House is in a great location for access to the beach. I do not think that this house should be rented until the mold problem is truly taken care of. Downstairs powder room toilet ran constantly, the garbage disposal quit working. Upstairs shower door leaked a lot. An office with a bed does not really make a 5th bedroom. Cost of this rental feels like a HUGE, IRRESPONSIBLE money grab for property that has not been sufficiently cared for. I have video of the mold in the kitchen that looks like they sprayed varnish or something to stop the spread. A couple of the people with us had reactions to the mold so they were uncomfortable with runny noses, sinus and coughing. The house has a noticeable smell though attempts are made to mask it. Didnt notice the kitchen stuff until after settled in. Felt like it would make no difference to call bc what would be done? Plus too tired and untrusting to move if even suggested. Nor did I want any worker messing with it while we were there. Bad enough to have bug spray people spraying around the doors/windows while we were having lunch. We had small children so wetness around the doors and windows while we were present also seemed irresponsible. We have loved Kiawah for over 30 years. Had a whole different feel this year. We clearly understand all the opposing desires.I had asked akers ellis why there were not many reviews of the property. Now I know the truth. All of you should be ashamed of your unethical behavior.
