Why they chose this property

This is an iconic "old Malibu" resort property that dates back to the 1970's. The property has been under stewardship of a non-profit land trust for the past 20 years. We have helped protect and preserve over 700+ acres in Western Malibu, including "God's little pocket" in Nicholas Canyon. The property was devastated by the Woolsey Fire in November 2018 and recovery and rebuilding efforts are ongoing. The retreat house is the only dwelling unit that survived. Thanks to generous grant funding, we were able to make repairs to the guest house and are eager to welcome guests back to the property.

Your stay directly benefits the non-profit land trust that protects the canyon and nature preserve. The recovery and rebuilding process of the property grounds and canyon trails will be a lengthy and costly multi-year effort.
