Quite little get away
Fantastic location to everything . Even walked to the beach. Ann was a excellent host. Will stay there again on my next trip to Falmouth .
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Anne's home! It had so much charm and was stocked full of comforts and things we might need. We particularly enjoyed the bowl of fruit Anne left for us! The location of this house is great for a visit to Cape Cod. There is a small cafe', the Village Cafe', within walking distance of the house and we enjoyed breakfast there each day of our stay. We also took the opportunity to travel to Chatham and Orleans for a day trip which was a reasonable drive from Anne's. We spent two days at Chapoquoit Beach, which is about a half mile walk from the house, and we enjoyed many meals in Falmouth and Woods Hole. Another convenience of the location is its close proximity to the Martha's Vineyard ferry, which we also took advantage of! Overall we had a fantastic trip, felt very comfortable at Anne's, and would highly recommend this house and this town for a trip to the Cape!
A great find!!
My husband and I stayed at the Sea Captain's home last week. We were greeted by Anne when we arrived. She was most kind and left us plenty of food for breakfasts (fruits, english muffins, butter, jam, cream for coffee, OJ, yogurt). That was awesome! the place was larger than I thought it would be. And very clean and comfortable. There is a library right next door. About 4 doors down is a little market. They also make sandwiches there. Across the street from there is an ice cream shop and a coffee shop. The ice cream shop closed for the season last week and the coffee shop will be open until October. There is coffee in the house, so you can make your own. Very close by is the entrance to the bike path. Biking to Woods Hole is 3.9 miles. It is paved and flat. If you are more adventurous, take your bike to Marthas vineyard and bike from Oaks Bluff to Edgartown and back to Oaks Bluff. Beautiful ride. The entire ride from the house is 26.5 miles! The Beach is also nearby. Downtown is about a ten minute ride. You won't find a better location if you are looking to bike and go to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.
A great stay in Falmouth
Anne and her daughter were very welcoming hosts, some breakfast items were waiting for us and they even drove us to town a couple of times. The rooms were very sweet and full of character and it was really nice having a kitchen. The location was great as we could walk to the market, ice cream shop and the beach. Overall it was a great stay.
Homey, cheerful & convenient
We had a lovely stay in the apartment in Anne's historic home -- which is chock full of charm and cozy furnishings. Anne made us feel right at home with tomatoes from her garden, breakfast goods, and plenty of tips on places to visit and things to do in the area. The property is within walking distance or short drive to almost any Cape experience you are seeking. The Chapoquoit Beach sunset is the best!
Wonderful stay! My fiance and I had a great three night stay here. The aspartment was very nice and lots of room. Bigger than looks in the pictures. Anne was very nice and spent some time telling us about local spots and good restuarants. The beach was in walking distance, we took early morning and evening strolls on the nearby bike path.
