About this property

Black Bear Ridge- Hot Tub | Outdoor Firepit and Fireplace | Screened Porch

Nestled among majestic pines with its soaring prow roof pointing toward the sky and spectacular mountain view, the North Georgia mountain cabin rental Black Bear Ridge makes a beautiful first impression. This spacious log-sided showplace, situated on 1.78 private acres in the gated community that gives it its name, is the height of rustic luxury, with all the comforts and amenities to make your vacation sublime.

As impressive as it is from the outside, Black Bear Ridge is just as striking when you enter the main living area, with its soaring ceiling and wall of windows overlooking the mountains. Leather sofas and Amish rockers beckon you to settle in front of the stacked stone fireplace (one of four in the cabin) to watch TV and relax. The adjacent kitchen, with its granite countertops, and black electric appliances, is well stocked with conveniences including an electric skillet, roaster oven, blender, coffeemaker, icemaker and crockpot. There's seating for 10 in the dining area, and four more at the breakfast bar.

If you're in the mood for a little competitive fun, head downstairs to the game room to play foosball, shuffleboard, or board games while you watch the 86" Smart TV. Or step onto the screened-in porch, where you'll find a stone gas fireplace, ample seating, and a gas grill on the adjacent deck. On the lower deck, enjoy a soak in the six-seat hot tub; then warm yourself by the fireplace as you take in the mountain view. There are also rocking chairs and a picnic table. A separate fire pit with seating is steps away.

The four inviting bedrooms are handsomely and quite appropriately decorated in a black bear and pine tree theme, each with ceiling fan, unique wood bed and colorful quilt. The upstairs master suite has a king bed, stone fireplace, sitting area, 40” flat screen TV, private balcony, and a bath with double vanity, free standing tub and walk-in shower for two with 2 rain shower heads. The two bedrooms on the main level, one with a queen and one with a king bed, each with a bath with shower, and the downstairs master has a king bed and bath with a walk-in shower. There are twin murphy beds in the game room and a crib available for the smallest guests.

Located near Ellijay, Black Bear Ridge is convenient to many activities, from apple picking in nearby orchards, vineyards and winery tours to hiking, fishing, and geocaching at Amicalola Falls State Park to a round of golf at Whitepath Golf Club. You can swim, bike, and rent a boat at Fort Mountain State Park, go canoeing, kayaking, and tubing on the Cartecay, Ellijay, Coosawattee rivers, or try ziplining, tobogganing at Jasper Cherokee Valley Ranch, followed by a hayride. Explore the numerous wineries within a ten-minute drive.

Offering the ultimate in relaxation in an incomparable setting and lots of fun adventures just a short drive away, Black Bear Ridge is truly the best of both worlds, and promises a vacation you won't soon forget.

Gorgeous comfortable home
We were in town for my daughter’s wedding. This house was perfect for our family. The decor was beautiful and the views were to die for. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We didn’t use the fire pit but would have been perfect if we would have had time.

Very nice but needs a few upgrades
Beautiful place and it was very spacious so we didn’t feel like we were on top of one another. There were six of us staying at the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we would ever need for cooking large meals. For some reason, there were several flies in the cabin and I felt like I was killing flies the entire time. It’s the dead of winter so I’m not sure where they were coming from. We felt like they were coming from the garbage disposal. The WiFi is dreadful and I’m not sure if it should even be listed as an amenity. We tried to watch Netflix on the smart TV and we stopped trying after 1 hour of loading time. I think it’s understatement to say that it was extremely slow and a disappointment especially with teenagers in the cabin. It took one of my teenagers over two hours to download a movie on his phone and this was even after I reset it. The ping pong table needs upgrading. The legs are bent up and the table is warped pretty badly where it doesn’t lie flat and has a large space where the two sides meet and the balls fall through it. There was also an issue with one of GCFI outlets in the kitchen because it kept shutting off when we used the electric can opener and I had to reset it. There was nothing else plugged into that outlet so it probably needs to be investigated by an electrician. As I said before, the property was beautiful and the cabin was very nice and well stocked. I would’ve given it a five star rating if the WiFi were better so we could’ve watched some Netflix movies at night. I must say that I didn’t feel these were important enough issues to call our rental company to correct them at that time but I feel they are important for them to know so they can hopefully be addressed before another family stays in the cabin.
