Our condo is in the new Trailhead Lodges complex. It is one block off Main Street in the middle of downtown Winter Park and right across the street from the new town park (Hideaway Park). Hideaway offers playground equipment, a skatepark, free music concerts in the summer and sledding in the winter. The free town bus shuttle picks up right in front of our complex and will take you to the resort or around town. It is a short walk to shopping and many fabulous restaurants and coffee shops.
The complex offers a beautiful clubhouse with year round outdoor heated pool, large hot tub, fitness center, large gathering area with two story stone fireplace and kitchen for reunions, weddings, etc., an outdoor picnic area with 2 gas grills and fire pit for relaxing. All this is just steps away from our building.
Our unit is on the ground floor and sits at the back of the property where the views from our large, private wrap around deck are spectacular. Take your morning coffee outside, pull up one of the deck chairs and watch the sun rise over the divide or see if you spot a moose grazing in the meadow. At night you can throw some steaks on the grill and watch the sunset turn Perry Peak from orange to purple to blue. This unit will make you feel like you are away from it all, yet be just steps from all that the town offers.

Our family considers Winter Park to be our home away from home. Kevin grew up in Denver and has lots of family in the area. We love to come visit family and be able to enjoy the beauty and fun that Winter Park offers.

We bought this condo at Trailhead Lodges because of the layout, the location, and the views.
This condo has everything on one level. No hiking stairs to get to bedrooms.
The porch really grabbed us. It is not just a small balcony off of patio doors. It spans the length of the condo and wraps around the corner. The Fraser river runs 20 feet behind our building and you can hear its gurgle from the condo. The deck provides a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch for wildlife, read a book, photograph the mountains, or enjoy a meal.
When you are ready, you can walk out the other side of the building and be a 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants. Our son loves to be able to walk over to the skate park and spend a couple hours testing out the bowls and making new friends. He can just walk home when he is exhausted (or hungry).
In short, this condo offers the peace of the widlerness AND the convenience of the town.

Loved This Condo!
This property is much larger than what I had imagined from the online photos. There are three FULL bathrooms. The location is ideal within the complex as the windows and porch face nothing but nature. The feeling is very peaceful and we heard no noise from our neighbors. However the location is within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was great to have the teens walk to subway or to some shopping after skiing. The kitchen was stocked very well. I will request to stay here again when we return to Winter Park.
Absolutely amazing!
My family came to Winter Park for a long weekend. We had another family of five staying with us and were a little worried that it might be a tight squeeze with two families, but we were completely wrong. We were so impressed with this condo. The location is perfect - within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Not that you have to leave to eat out. The kitchen had everything you need to make meals and plenty of room for both families. The owners were very curtious and made this such a pleasant stay. We will definitely be back!
Clean, quiet, and well done
We stayed at this condo over labor day. It was very clean and the floorplan is great if you have kids. The bunk room was down the hall from the master, so the tweens felt like they had their own space. It was very quiet within the condo - I couldn't hear the TV from the master, I slept in and didn't hear all the action in the kitchen. The furniture is nice. The kitchen is really well planned and there was plenty of room at the breakfast bar to hang out and watch up to three cooks in the kitchen at one time.
We were surprised that the condo complex was so quiet on Labor Day weekend. The condo complex is right in the middle of town, walking distance to many restaurants and shops, but we felt like we were out in the woods. The deck is simply amazing. You are right up against the national forest (I think, or some other protected land) and we loved sitting out there in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.
We liked this place so much we are thinking of renting it again.
Wonderful spot
My wife and I took our three small children to Winter Park in late August. We found this place and rented it for the week. It's a great spot especially if you have kids! You are right in town but you step out on the back deck and feel like you are staying out in a cabin far away. On the back deck you couldn't hear any activity from town even when there were events going on. There's pool access, washer dryer and a great park right across the street that we visited numerous times. There's also an amazing park just down the road at the baseball fields that we visited three times. The condo was a great layout and very well kept. It was a wonderful place to stay and Jill was awesome answering all questions and even reserving us a pack n' play with the rental management company so we didn't have to pack ours.
Lovely spacious quiet condo
We enjoyed a lovely though short time in this condo with friends. It was a fantastic experience for our two families! The condo is spacious and well equipped with stunning mountain views and lovely trails just outside the door. The community pool and hot tub were fun for our kids. Being in walking distance of shops and restaurants was also so convenient, a perfect location! Wish we would have planned a longer stay!!
Beautiful Mountain Retreat
I have been going up to Winterpark for the annual Jazz Festival for 28 years, and this fabulous condo is by far the best accomodations I have stayed in there. Everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable stay was at our disposal. You can certainly tell that Kevin and Jill take great pride in this home . We sat out on the balcony every morning sipping our coffee, listening to the birds sing, the river rushing by in the distance, and taking in the wonderful view of the mountains. The condo is well appointed, bedding is extremely comfortable, as are all of the furnishings. I highly recommend this condo! to anyone visiting Winter park. We have found our mountain retreat!
