Two Side-by-Side River Houses -6 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, 400' Waterfront Privacy
The Twins River Lodges provide a unique experience unlike any other, it's like "Glamping in Style!" The decks extend beyond the water’s edge and let you see straight into the river from the porch. The fish feeder keeps things exciting 3 times per day and there are always some hungry fish looking out for a missed morsel.
The view of the river is amazing from both houses and each of the three gazebos. One gazebo has a large bar area and enough room for your whole party. The far gazebo provides the perfect hiding spot to get away and read the paper or gather around the outdoor fireplace with a few friends.
They are called the Twins for a reason, they are essentially the same house, but next to each other in your own private compound. This is a 4-acre retreat with over 400 feet of river frontage on the Coosawattee River. Both houses are located in Ellijay, GA inside the Coosawattee River Resort, a 5500-acre gated community.
Each house offers two Master bedrooms with King beds and a loft area with two Queen beds. Two bathrooms with tub/shower combinations. Living area with new leather couches and large screen TVs.

About Amy Padgett
We own four cabins in the Coosawattee River Resort, these two, Trout Trap - https://www.vrbo.com/109998 and River Lodge on Fir - https://www.vrbo.com/583476. All the cabins are catered to large groups and are located directly on the river.
Amy Padgett purchased this Cabin in 2017
Why Amy Padgett chose Ellijay
The word “Ellijay” is an Anglicized form of a Cherokee word, perhaps meaning "place of green things" or "many waters." This would make a lot of sense considering this is the place where the Ellijay and Cartecay Rivers meet forming the Coosawattee River. The Coosawattee and Mountaintown come together and flow into Carter’s Lake: A gorgeous recreational lake developed by the Corps of Engineers. This region abounds with wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, bears, eagles, and hawks. The Rivers are a favorite for trout fishermen or feel free to our stocked fishing pond within the resort.

The beautiful home(s) & area along the river were perfect for our family gathering of 20! We made memories here!
Fantastic property for large group.
Everything you could want for a mountain retreat. Hot tub, amazing views, clean property and a wonderful host. We will be back.
Peace and Serenity
We took the kids and the my parents up to the mountains for spring break. After an 8.5 hour drive, it was refreshing to see everything we needed was in the cabin. Charcoal for the grill, check. Plates, utensils, pots and pans, check. Cut hardwood for the fireplace, check. We enjoyed some nice dinners with the doors open to hear the rushing river. My parents were happy to have their own cabin and the kids loved the ample space to run and play. No one was ready to leave when it was time to go.
The owner provided detailed directions, instructions for the gates, and plenty of recommendations for food and nearby activities.
I've already recommended the location to a friend who is coming up in the fall.
Amazing riverside retreat
We absolutely loved waking up every morning on a private stretch of the river. The homes were clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. One of our favorite features was the big flat top grill on the deck, where we cooked everything from burgers, to ribeyes, and even bacon and egg breakfast one morning. Plenty of room to spread out on the property as well if you need some alone time away from the rest of your group. All in all, we would give it 5 stars.
What a wonderful place to stay!
Amy was a fantastic host. She was extremely communicative and accommodating. The place was clean and even more impressive than the photos. My group absolutely loved it, and have already discussed booking it again for a future date!
