We love this place!

We have been coming to this home for the past four years and absolutely love it. It is relaxing to say the least. You have chimney rock near you and great hiking trails as well. We will continue to come to this home at least twice a year. The host could not be any better!

Had a GREAT time with my family. Three young boys and the wife all enjoyed the fire pit, gaming barn, outdoor activities and high end finishes in the kitchen and bathrooms. Lovely weekend and would definitely come back.

Fantastic!

Our family loved our stay at Raven’s Rest! The beds were incredibly comfortable and everything throughout the house was spotless. The fully equipped kitchen made us feel right at home. There were tons of board games for every age level as well as a large selection of DVD’s to choose from.We enjoyed cooking on the gas grill and eating our meals outside. The wooded backyard provided a tranquil setting. There were so many activities to bring our family together such as hanging out in the barn to play many games of foosball, ping pong, and darts. There was also a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs and a swing. On the side of the barn there were horseshoes to play or you could just sit and relax in the comfy chairs nearby. Another fun experience was to walk the trail beside the barn.We took several trips to the nearby lake where we enjoyed using the SUP, pool noodles, and rafts that were provided by our host. We even hung out at the pavilion. You could use the grills and picnic tables provided and sit in the rocking chairs that overlook the lake. Staying at Raven’s Rest was an unforgettable experience. Our host was helpful, responsive, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable.

Mountain Retreat & Oasis

I absolutely love this place! The mountain home is fully equipped with everything and then some for an excellent, fun and relaxing trip! Everything was clean, fully stocked, and set up for a perfect get a way ! The owner did a wonderful job offering games, the game barn, fire pit, ceiling fans everywhere, dimmers on the lights, nice grill , deck and lovely front porch. The grounds at Riverbend are wonderful. Lots of mountains, river areas to hike, swimming hole, and beach at the lake is great. I loved having coffee in the mornings reading on the front porch, playing games in the outdoor game barn and backyard, walking the grounds, and exploring. The cabin was so nice and comfortable. I have already recommended family and friends. We enjoyed our entire stay and we will be back for a longer stay next summer!

Ravens Rest

This property exceeded our expectations! The kitchen was fully stocked. There were tons of board games. They even had brochures to assist you on planning your time there. The outdoor activities are endless......they have a game room and horseshoes.....theres a gas grill and an amazing fire pit with tons of seating. I could go on forever. I believe this is the best place we have ever stayed.....and we vacation often!

Clean and Cozy

We just stayed here and it was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway. We had 4 adults, 2 kids (ages 5 & 8) and 2 dogs. The place was so clean and cozy (shocked it was pet friendly!). The location was very nice too - easy to get too, flat driveway to park on and lots of nearby neighborhood amenities. They have a walking trail, a little beach area the kids enjoyed (no dogs allowed) and our favorite was the “old swimming hole” (dog friendly) where the whole family enjoyed exploring the river and floating around. There are a couple nice restaurants around (we really liked Kitchen+Bar) and a nearby Ingles for all your grocery needs. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock were only 20 minutes away - a fun hike to the waterfall and beautiful views! Really wished we had stayed longer to enjoy more of what the house and area could offer. The house backyard had a cute fire pit area and a barn with a game room too. Totally kid friendly with a closet devoted to Lincoln Logs, some cars and a few games. Would highly recommend!

Great Family Getaway!

Property was perfect for our brief family vacation. Loved the firepit (the 'smores kits that were on the counter when we arrived were a fantastic touch!) and the horseshoes, darts and cornhole. Home had plenty of room for four adults and one child.

Great Location - Close to the lake

The boys loved that they could walk to and from the lake to fish and the creek behind the house was a nice touch we weren't aware of prior to staying. Lots of wildlife and the cabin had everything we needed for our stay that we forgot to bring with us! Cozy and comfortable - particularly given it rained two days while we were there, unfortunately.

Fabulous

My family and I stayed at Ravens Nest and had an amazing time. The home is stocked with everything you need and a lot of what you didn’t know you needed! My four year old was so happy to find a bucket of toy cars in the game closet. Everything thing is spacious, clean, and well maintained. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Fantastic!

My wife and I stayed with our dog Louie. The cabin was spotlessly clean, and everything was great. A short walk to the lake/beach, trails, etc. and close to everything while feeling very secure and private. House was fantastic and had everything we needed. Had deer in the back yard several mornings, which Louie the Dog both loved and hated! One of the best rentals we've ever had and looking forward to return.

A nice house in a nice location in the gated community

This house is very nice, just as it looks in the photos. It is a nice log home on the outside and is decorated in a pretty, clean and comfortable style on the inside. There is a good amount of living space, in addition to comfortable bedrooms. The house is in a good location in the community, not very far from the beach area on the lake, The house has a lot of amenities, including a 'bbq and fire pit, and all is in good working order.
