My third time at Gentian Cottage. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Ireland! Cozy, gorgeous views, quiet, relaxing, and Ann is simply the best in the world!

Wonderful home and host

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 spent a week at Gentian Cottage and loved it. The home is beautiful, well appointed, and was fully equipped to accommodate our 17 month old. Ann was extremely helpful in securing a baby stroller for us and answering our endless questions. The cottage is a short drive to Doolin and Lisdoonvarna. Views are incredible from every room.

If you stay in the area and can complete a strenuous hike, I highly recommend the 5 mile cliff walk led by Pat Sweeney. It was the highlight of our trip and the absolute best views of the cliffs of Moher. We also really enjoyed our day trip to the Aran Islands. The food and live music in the local pubs is superb.

A perfect location for a vacation on the west coast of Ireland

  • 5 of 5

This house was better than advertised. The house was very clean and everything seemed to be new. The three bedrooms were all large and all had full baths. There were two comfortable living spaces, one near the fireplace and one in the sun room. Each morning we woke up looking out at the Burren and the Atlantic Ocean. A fantastic and relaxing location. The owner of the house was extremely nice and very helpful. You will not be disappointed renting the Gentian Cottage.
