Torch Lake Waterfront Wonder--crystal clear water & shallow sandy walk-out

This home is on the ideal south end of Torch Lake, which is one of the world's most beautiful lakes--a sandy bottom, crystal clear water plus amazing turquoise and deep blue tropical colors the deeper it gets. On this property, it is shallow enough to enjoy walks from the shorefront all of the way to the "drop off" (you can literally walk for approximately 1/2 mile to the "drop off", which is where it finally gets super deep), or just hang out in the water gathered around the large dock and enjoy time together swimming, playing games or just floating in this beautiful clear lake.

Sun rises to the right and sets to the left--both times of the day, making for a beautiful view. If not in the water, sit on land, relax and enjoy the view from the spacious front yard & patio or the newly renovated large dock. Lastly, if you would prefer to be inside (or the weather forces you to be inside), enjoy the nice view from multiple gathering areas, where you can relax, play inside games or just watch TV.

The yard has plenty of room for the kids (& adults) to run around and play games or just hang out.

If renting a boat, it is not too shallow to bring it to the dock to load up the crew for a day of boating. There are two mooring buoys right out front also.

In the evening, enjoy eating on the patio or the dock to enjoy the view and weather. Or if weather isn't cooperating, there is plenty of room inside for the crew to eat and hang out. After dinner, you can enjoy a lakeside bonfire and roast s'mores if you desire!

This home has 3 large gathering areas (upstairs, main level, basement), a large kitchen, 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. It has been newly remodeled. It is the perfect house for "fun-bunching" with everyone OR escaping on your own in one of the many spaces throughout the house.

This home has a large basement which has a full bathroom, a sitting area with a large TV and a couch, an area with two bunkbeds (twin over full bunk beds) and finally a lovely view of the lake through windows & French doors. This basement doubles as a 6th bedroom and/or a 3rd gathering space (aka "3rd family room").

There is a grocery store just down the road and several restaurants nearby. Additionally, Alden and Elk Rapids are both a short 15 min drive with quaint shops and restaurants. Bellaire (with Short's Brewery) is just a tad further drive. Traverse City is a 35 min drive with shopping, restaurants, airport and more--a definite must visit!

In the winter, multiple ski resorts and tubing locations are close by as well as places to rent snowmobiles. Winters are beautiful here in northern Michigan--lots of snow and opportunities to enjoy it to its fullest or just cozy up in this beautiful home and enjoy the snow from the indoors!

***Although the VRBO policy for this home states "No Refund", the owner can offer a "hybrid" cancelation policy and is described below:

If the tenant cancels before 60 days of arrival date, the tenant receives refund of fees paid to date, minus a 5% cancelation fee.

If the tenant cancels inside of 60 days of arrival date, the tenant receives 0% refund, ALTHOUGH:

If the property is re-booked for the same dates and same rate, the tenant WILL receive a refund of the rental base rate paid, minus a 5% cancelation fee. (Regarding refunding the damage insurance and VRBO fees paid, it depends on how close to the arrival date the re-booking occurs and will be looked into at the time of the re-booking.)

If the property is re-booked for the same dates BUT less than the original rate, the tenant will receive the balance of the rental base rate paid, minus a 5% cancelation fee and less the amount necessary to make full payment to the owner. Homeowner reserves the right to reduce the original rental rate in order to attempt to secure a paid reservation prior to arrival date.
