Were totally blindsided by the outside stairs to access the apartment. We are 79 years old and it was difficult to get our suitcases etc. up the stairs in a safe manner. We did like the fact that the property was clean and well equipped. Dishwasher worked well - coffeepot was adequate. There is a washer and a dryer although we didn't need those. We would have liked information on how to use the television/cable remotes. A neighbor had to show us how to use them. Bring ear plugs for the street noise and a sleep mask for use in the front bedroom as the street light right outside is on all night. Lots of room, however, and very comfortable beds.

historic calumet
Great location in historic building. Easy to do a walking tour of old Calumet. Great bar (Shutes) just a few blocks away. Good location for day trips to Copper Harbor, beaches, even Porcupine Mountain State Park. The kitchen was not stocked with needed pantry items - salt/pepper, oil. There was no hairdryer provided. Traffic noise is loud.

UP Adventure
Very nice, cool space with lots of room. Bed sheets looked rather old & could have used a coffee table in the LR. Maybe something on the walls?

Beautifully restored
This is a beautifully restored old building right in downtown calumet. Had everything we needed and was a great location for dropping my son off at MTU.

Wonderful location for Keweenaw Peninsula history and culture.
Calumet is refreshing in that it offers many of the same amenities that other popular travel destinations have, but the people who staff these attractions are not as jaded as some and seem genuinely to appreciate visitors. It was calming and stimulating at the same time.
