Matt and his family were great guests. They were very respectful of our home and left it very clean and in excellent condition. Communication was also great. We give them a 5 star rating!

We would never rent our home to this individual/family again and suggest no other homeowner rent to them. They repeatedly violated the house rules and rental agreement, including repeatedly sneaking in unregistered and additional occupants, more than were contracted for and exceeding the number of allowed occupants. They repeatedly disabled and broke our security system, as well as tampering with our alarm panel that set off the emergency alarm that dispatched local authorities. Had to pay to have portions of our security system replaced because they damaged beyond repair. The guest let us know prior to her arrival she was renting hotel rooms and would not stay at our house at all times, such as over the New Years’s holiday which gave us a concern that the guest, who is a realtor, may be subleasing it to others when she planned to be away. After multiple warnings by us and VRBO to stop breaking multiple house rules they continued to ignore and violate the rules and continued to bring in extra occupants. We received warning notices and complaints from our HOA, golf course (behind our property) and neighbors that they were trespassing across private property to sneak unregistered occupants into our home thru the back fence. Violating our community rules, HOA rules and our house rules. On multiple occasions, while the guests were away from the home, they left several doors, screens and windows wide open and unlocked leaving our home and belongings vulnerable to theft and vandalism, bugs/critters and weather damage from rain etc. We had to pay for a security service to come in and close all the open doors, screens, windows and to lock the home while guests had been away for extended periods of times because of their negligence and disregard in leaving our home wide open. All our previous rental guests across all rental platforms have given us 5 star and exceptionally good reviews of our home, location and hosting. This guest most likely gave us a negative review because they had been contacted by us and VRBO advising them they were continuing to violate several house rules including continually sneaking in extra occupants. We would highly suggest that no other homeowner or property manager rent to this guest and put their home in jeopardy of this guests negligence and misuse of their home as they do not honor the agreed number of occupants allowed or follow the agreed upon house rules.
