasure forever. Our four grown children and significant others joined us to celebrate a belated Christmas. We had looked forward to skiing, skating, walking in the snow, and a sleigh ride provided by a local barn. Mother Nature played a cruel trick on us, providing a weekend that began with exceptionally warm weather and heavy rain along with a fog that engulfed the house and cut us off from the rest of the world. While this could have proven disappointing our incredible accommodations provided us a place of refuge, relaxation, and enjoyment. We played games, reminisced, sat by the fire and even found time for a few Wii game challenges. The well equipped kitchen allowed us the ability to indulge in several leisurely meals. When the rain stopped we prepared to venture into town, only to find a flash freeze had occurred and our "castle on the hill" now had a moat of ice. A call to Rich and within minutes- and I'm not exaggerating here- a sand truck arrived and we were soon able to venture into town for a fun afternoon of shopping and exploring. I must also mention that throughout the entire trip Rich was attentive and helpful and never made us feel as if we were inconveniencing him with any question that arose, no matter how small or trivial. After our stroll through the lovely town of Bethel, we attended mass at Our Lady of the Snows where you can believe we prayed for snow. I must say that everywhere we went the members of the Bethel community made us feel welcome and at home. While our prays for some of the white stuff were not immediately answered we were pleased to find there were still a few trails left open at Black Mountain for us to enjoy and we had an amazing day skiing on one of the nicest mountains in Maine where we were greeted by staff that literally made us feel like family. It was a great experience. Our trip to Two Bears Lodge is one we will long remember and we hope to be able to return soon. Thank you Rich.
Great winter getaway
We stayed at the lodge with the family (6 adults and 5 kids) for 2 nights and we all loved it! House is spacious and clean, the view from the front windows is great! Very relaxing atmosphere, we all enjoyed the hot tub as well. Thank you and we hope to come back again next year!
