Great vacation home !
Spent a week here with our family and have to say it was perfect - location is ideal with sunsets and awesome views across Meredith Bay. House was well equipped - older home but updated for comfort and well stocked kitchen. We loved the porch and balcony outside the two master bedrooms, and the large common area upstairs was perfect for the older kids. Brand new washer and dryer, good wifi, and plenty of space for our large family. The inside of the house is full of cool history, books, maps and artifacts. Outside we had use of a sprawling yard with lots of chairs and a fire pit for evening campfires, plus two docks for launching our kayaks and tying our boat. We enjoyed kayaking to the lighthouse at spindle point every morning. Pam has a beautiful garden and encouraged us to pick herbs and flowers ! She is knowledgeable about the area, super sweet, and she was genuinely interested in our happiness and comfort. If we come back to the area, we would rent this house again without hesitation. Thanks Pam - it was a pleasure to meet you and thanks for sharing your awesome home !
Amazing Memorial Day
Thank you so much Pam and family for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house this weekend. This is the second time we have stayed there and hope to have many more.
Great for multiple families, excellent host
We just wrapped up an awesome week for our first time on the lake. We made great use of the firepit, kayaks, boat dock, board & yard games, sandpit and grill - all had us practically living outside whenever we could.
Pam was a great landowner, offering very good insight about the area, good places to boat, hike & eat, and even hooked us up with a babysitter!!! that we would highly recommend - a local high-schooler/family friend who handled our two families' 5(!) children with ease.
Our favorite elements of the house itself were the 2 master bedrooms that both had gorgeous views & their own little porches; the "camp room" where all the cousins piled into the bunk beds & trundle; and a set of french doors that separated all the sleeping quarters from the kitchen/living room - allowing our early-risers to be up and playing, making coffee etc. while the older kids could sleep in.
We will be back!
The house was perfect for blending two families with six kids between 8 and 15 years of age.
Plenty of space and sleeping room. Kids loved their room upstairs. The lake is gorgeous and the views are stunning throughout the day. A great spot to watch sunsets and make S'mores on the firepit while sitting on the dock. The owners provided three Kayaks and we enjoyed them in the early hours of the day.
Great hiking trails nearby and lots of farms with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Would love to come back and enjoy that all over again.
A very nice vacation on Lake Winnipesaukee
My wife and I, and many of our children (now young adults) have been vacationing on lake Winnepesaukee for about 15 years. We have had a lot of fun over the past five years trying different locations, and different parts of the lake. This was a very comfortable home to spend the week. The location was convenient to town for grocery shopping, and had a beautiful sunset every night. Being at the head of Meredith Bay was fun. We could see the Mount Washington go by and could see Governors Island in the distance. This was almost to the tip of Spindle point, where there is a quaint little lighthouse. This was fun to kayak to. The sleeping arrangements were good with three regular bedrooms, a large bunk room, and an extra loft (which we did not use). The cooking facilities were good with an adequate kitchen, and a great outdoor fire pit. There were wonderful sitting areas all around the waterfront, and a beautiful deck attached to two docks. This was a very safe place to dock our boat. The house also came with several kayaks, and there was a floating raft about 30 yards off the end of the docks, which we all had fun with. I would say this was one of the nicer rental units we have rented over the past five years, and the owner was very pleasant to deal with. It also included broadband Internet access with Wi-Fi, and even had a computer to use if needed. There were several TVs and a nice stereo system. I would highly recommend this to a group of 5 to 8 people, needing 3 to 4 bedrooms.
Wonderful Lake house
Spent a weekend at this beautiful lake house. The owners were very nice, accommodating and made the stay a pleasure. The house was clean and spacious. It was fully stocked with everything that your normal house would have. It made it a home away from home. We were able to bring our boat and the view was breathtaking. Out of the three other places that I have stayed in Laconia and Meredith this was by far the best place. We will definitely recommend this place and will also be back again ourselves.
The Lakes Region of New Hampshire is not only picturesque, but also the doorstep to the White Mountains. Lake Winnipesaukee is centrally located in the heart of your recreational paradise!
