Wildwood Vista is a fantastic mountain home with rock-face views & an excellent location inside the gates at Rumbling Bald Resort. Bald Mountain, Shumont Range & Youngs Mountain are seen year-round. Rustic Elegance with a true mountain feel. When you walk in, you see a welcoming kitchen/dining area and the main-level living room (fireplaces have electric inserts). This level also features a master suite with a king bed and full bath, and a laundry room with a half bath. The upper level has a family/TV room with two twin-size Murphy Beds. Down the hall are a full bath and another bedroom with two twin beds. There is a lower level with outside access only that offers two queen-sized beds and a full bath with a walk-in shower, so this home is perfect for couples traveling together, extended family, or, of course, just great friends! There are lots of trees, and nature abounds in this lovely property. You'll find plenty of outdoor deck and patio spaces to enjoy the outdoors.
There is no satellite or cable package, but unlimited internet, so smart TV services are available; bring your passwords for Netflix, Prime, or your other favorites.

2nd year staying here for our golf trip to Rumbling Bald. As last year all is great. The only complaint is no TV in the main floor den, but I bring my own TV for that room and works fine.

Great property with great view

Great views of Rumbling Bald. House is better in person than in the pictures. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spots for everyone to chill out. Thanks for having the hammock set up.

Location was good. Hate to be critical but vacationers spend a lot of money and shouldn't be surprised. No blinds on master bdrm and murphy bdrm windows. Carpet is old and worn in bdrms along w throw rugs in bathrooms. Walls need paint. Bdrm w 2 queen beds is in the basement w no internal stairs. Feels completely detached from rest of the house. One live roach and several dead bugs along a murphy bed. Cleaners aren't too thorough. 2nd level bathroom was leaking into celing of first level laundry room below it.

Great Family Reunion Trip

We really enjoyed our stay to this lovely home in the Rumbling Bald community. The property itself is very beautiful and has a great view of the mountains. Our family felt comfortable and safe and everything we needed was provided or listed otherwise. The “detached” room below was perfect for family members who wanted a bit of privacy and everything worked out great with sleeping arrangements for eight and pets. The property management company was extremely helpful before and after the stay as well. The only thing I would suggest is a TV to go in the living room as everyone tends to gather there and not upstairs. Overall, I would enjoy coming back to this property! Thanks!

Lovely home, great view from master bedroom, but a couple complaints

The home is lovely, the view from the master is awesome, the resort gorgeous with loads of amenities, but the furnishings were pretty uncomfortable, the mattresses really hard, and the only common area TV was in the corner of the upstairs den. It is the size of a computer monitor and the view is blocked by the large fireplace, so all the guys on this family trip couldn't watch football. Kind of a bummer after a busy day enjoying the outdoors (FYI the downstairs living room does not have a TV at all). Why not mount a larger screen on the fireplace? Nonetheless, we had a great time and would return.

Great pet friendly location

We had an excellent time at this property in Rumbling Bald - pet friendly and great location inside the gates. This was our 4th visit to the resort and it did not disappoint! Facilities are in great shape and Legends had excellent pizza. The home was as reported - but a few things to note: there is no TV in the main living area on the 1st floor, and while the basement bedroom (separate entrance) has a nice setup with new TV, there isn’t a lot of space for clothes storage and it was uncomfortable July 4th weekend (no AC). The basement room would be a great space with an added dresser and AC unit :-). Aside from that the home had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

Peaceful, scenic mountain retreat

If you are looking for a peaceful, scenic mountain retreat this is the place for you. Our family enjoyed the beautiful views from inside and outside the home. We enjoyed the fire pit and outside, making smores. We witnessed beautiful wildlife, such as a black bear walking below us. The house is high enough on the mountain to provide privacy from the other homes. The kitchen was well equipped. One thing to note- the room with the 2 queen size beds, has a separate entrance only. There is no direct entrance to the home. This worked out for our family, however it may be helpful to know when planning. We were pleasantly surprised with this home and had a very memorable vacation. The communication was also very thorough and done electronically which kept things simple. Any questions I had were answered very timely. Excellent experience overall!

Winter Getaway

We had an amazing time at this property. The location is absolutely breathtaking!!!!! The house is equipped with EVERYTHING you need!!. Although we did not get to see any snow, we got to hike, walk the streets of Chimney Rock, and even rode the alpine coaster at a nearby town. Definitely recommend this property!

Lake Lure getaway

Beautiful property, well equip, beautiful grounds. Great room upstairs was comfortable and lots of games played by the family in that space. The cabin was around the lake and up the mountain. A bit too far of a drive if you are trying to check out Asheville, we also didn’t realize the double queens were fully detached from the main house and can only Be accessed by walking outside and downstairs. Overall we had a great stay.

Very enjoyable house in a beautiful setting. Bad weather made the separate downstairs room a little awkward, but that is not a big deal. Kitchen and bathroom amenities were as expected. Overall, very nice!

Somewhat Disappointed

There was no mention of motorcycles not allowed. There was no mention of it being a gated community. Dogs are “welcome” but little places to walk them, and not allowed at the lake. The lower level was not cleaned upon arrival (they came back and cleaned it that evening). There was hair in the bath mat upstairs (we cleaned that). The bedrooms had no curtains or blinds. A privacy and sleeping issue. The master bath had no curtain. The power went out twice on two different nights. Also, it would have been nice if there was a tv in the main living room, the main sitting area. Other than these issues, the house was fine. We paid a lot to rent for the week and we are disappointed with our stay.

The house was nice. View was beautiful and location was good. The kitchen could use some upgraded utensils such as a better can opener, measuring spoons, cups and some more pots and pans. Other than that a neat spot.
