Why Pamela & Steve Sparough chose Breckenridge
After looking at properties for over three years, our unit at the Highlander came avaialable. We bought it because of the architecture, the quaintness of the sub division and what we find is the ideal location in Breckenridge i.e. walking distance to most everything. We love the location of the Highlander i.e. steps from the Snowflake trailhead & chairlift as well as amenities of the Blue Sky Lodge (health spa, ski rentals, storage) while also only 3 blocks from the center of Breckenridge. The Highlander is a diverse and global community with professionals from all walks of life and the world. We share a love of skiing, the mountains and zest for life. We love Breckenridge because of: ** its authentic and colorful history ** the well preserved Victorian architecture ** the abundant and diverse options for dining ** the art & photography galleries ** the 4-season choices for adult & child activities ** the plentiful snowfall ** the very friendly locals ** the fascinating people it attracts from around the world Each season in Breckenridge is special: ** During the ski season, there's 300' of snow, 5 holidays to celebrate as a family as well as Breck's Ulr Festival and the International Ice Sculpting Competition in January ** Mud-season beckons a walk with coffee to the nearby mountain streams, beaver ponds and private lake; We also look forward to the independent films of the Breckenridge Film Festival ** Summer features all the activities of a destination vacation including art festivals on the 4th and Labor Day weekends ** In the Autumn there's the spectacular fall colors, crisp mountain air at night and the anticipation of another ski season
What makes this Townhome unique
** Our home is not a rental unit but rather our home that we rent to guests that appreciate it like we do: ** With 2400 sq ft spread over 3 levels it has an open, spacious, mountain home feel but with privacy for sleeping ** We have new Colorado slate flooring with radiant heat throughout the main floor of the home ** It’s the most secluded of all the Highlander subdivision townhomes from the road (and bus noise) ** Its steps away from the Snowflake chair lift and local bus stop; the no fees bus can take you nearby Frisco, the outlet (discount) stores of Silverthorne, the nearby ski resorts (Copper, Keystone and A-Basin) and the Breckenridge grocery store ** The private deck & hot tub overlooks the St Francis rock garden, an adjacent open area with native plantings and the town of Breckenridge; at night, it also has a great view of the Milky Way…perfect with a glass of wine ** It's impeccably clean e.g. the heated garage floor was sealed in a light color, the 2 redwood decks & hot tub were recently re-stained ** Though a car is not necessary, the heated garage has room for putting on/taking off boots and storing skis

Fantastic 3 bedroom townhouse conveniently located close to the snowflake lift
Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Breckinridge this year. This 3 bedroom townhouse was extremely well equipped and meticulously maintained. It felt more like staying in family or friend's private home than a typical ski condo. We especially enjoyed using the brand new hot tub!
The unit is strategically located literally across the street from the Snowflake lift and Charter Sports (the ski rental shop). If you have a car you will appreciate the heated garage which can accommodate a full size SUV.
The best part of our rental experience was our interactions with Pamela, the owner. From the time we reserved the unit until we checked out she was extremely helpful and available! She called after we arrived to make sure everything was ok and to see if we had any questions.
Everything was great in the house which is finely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen as well as a spacious laundry room. The house is also very quiet at night which is great for sleeping. We also appreciated having humidifiers filled and ready to use in all of the bedrooms.
This is the nicest place we've stayed in on a ski vacation and we would definitely try to stay here again the next time we are fortunate enough to make it back to Breck.
Thanks again Pamela!
outstanding family ski trip!!
We had a fantastic trip to Breck! Steve and Pamela's townhome is beautiful - it is well appointed as the photos suggest and is deceptively large for those groups looking to spread out a bit. Many of the reviews here outline the amenities of the properly nicely and I would concur with all of them - the photos, map/location, and description of the properly are all spot on. When renting through VRBO, the wildcard is often the owners - and in this case, Pamela was incredibly welcoming and attentive to our visit. Not only did she do the "normal" things an owner would do (e.g. instructions, greeting us, responsive, etc.), but she moved mountains to replace a broken hot tub in just days to ensure we were able to thoroughly enjoy our visit - a true testament to an owner that wants to ensure you enjoy your visit. I'd absolutely recommend Steve and Pamela's townhome to anyone looking for a great place to stay with . We look forward to being able to come back sometime soon!!
My sons, brother (Atlanta), cousin (Dallas) and a friend (#7 adults) all take 1-2 ski trips per year. We all want a bed (no sleeper couch). We love hot tubs and don't like to drive when we arrive. We ski difficult in-bound terrain.
So we loved C. St. Francis. It was perfect place and a perfect mountain. Breck has a great mix of bowls, trees, steeps, moguls. The mountain is well laid out and big, but useable. Not many slopes are this solid, with high speed lifts everywhere. (Buy epic tickets in advance to avoid ticket price shock.)
The house was awesome. Essentially right at the lift, ticket window and rental shop. Very quick access to middle of the mountain. Also a short 1/3 mile walk into town. What a wonderful ski town.
The house has a 4 person hot tub that we used every night, warm floor, nice garage area to gear up, plenty of nice dishes, humidifier in each room (turned on for us in advance), a very friendly and attentive owner, beds for all of us, many kitchen tools (we don't cook much), cool decorations, stuff seemed new (nothing worn out).
In summary, great place, great mountain, beautiful town; all the things you dream that a ski trip should be.
Great location & condo!
Myself, husband, brother, and friend stayed in the Sparough's condo in late Feb '15. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The radiant heat is amazing - I'm enamored and must have it for my next home! The condo is roomy enough and all beds used were comfortable. The hot tub on the deck was perfect each evening before dinner. Being a couple minute walk to the Snowflake lift was uber-convenient and the guys in the Charter building were super helpful and friendly for the one person who had to rent. He was able to demo different skis each day which was nice. Storing our ski/board equipment in the heated garage was a great plus, and our Tahoe fit in there as well. I got a fantastic massage at the spa that's in that same building; they even have a steam sauna & shower you can use afterwards. The condo was quiet, comfortable, well-maintained, and exactly what we wanted. Not a fan of electric cooking and the appliances seem dated, but it's a rental and they all functioned properly. They also have a coffee maker, blender for our morning smoothies, and a good variety of pots and pans. Laundry on-site is a must for one attendee and the nice washer & dryer came in useful a couple times. This is a much-loved town house that definitely feels more like a home than a rental unit. It's clear the owners stay there frequently and keep it well-maintained. HIGHLY recommend this property!
Great ski weekend
I had the pleasure to rent this wonderfully located, adequately accommodating home for myself and 5 other friends for a guys ski weekend. The home is so welcoming as soon as you enter from the heated floors to the wonderful living room with a warm glowing fireplace and large cozy leather sofa. The living room and kitchen area can comfortably entertain half a dozen + people. The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed with a large brand new master bath with a spa tub and waterfall shower head in the shower. On the lower level there are an additional 2 bedrooms with full bathrooms in each room. A new modern front loading washer/dryer in the laundry room. Upstairs the garage also as heated floors which is nice when comming back and getting ready for the hills in. The hot tube on the back porch was easy to use and relaxing and soothing after a long day on the slopes. The location is right across from the snowflake chair which is direct access to the whole mountain. The house is in walking distance from town which is also a plus for the night out. I would highly recommend this rental. My go to breckenridge rental, next time I will rent during the summer and check out the hiking and biking.

Wonderful Breckenridge Home
I can't say enough about our fantastic trip to Breckenridge. We couldn't have chosen a better place than Steve and Pamela's beautiful condo. Not only is the condo extremely convenient to both town and the ski slopes, but its warm, cozy and perfect for a relaxing vacation. We rented fantastic equipment at the suggestion of Steve at charter sports, right at the base of the snowflake lift. It's about a 2 min walk from the house to the rentals/slopes/ticket office. This made it a breeze to ski-in and ski-out each day. You can tell how much Steve loves his home and genuinely cares that those who stay there have a wonderful time. He greeted us upon arrival and checked-in throughout our stay to make sure everything was as advertised. The fireplaces and hot tub are perfect after a long day of skiing. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful, convenient, comfortable place to stay for their ski vacation. We look forward to being able to come back sometime soon!!
