The house is amazing. Good bones and beautifully decorated. Gardens are not only pretty but the kitchen garden provided a nice meal. We sat in the chairs by the water every evening. The location is great for getting to the crowded places then being able to get away from them!

Quiet a view
The property is in a beautiful location with amazing views . Inside the living rooms are spacious and not too much furniture which is great . Have an area close to the kitchen with is nice
The cons side are: the garden is in bad shape , the vegetables garden all destroyed . Inside the house really need updates more the bathrooms and more the kitchen . The bbq area is dirty and also have broken chairs.
No cable in this house but they advertise that it is. Have a couple of incidents with a couple of windows that fell on us also the pots in the kitchen are burn and never being replace
The owner is not that friendly only response in case of emergency
If u rent bring soap , laundry soap and also dishwasher is not in good condition. It could have being better if they really care for this property. The basement have a bedroom but a old and very tiny shower. It was a experience and Maine is beautiful

Alan and his party started out by repeatedly contacting me because they were confused about the photos on the house and thought that somehow I was renting them a different house than advertised. It was all a bit crazy from the start.
I am sorry that some pans are burnt-- unfortunately we have an induction range and we have to replace plans frequently because so many guests are unfamiliar with using an induction range. They are all very high quality and I replace them regularly (unfortunately). This was a matter they didn't even bring up during their stay.
The windows were all fixed within 24 hours.
They arrived in September in Maine, so I'm not really sure what vegetables they were still expecting-- the blackberries/blueberries/tomatoes etc are all out of season by then.
And we also definitely have soap and laundry soap at the house. We don't provide shampoo.
And yes, we don't have cable. We have cable internet and you can stream whatever you want.
A beautiful spot - secluded but close to everything
A quick trip for some fall hiking. What a lovely home! A beautiful house with very tasteful furnishing. Right on the water and far enough from the road that it was quiet and peaceful, but it was only a few minutes down the road to the supermarket and main street. Lucy was very responsive and easy. Deer and eagles roamed the property each morning and I even managed to grab a couple of the last tomatoes before the frost set in. We'll definitely be coming back!
We loved our stay at little owlette, and Lucy was a gracious, responsive and helpful host. The property is stunning and the house has very nice amenities.
A great collection of college friends and their children rented BOTH houses during the same time frame… crossing the field between both houses makes for a charming way to share time together. Either house is comfortable and easy to enjoy solo, the fun is compounded when renting both. Easy trips to Deer Isle and Blue Hill made the time even better. Take advantage of the bountiful garden to supplement your meals. Be sure to bring your own water toys should you want to explore Salt Pond.
