We were extremely pleased with this VRBO rental property! Upon arrival we found the house exactly as described, meticulously clean and well maintained. The 3 bedrooms are generously sized with very comfortable quality bedding. The kitchen is well stocked with necessities. The living room and den couches are amazingly comfortable! We enjoyed sitting in the back yard in the evenings, as well as the front porch in the mornings. This may not be a big deal to most, but I will comment on the fantastic decorating ability of the hosts. The whole home has a wonderful decor and theme. It was clean and fresh throughout. We appreciate that there was a washer and dryer for use (bring detergent). It was easy to check in with the key pad lock system. The home is located in a neighborhood that did not overly concern me for safety reasons. We occasionally saw people walking on the street walking their dogs and they would wave. The home is also located very close to nearby restaurants and shopping and Tampa General Hospital, which is why we chose this home. We appreciate you Maya and Jaime for letting us stay in your beautiful home and we would love to stay here again should the need arise. Thank you, The Pritchard’s

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this Tampa home and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful and thoughtfully designed the space was. Every detail felt elevated yet welcoming, and it truly made our trip feel special.The beds were comfortable & my family slept so well, which is rare when traveling, and it made such a difference in how refreshed we felt each day. Also, the location was amazing! Close to everything we needed but tucked away in a quaint little neighborhood!The host was equally amazing. They were responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond by allowing us to check in early, which made our arrival so much smoother and stress-free. I was in this house for 5 minutes and noticed a dead cockroach on the floor. Then my son found a live one on the wall by the kitchen. It was 3 p.m. not the middle of the night. I contacted the host and was told “these are normal cockroaches in Florida”. I told her I don’t care, I don’t want to stay there and wanted a refund. She said she would have a pest control company come out the NEXT day to evaluate the property. I told her that was unacceptable, as that was almost 24 hours later and my family and I would have to sleep there overnight, not knowing if this was an actual infestation. (Let alone knowing there was cockroaches in the house, regardless of it’s considered an infestation or not! They were LARGE) She said there would be no refund, and she was going to wait to see what the pest control company found. Well, we left after being in the house for an hour trying to get this resolved with both VRBO and the host. We had to find other accommodations and spend more money for our vacation. She said that she would consider a partial refund if the pest control company found anything, which of course she said she saw the dead one but nothing else, and I told her that the other one was alive, so of course it probably scurried away. She said I didn’t cancel it and she was not issuing a refund. I told her VRBO would not let me cancel it and VRBO was no help either. I tried contacting them two different times, they said let the host fix it. Unacceptable,

I respectfully disagree with your review. You requested a full refund after sending a photo of a dead, dried-out cockroach, and I do not know where it came from. That same morning, I personally inspected the home before your arrival and found no insects or signs of infestation. As I explained, pest control professionals advise that an occasional cockroach or palmetto bug can enter Florida homes, especially during this season. This does not mean there is an infestation. I contacted pest control, and although they could not come the same day, they inspected the property the following day and confirmed there was no infestation. I have the report to support this. I also asked you to cancel the reservation, but it was never canceled, so I was unable to process a refund. I always prefer guests to be honest and simply say if the home is not the right fit for them or does not meet their expectations. I am happy to work with guests in those situations. What is disappointing is when reasons are given that do not accurately represent what happened. We work very hard to provide a clean and comfortable home for our guests, and we take every concern seriously.
