1 King with private bath downstairs plus queen pull out sofa in living room.
1 King and 1 Queen bed upstairs with full bath.
Enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water!!!!

House is in a quiet neighborhood at the end of the dead end street with sand path leading to the Beach just 400 ft away. Area on beach with chaise loungers, chairs, beach umbrella and gas grill all provide. New construction completed in November of 2019. We also have another VRBO property id 1819056 Cozy Cove Cottage and 1846774 Green Turtle that was completed at the same time.

House is fully furnished with all linens, bath and beach towels and cooking utensils.

Island is a primarily European based island. It has 6 restaurants, 4 Bars, 1 large very nice grocery store, 2 small grocery Stores, and 3 Liquor Stores.
Island is only 7 miles from closest Airport, North Eleuthera Airport or airport code is ELH. It is a 10 minute taxi ride followed by a 5 minute ferry ride over to to the island. Spanish Wells. Once you provide us with your flight information we will arrange your transportation from the airport to the island with local shuttle company. Cost is only $20/person for both water and land taxi. Once you arrive on island we will meet you and take you to the house and answer any questions you might have and get you all settled in.
In an attempt to make our property more affordable for smaller groups our pricing is based on 1-6 persons. Once correct amount is entered at booking correct price will be calculated. If changes are made to the number of guest home owner must be notified and applicable extra guest fee will have to be paid prior to arrival or access to the property will not be granted.

Spanish Wells Oasis

From the start to finish our stay at the Turtle Shell Cottage was perfect. The house was clean and organized with everything you needed for your stay. Jody took our family on a day long boat excursion and it was perfect. We swam with the pigs, went to the swings in the middle of ocean, visited sanddollar beach and snorkled at 2 amazing spots. The walk to the beach was coated in fairy lights that lit up the trees-it was magical. We will be back!!

The best time

We love Spanish Wells. We found it by accident a few years ago. I’ve already started plans for our 2025 trip and I’m planning to stay in one of these great properties again. The Pinders and staff were so helpful and the amenities that are included with these listings are perfectly thought out and exactly what we wanted. We had the most relaxing, recharging spring break. Absolutely my happy place and has me thinking about stays that last more than a week. Thank you so much for making these beautiful properties an option for this midwesterner and her people. 😊😊😊

Great Family Vacation

This property was absolutely for our spring break as a family! It was a great place to launch our explorations of the island, and we loved how close it was to the beach. We got to do lots of snorkeling and kayaking. I was well stocked and had everything we needed.

Amazing Cottage on Spanish Wells

We had a great time in Spanish Wells. Turtle Shell cottage was very nice. It had everything we needed. The location is perfect. A short walk down a path leads you to the beautiful beach with beach chairs and nice umbrella covering. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely rent here again

Escape from our Alaska winter!

Absolutely a delightful place. So wonderful to make a cup of coffee in the morning and walk to the beautiful beach in under a minute. The landscaping and all of the surroundings were over the top. The furnishings were comfortable. Communication with the host was easy. A complete pleasure to stay in your escape.

Amazing vacation… we’ll be back!

My family had a fantastic time on Spanish Wells, and staying at Turtle Shell cottage was like home! The location was perfect! The cottage was adorable and cozy. Jody and Tara were fantastic hosts, and they were quick to respond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved the laid back atmosphere of the island and slow pace. THIS was a true vacation, and we’ll definitely be back! Thanks Jody and Tara!

Another Great Stay

This was our second time staying on Spanish Wells with this host, and we can't imagine a better experience. The cottage is immaculate, well located. Perfect for a family of four or more. The hosts are the best.

Great Property & Wonderful Hosts

The house was very nice and sparkling clean. Golf cart looked new, bicycles & kayak were in excellent condition. There is a short path from the house to the beach where there is a canopy, hammock, chairs & lounges. The kayak is also stored on the beach which was very convenient. The hosts were very nice and responsive to requests - they are well organized and on top of everything. I had a great vacation and have already reserved the house for next year. The house and hosts definitely deserve the 5 stars they are consistently rated.

We couldn't be happier with our stay at Turtle Shell

First off our communication in pre-planning was super quick and super helpful. The place was so cute and comfortable and access to the beach (a spectacular, nearly empty of people beach) was 1 min walk. Spanish Wells is wonderful and we will go back and we would love to stay here again. Thank you Tara and Jody for all the help and for this lovely little gem of a place

Excellent location and accommodations!

We had a great stay in Spanish Wells that began with the property owners meeting us at the water taxi dock. They provided us with a very nice golf cart and we followed them to the house. We were provided with simple and clear directions for the home and found it beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. We were only steps from the beach, and they had a wonderful covered area on the beach for our use. It included chairs and loungers, so no dragging stuff back and forth from the house. We definitely plan to rent from them again when we return in a few months! You really can't go wrong with this house, and the owners we available for any questions we had and made great recommendations!

A breath of fresh and sweet air

The house was very clean. It appeared to be recently built, but it was very well maintained. The walk down the path to the beach was short, clear, and like a short walk in the woods then it opened up to the gorgeous beach. The beach, kayak, chairs, and bicycles were in great condition. The golf cart that was included was perfect as well. One of the many highlights were the muffins the host dropped off. If you’re lucky enough, you may also have a chance to get them as well! If we had a question or needed help, the host were always available and happy to help. A wonderful couple snd we’ll probably stay at one of there larger houses because we’re bringing more people next time!!

When I say everything was perfect, I mean EVERYTHING was PERFECT!!!! The house was incredible…beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed!!! It literally is steps away from a beautiful path that leads straight to the gorgeous beach and ocean!! Having use of a golf cart was a major plus!!! Communication with our host was always easy and prompt and so very helpful!!! Our family rented all 3 of these beach houses for our son’s wedding and it literally was PERFECT!!! We will rent again for sure!!!!❤️

A Perfect Memorable Vacation!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our trip was and how perfect this house was for our family. The house is beautifully decorated and just steps away from the sandy beach and a short golf cart ride to all of the restaurants, boat docks, and grocery. Jody and Tara are the ultimate vacation hosts - and helped us with anything we needed from the first moment we arrived to the second we left. If you have never been to Spanish Wells you have not truly visited the Bahamas. It is a beautiful island of the most friendly and welcoming residents. We rented a boat from Harbourside Rentals for our week's stay and swam with pigs and stingrays and turtles, visited countless secluded beaches surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas, fished and explored reefs and dive spots. We even got to enjoy a rivalry softball game at the local field between the team from Spanish Wells and neighboring Eleuthera, and also the farmers/Artisan market on Saturday. Don't miss Paca Scoops for ice cream each night and highly recommend the fresh conch salad from the local stand over on the Russell Island side. (open weekends only I think). Budda's Snack Shake is a great lunch spot and we also enjoyed meals at Wreckers and The Shipyard as well. The house is stocked with plenty of cooking utensils/pans and a gas grill so we cooked in several nights as well. I can't say enough about our vacation and how memorable it was. Additionally, Jody and Tara have four other vacation rental homes in this same spot and would be a perfect location for a large family vacation/reunion. Just a fantastic vacation from start to finish. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an unforgettable trip and we are so thankful to Jody and Tara for sharing their little piece of paradise with us! Can't wait to make a return trip :)

My name is Jody Pinder and my wife Tara Pinder are natives to the Island and have lived here all our lives. I spent 30 years in the local lobster fishing industry where I was captain of one of the local fishing boats for 20 years and now manages a few rental properties on the Beach, SummerSunset and Ocean Dreams. I also now own and operate a local tour company Named Capt. Kid & Son Charters. we will be happy to take you out on a boat tour to see the swimming pigs, swim with turtles, visit secluded beaches , do some fishing etc. with this company. All tours are private and customize for every customer.
My wife Tara is a Dog groomer on the Island and helps me manage the properties. We have 3 kids all grown and out of the house now. We have owned and managed the Beach Houses now for the last few years. Ocean Dreams for 15 years and Summer Sunset for 7 years. We will ensure all of your needs are taken care of on the island and make the arrangements to get you from the airport to the house and back to the airport If you have any questions about us please refer to the reviews on Ocean Dreams and Summer Sunset beach cottages. We have just built this house in 2019 and 2 others as well Green Turtle Cottage and Turtle Shell Cottage completing on Nov 6 2019. All 3 new houses have 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bath.
