Classic Mid-Century 2 bedroom, 2 bath home, believed to be designed by Sarasota School of Architect Ralph Twitchell or a close follower. It is located directly on Siesta Key’s Grand Canal and is nestled into a quiet, luxury neighbourhood.
We tried to preserve the “Old Florida” bungalow vibe that is steadily disappearing. Decorated with furniture of the era, alongside modern elements from European designers. Sunlight floods into the panoramic windows from both sides of the house. Relax while enjoying the subtropical garden in front or the waterway out back. Dock your boat, drop a fishing line or go kayaking when the mood strikes. It’s a five minute bike ride to the top-rated Siesta beach or into the village.
The entire house, garden, dock, shed and carports are available for guests to use during the stay. This house is best suited for a couple or small family. If you are looking to accommodate two couples, please note the wall between the two bedrooms is not fully soundproof, nor are the bedroom doors so it will be cozy.
As soon as you arrive, kick up your feet and enjoy this wonderful Mid-Century bungalow. The location, and home itself will make you want to stay forever.

This is our second time staying at this property and we love it! Host is awesome, place has everything you need and is in a great location. Having a boat lift makes it even better!
Beautiful location, very clean, hosts are very accommodating. Close enough to the beach to not be a hassle to get to but far enough away that you can escape if needed. Would recommend.
Malia is wonderful - always accommodating and easy to work with. The house is located in a great area (close to everything) and very quiet. This was our second time staying here (hubby loves the canal for our boat) and we like the charm of this house. Looking foward to staying here again in the future! Siesta Key is our favorite place to visit when in FL. Thank you for sharing your home, Maila!
House location is excellent, enjoyed setting on both sides of home and fishing from dock. Close to most everything on the island and great location to explore other Keys.
Very clean, well equipped, quiet neighborhood, and relaxing environment, a mile away from the greatest beaches you can imagine. An excellent host always trying to see what else she could do to make our staying even better.
We thought house was perfect for the two of us. It was very quiet neighborhood. Easy access to everything. The beach was a short drive and plenty of parking. We enjoyed our stay.

They were truly wonderful guests! David was respectful, clean and communicative throughout their stay. We would welcome him back anytime. Thanks for being such a pleasure to host.
This vrbo made our vacation easy, comfortable, and super enjoyable!
Property was well loved and exactly as described. I wanted to maintain and contribute to its uniqueness by going the extra mike with cleanliness and upkeep.
It was our second time in this beautiful house. Our anticipaton was huge and when we arrivef we knew why. The facilities and the location are hard to describe- it is so beautiful there. We will definitely spend our vacation there again. Thank you Malia & Andreas😎👋😍
Everything was as listed online. The property was in a quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy. Pet friendly which was a huge thing for us. We loved that we were able to bring our boat and not have to trailer it daily. It was close enough to bike to both the beach and downtown Siesta. Great place to stay. Would definitely recommend and be back again.

Kathryn was a wonderful guest. She took good care of our home. They were also able to offer professional advice on our boat lift. She was helpful and immaculate. Kathryn, her husband and dog would be warmly welcomed back anytime.

Candy was an easy-going guest who was quick to compliment our home. This of course made a great first impression. She was equally lovely throughout her entire stay. Candy was a pleasure to have as a guest. We would recommend she and her spouse, as well as her dog, to any future hosts. Thank you for bringing more sunshine to Florida!
Especially loved the outside! Sunroom, patio, and watched boats, ducks, dolphins from private dock!
Great communication with hosts. House as described, fully stocked. The house seven us well but the outside space was by far our favorite! When not at the beach (which is literally 5 minutes away) we soaked up sun and watched the boats (and dolphins!) come and go thru the channel.
Annual KW Birthday Pilgrimage and general shenanigans
Loved this place and Malia and the rest. Brought our 21’ Searay and docked it right out back. What a romantic place. All glass at the rear, mostly glass in the front yet private and made for lovers. We had some bad marine weather but we had one of the best times for our annual October Birthday Trip for Sasha Michelle.
Absolutely everything one could want for a vacation rental. This house has a unique architecture that is perfect for the setting. The open plan, surrounded by windows, is ideal. The host was more than accommodating and communication was timely. The host has equipped the property with equipment to fully explore the island….bikes and kayaks were supplied. It was a perfect stay. Thank you.
We can hardly put into words how beautiful our stay in this villa was.
Absolutely gorgeous - this view 😎😍😍
With the bikes you are quickly on the beach or in the village.
Thank you very much. We would love to come back next year.👋,
We thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully decorated home in quiet Siesta Key. We were blessed with visits from a couple of dolphins. Very close to the beach, only a 5 minute drive! But we ended up using the house more than we expected. Rhonda and Malia are exceptional, making sure we had everything we needed which was the case. I hope we will have the chance to return!
A true peaceful bungalow in Siesta Key. Perfectly nestled, a little piece of heaven on the Key to disconnect from life’s hustle and bustle. This bungalow is fully equipped (beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, kayaks, games, bbq, etc.). We’ve enjoyed our time here once again, this is our second visit and will be back in 2025. Malia always reachs out during our stay to make sure we have everything we need. We were fortunate to bring our boat this year and enjoyed the comfort of the backyard dock. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home.
Wow! This beach bungalow was everything we were looking for. We liked the decor and overall vibe of this home. It is exceptionally clean and stocked with everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect...quiet neighborhood, close to all the cute shops, restaurants, and grocery store. Most importantly the homeowner, Malia, was so wonderful to work with. She responded to my inquiries promptly, and while we were there she checked in to be sure everything was alright. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved it so much we booked again for next year! Thank you, Malia, for sharing your beautiful home with us.
We vacationed here for two weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely, quiet, very safe neighborhood of well-kept homes. The village is about a 5-minute drive away and very lively, the quiet of the neighborhood was really nice to come home to. We especially enjoyed the patio and deck/dock areas in back of the home. We had coffee here every morning and a glass of wine every evening. Enjoyed watching the boats go by. Malia is an amazing host! We couldn't find the bike helmets, and she had two delivered to us later the same day! The home was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. If we visit in the area again, we will definitely stay here!
We had an excellent time. The kitchen is well stocked.(Keurig, coffee pot, blenders, all utensils, etc.) The house was very clean, the beds very comfortable and you can't beat the location. We brought our pontoon boat and easily docked it right outside the back door. The host is very responsive and cared very much for the quality of our stay. We would recommend this house and will happily stay here again.

I am an American designer living in Zurich with my husband and two school-aged children. We truly love staying at our bungalow because of the garden, canal and lifestyle in Siesta Key.
Why they chose this property
It is a quiet, low-fi home which helps one relax because it is such a carefree environment. It's canal location is enjoyable from first waking until going to sleep. It is a prime location for Siesta Key as well as Sarasota. It is best suited for a couple, a family of four. For two couples it will be cozy, so be sure you know each other well.
