About the property

2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4-6

Hi everyone, my name is Tim Miller. My brother and I purchased in Cancun back in 2004. We love it here! We used to have property in Coco Beach but when we found Cancun we sold everything and bought here to stay. There is no place on earth like Cancun. The beauty of the Caribbean waters is unmatched worldwide, the beaches are pristine, and the wonderful people of the area is the real difference maker. The locals are so happy and so humble, and so thankful to have your business and be of service to you and your family. Over time, my family came to know many wonderful people here in Cancun. If you have never been to Cancun, you will absolutely love it here!

Penthouse #2000- 2BR-2.5BTH - Approx 2,000 sq ft including terraces

Penthouse #2000 sits on the top of the main tower of the resort all by itself. When you step off the private elevator you have the living room, dining room, kitchen, master, master bath and larger of the two pools on this main level. Then downstairs you have another private bedroom with private bathroom. Upstairs you have the big upper deck with smaller of the 2 private pools, 1/2 bath, serving area, plenty of space, 2 person tub, and outstanding panoramic views.

Resort: Yalmakan

Penthouse #2000 Location: Beachfront-9th, 10th & 11th floor

Resort Location: In the famed Cancun Hotel Zone: Kilometer 19.5 Blvd Kukulkan

Resort Quick Synopsis: Yalmakan is located directly on the beach.

Resort Features: Flexible All Inclusive Option - Pay only for the day(s) you want it - decide as your vacation unfolds.

What makes us a more attractive choice than our competition?

1. When you arrive at the resort you are welcomed by my management staff. Two full time managers take care of only a few units to ensure your service is top notch. You will be assigned one of the two. Either Francis or Abdiel will be there to welcome you, show you around and answer any questions you may have. And how blessed we are to have Francis and Abdiel. You will truly enjoy having their smiling faces there to be of service for you.

2. Francis and Abdiel are not just greeters. They are there for you should you need something. Simply email or call them and they will be there promptly, they are normally already right there at the resort.

3. Our resort has on site maintenance of course. But that is not good enough for us. We have our own full time maintenance man to be there quickly should anything malfunction. I used to hire companies to come out if something like one of the AC's malfunctioned. Not anymore, we have our own on site full time staff.

4. Would you like a an authentic Mexican home cooked meal? How does only $50 for your entire groups sound?... plus the raw cost of the food? That's right, we provide this service with no mark up at all! Enjoy! The service includes clean up after. Why go out to some expensive fancy place when you can dine and be serviced while enjoying the best views in Cancun right there in the penthouse?! anywhere.

5. Would you like a night out away from the children for some adult conversation? We have baby sitting-services that come right to the condo, and they are wonderful people, part of our extended family in Cancun.

6. Want a tip on a great snorkeling experience? A good friend of mine offers his service privately for your group. The private tour goes all day, includes lunch on an island, is totally private to your group, and comes with the best "skipper" anywhere. Going out with Mike is truly an experience. Cost is $65 per person, if less than 6 people minimum price for all is $390.

7. Our resort has a staffed front desk, 24 hour on site security, bell hops, and friendly staff.

8. Advice: Why pay $80 to get into the 2 biggest night clubs in Cancun when I can show you how to get your cover paid, all drinks paid, and VIP service for the same price? This is just one example of several tips that will save you a lot of money.

9. Resort Features: Flexible All Inclusive Option - Pay only for the day(s) you want it - decide as your vacation unfolds.

Other thoughts 1: If you are traveling with small children, you will find a packnplay (play-pen & sleeper), a high chair & a quality stroller on hand. Or, if you would like to enjoy your favorite drinks down by the pool or beach we welcome you to use the special cooler you will find in any of our units. It is on wheels, super easy to take with you and is also very handy as a pool or beach side table. The convenience might only be out shined by the savings on drinks! This item has been pre-approved for use by the resort, when you are staying at one of our vacation rentals.

Other thoughts 2: If you need extra beds, I have found air beds to be most comfortable. We have queen size air beds and linens for same available upon request.

About Tim Miller with Resortcondoscancun

Hi, I'm Tim Miller. My brother and I bought here back in 2004. We live in the states, i'm in the Chicago suburbs. Over the years I feel blessed to have come to know many wonderful people in Cancun. Abdiel is one example, he is my manager for penthouse #2000. Terrific guy. I make mention of an option to have an authentic Mexican meal prepared right there in the condo for you. Many of our guests take advantage of the service, its only $50 for the entire group (not each) plus the cost of the food and no mark up on anything, Francis gives you a grocery receipt for the food. Clean up after is included, outstanding value. This is just one example of so many relative to how I feel we stand out from our competition. If you want to know people are there for you in Cancun, you have come to the right place.

Tim Miller with Resortcondoscancun purchased this condo in 2004

Why Tim Miller with Resortcondoscancun chose Cancun

My brother and I bought here back in 2004. We had previously had property in Cocoa Beach Florida, but when we found the majestic beauty of Cancun we never looked back. The Caribbean waters of Cancun are unmatched in their beauty world wide. The beaches are pristine with gentle slopes fading out into the water. Beyond all this is the beauty of the people. They are so friendly and humble, and want to serve the guests that they feel honored to have. Its a truly amazing area, we feel very blessed to have found Cancun and the terrific people we have come to know over the years.

When my brother and I were looking we noticed some things about the area.

The strip in Cancun is very busy, this part of the strip where we purchased is more laid back, we are 6 miles from the thumping of the big famous night clubs like Coco Bongos and Dadeos. So very close to get there, but far enough away for peace and quiet. There are a couple of restaurants right across the street, one is my "go to" place called 19.5. The owner's name is Joe, terrific guy. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. They have huge black angus burgers, burritos, a nice mix of American and Mexican food. They serve alcoholic drinks, its very casual and has an outstanding view over the bay, amazing sunsets there too. The other restaurant is called Navios, outstanding food, mid range on price, and open air with private palapas built over the water, just a wonderful ambiance there.

Then you have penthouse #2000 itself. The first time I ever walked off that private elevator my jaw dropped, literally. The views are out of this world, like no other I have ever seen in my life. A camera just can't capture it, the entire structure is floor to ceiling glass and you see so much at once you just can't explain it, beyond panoramic!

What makes this condo unique

Our resort was completely remodeled and it looks outstanding as you can see by the photos! We feel amazingly blessed. I'm confident you will enjoy #2000, Cancun, and the people of Cancun a great deal.

Best Penthouse in Cancun

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon at the penthouse #2000 and we can't say enough good things about this condo! I don't think you can find another place that has two private pools and views like the ones this condo has. Tim, the property owner, was always prompt with questions I had leading up to our stay and made the booking very easy. Once we arrived Tim's property manger Francis took control from there. She is a true asset to the condo. She is also a very good cook and we recommend having her cook for your party. We had drinks on the upper pool deck while a private meal was being prepared just for us! Navio's across the street is a perfect little restaurant and there are many really good restaurants within a short cab ride. This really is a perfect condo!!

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

This penthouse is amazing. The views were unbeliable the rooms were nice and the place was very clean. We travelled as a group of friends needing a vacation, it was the best we could ask for. Tim Millar was great to work with and responded very quickly with any queries I had before we left. The manager was helpful, but Mical (Mike) the fishing trip/snorkeling guide was phenomenal. He really was interested in us getting the best out of our trip and was very genuine, I would definately reccommend booking the snorkeling trip thru him, or the deep sea fishing.

Also I would recommend calling Francais the cook to come for at least one night. She brings the food to the penthouse and makes gormet mexican food, it is not expensive and really nice to have a private meal in the penthouse.

We purchased the all-inclusive in the hotel, the drinks and service were great, however we were a bit disappointed with the food. Still the all-inclusive was so cheap we made it thru ok, and still had a great time. The hotel itself was not as nice as some higher end hotels, but the penthouse makes up for, and we met so many great people mostly from the UK I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

As others have mentioned this is not a place for young children, the spiral staircase (which is awesome) is a little dangerous and I would be worried about a small child falling, other than that I would definately reccommend this penthouse.

November 2008

  • 4 of 5

It was my husband, grandmother, three year old & I. The hotel is located in the begining of the strip. Closer to the water park and Airport then the downtown clubs, shops and restaurants. This was ok for us because we renetd a car. If you want you can catch the bus. But remember the bus stops many times before you can get to where you want to go.The condo is beautiful and was clean! The internet works great! The cable is satillite which isnt very good when your in a penthouse. It never worked the whole time we were there. The pool was nice but since it was Nov. it was cold. Same goes for the large hot/cold tub up stairs. If the sun is not hot it will not get hot. There is a smaller jet tub next to it that works like a bath tub. Even though I brought a small child I would not recommend it. There is a widing metal stair case that goes up to the rooftop and down to the second bedroom. Watch the little ones around the open pools and rooftop. The master bedroom has great views all the way around. Hotel: It was nice having the luxuries of a private condo and the amenities of a full service hotel at a fraction of the cost. To be honest the hotel by itself would be on the lower end of the five star grading scale. You can buy all inclusive for the whole stay, by the day or even by the meal! This was nice and the food wasnt that bad either. They had live entertainment and fun things to do at night. They have a place by the pool where you can get massages for a decent price. Ask for Guiermo great deep tissue! the hair braiding cost is ridiculous wait till you go into town if you want that done! The beach was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Mike: Great guy! He is a big help and he really cares about you having the best possible time you can in Cancun. You are given a cell phone to use during your stay to call him any time you need something. He can also arrange a private day trip to Isla Mujeres. Snorkel, shop, eat, take pictures with a shark, hold tortugas and lay out on one of the best beaches! I could have spent two days there!!! We rented a car (dont use executive car rental horrible!) You can drive to Chichenitza, Xel-ha, & Xcaret. It is safe and so worth it! Xel-ha is an absoulte must! It is 1.5 hrs away. Try to buy the Xel-ha Xcaret two day package deal from the Xelha website its the best deal! Xelha is all inclusive. It's similar to Xelha but not as user friendly. Xcaret is 1.5 hrs away. Chichenitza is 3 hrs away but worth it!

Good Luck

  • 2 of 5

Property COULD have been really nice. . . . Penthouse was dirty, floors not swept, I don't think the tile had ever been mopped, counters dirty. We definately left it cleaner than we found it. There were A LOT of things that did not work. For starters, the air conditioning in the main part of the house didn't work. And forget the view because we had to keep the shades shut, just to help with the air situation. The jacuzzi didn't work the entire time that we were there. And good luck trying to get someone to take a look at the broken items. We NEVER saw Mike, the manager, the entire time that we were there. We were able to speak to him about the broken items, but he never offered to fix them or even take a look at them. Simply Never saw him, not even once. We even tried calling Tim, we left several messages for him, but he never returned any calls. Also, the property is FAR away from most eats and shopping. But, that does have an advantage, the beach was beautiful !! I highly recommend Capt. Cove and Cancun-Limo transfers. Also, don't take the time share tour offerd in the lobby (it save some money on tours). It takes 4 hours instead of the 1.5 they tell you. Please purchase this penthouse at your own risk. It could be REALLY nice. It's just dissapointing when you spend so much money and are not happy at the end. I've used cyber rentals before and have always been extremely satisfied.

Owner's Response: Kevin and Karie stayed with for a week in July, 2008. They arrived on July 2. I had left to visit my family out of state for the week. My manager, Mike, volunteers for a youth soccer league. That year, his kids were doing very well. Mike had asked about the possibility of going to Acapulco in the event his kids made the finals. When the kids had officially made the finals, I encouraged Mike to go. I asked only that he find a worthy replacement in his absence. Mike had never been on a plane before, let alone have his team go to the finals. Mike gave basic instructions to a friend of his and this turned out to be a mistake. He really did not know who to call in the event a tradesman might be needed. Meanwhile I had no cell phone signal where I was visiting in Kentucky. This made for a very frustrating experience for Kevin and Karie. Since this occurrence, the jacuzzi and the A/C were fixed of course. The A/C has also been upgraded since that time. All of the A/C units in each condo I manage at Beach Paradise are newer systems that run independent of the resort A/C system. When it comes to cleaning, this is a task of huge importance to me. My Mom was definitely among the biggest "clean freaks" I ever knew. And I'm thankful to this day for her teachings. She actually was the one who instructed our cleaning crews in Cancun on how clean properly and to establish expectations. After Mike returned I discussed this with him in detail. On subsequent trips to Cancun I always make a point to "pop in" on various units to make sure they are being done to the standards set forth by my late Mother . Lastly, it should be noted that Kevin was issued a $700 credit to his charge card for his trouble. Thank you for reading. Tim Miller

Beyond My Expectations!!

  • 5 of 5

The view was amazing. This was my 5th time in Cancun and I've stayed everywhere from the Royal Resorts to the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach master suite. I loved the privacy, and being able to swim without a crowd. The food was fine. We purchased the all-inclusive option. Breakfast was the best. The service was great, with possibly the exception of the people behind the front desk. The condo manager (Mike) was always willing to go above and beyond, and also exceeded our expectations. He is truly an asset to the property owner. Whatever you wanted or needed he was more than willing to help. The crowd in the hotel is somewhat younger. We are mid-fifties, and chose to hang out mostly in the condo. Why leave that gorgeous view? I can't wait to go back.I just returned home today.

Management Company Quick Synopsis:

Small niche company specializing in upscale Cancun beachfront vacation rentals. When you call with questions, you can expect the phone to be answered by me, Tim Miller, if you call between 9am-5pm central time, Monday through Saturday.

Contact Person Quick Synopsis: Hi, I'm Tim Miller. I own & operate a small niche management company specializing in nice vacation rentals on the beach in Cancun Mexico. I would say my knowledge base of Cancun & the hotel zone is very solid. I own vacation rental property in Cancun (this unit), I have worked in Cancun, and I take a strong personal interest in each & every unit I manage in Cancun. Almost every picture you see of any one of the rentals or at any one of the resorts was taken by myself personally. I believe that I offer some services & items that currently keep us a head of our competition. These things may appear small on the surface, but I would offer for your consideration the thought that excellence can often be found in the details. For example, if you are traveling with small children, you will find a packnplay (play-pen & sleeper), a high chair & a quality stroller on hand. Or, if you would like to enjoy your favorite drinks down by the pool or beach we welcome you to use the special cooler you will find in any of our units. It is on wheels, super easy to take with you and is also very handy as a pool or beach side table. The convenience might only be out-shined by the savings on drinks! This item has been pre-approved for use by the resort, when you are staying at one of our vacation rentals.

Lastly, it's important to know you are in good hands once you arrive to Cancun. Being a small company, I work with a small, tight knit group of terrific people in Cancun that are there for you, our guests. I can arrange for a trip to the Super Walmart grocery store early on in your stay if you like, which saves you money. (there are no grocery stores in the hotel zone-only convenience stores). The cost for this service is $50 & is paid directly to whomever takes you shopping. Everyone in our group in Cancun speaks terrific English and are among the nicest people I have ever known. If you have a need for babysitting services? If so, we can help. Would you like some real Mexican culture? I can arrange to send a professional chef to cook & clean up for you, & at very reasonable prices. Or, maybe you would like to go snorkeling or fishing. One of our managers in Cancun is a dear friend of mine. His family comes from many generations of fisherman. Now, he offers both snorkeling and fishing services. The tours are private. His boat holds up to 14, and is shaded. He can take you to special areas that the tour operators don't go. I have been out on Mike's boat several times & I highly recommend this experience. If you have 7 or more, the cost is $65 per person cash. The tour is about 5 or 6 hours and it includes lunch on a small island he takes you to.

CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS BOOKINGS: Christmas and New Years weeks are sold separately as full weeks. The dividing point is Dec 27. Christmas reservations have a departure date of Dec 27 or sooner. New Years weeks have an arrival date of Dec 27 or after. Once New Years or Christmas week books, this will determine exactly when the other week can be booked. But until one week books, the departure date for Christmas week is on or before Dec 27. And the arrival date for New Years week bookings is on or after Dec 27. Thank you.
