The host was very personable, and we did meet him in person. Perfect location across the street from Siesta Beach and close to Siesta Village. Beautiful pool. The condo has “good bones” and is being updated with a new kitchen completed. Carpet needs replaced. We would stay here again after renovation is complete.

A little piece of paradise

Wonderful location with nice amenities. A little skimpy on the supplies (towels & kitchen basics) but for the great deal i can't complain

Great Location

Location is great. Terri at La Siesta was wonderful and extremely helpful. This condo is managed by someone else, off site, but is located at La Siesta. The condo was nice and clean. I would make sure to find out all information about the property rules before booking this condo. We stayed for two weeks and it was wonderful and we will stay here again.

The condo was convenient to the beach and village and well supplied with the necessities. It is a few steps across a busy road to the beach. However, red tide has become a problem on this part of the Gulf coast and could impact your stay.

Location

Well never met Dan there was dirty dishes in the dishwasher it looked like someone threw up on Toilet so I spent at least 30 minutes cleaning that. With all of that the lady was very nice who I guess took care Of all the condos but Dan takes care of his condo the pool was nice and you are across the street from the beach that was nice

The property was outstanding. We had some trouble with the tv/cable and contacted the owner the day we arrived. We never heard from him the entire week. If we had children with us, it would have been disastrous because of this.

No WiFi the entire stay. Notified John and he still failed to get it fixed. The couch advertised in the photos IS NOT the couch in the condo. There is a hard wood couch in the condo that you cannot sit on because it is hard, no cushioning and extremely uncomfortable. I brought these issues to John’s attention and he just quit responding. There is a lot of mold along the shower doors as well. The sliding glass doors to the balcony do not lock. The blinds in the living room do not close at all. We anticipated our vacation for months but we ended up leaving this condo three days early because it was rainy weather and we had no where to sit and no tv to watch.

GREAT LOCATION, ROOM NOT SO GREAT, THERE ARE BETTER PLACES THAN THIS.

WE STAYED FOR ONE WEEK, LOCATION IS PERFECT, HOWEVER THE OWNER PROVIDES VERY LITTLE IN THE WAY OF LINENS, TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS. WE WASHED OUR OWN IN THE COIN OPERATED WASHER AND DRYERS LOCATED AT THE FACILITY. THE BATHROOM HAD TUB MOLD, VERY POURLY KEPT. NO MAID SERVICES WITH THIS CONDO, OTHER CONDOS HAVE DAILY MAID SERVICE IN THIS SAME COMPLEX. THE COMPLEX IS VERY NICE. OUR ASSIGNED PARKING SPOT WAS TAKEN FOR TWO STRAIGHT DAYS FROM SOMEONE ELSE, NO HELP FROM OWNER.

Robin- Sorry to hear your comments. We will be happy to correct those concerns. 1-I do not advertise that I have maid service on site. The unit gets cleaned check out to check out. 2- The linens and towels are only for 3 people. I do not provide additional towels and non of condos do provide additional towels. You are confused staying in hotel and vacation rental condos. 3- Assigned parking - you should have reported to manager right away sorry to hear that. 4-I will work on mold on caulkings and cleaned them up. Thank you

Love the Location

The condo is great for a couple wanting a beach get away. Great heated community pool, easy walk across the road to the beach and a short bike ride into town. The condo shows signs of regular renting such as carpet stains, bedroom ceiling fan not working, and living room blinds that won’t rotate to close. The kitchen has everything you need-coffee maker, new air fryer and plenty of utensils. The bed is comfortable. There is only one hand towel, three wash cloths and four bath towels for the bathroom.Two beach towels are provided as well as a small cooler, beach toys and a few chairs. The internet never worked for our entire stay. It looks like the power went out before we arrived. I contacted the owner. We reset the appliances but couldn’t get the WiFi to work. We tried everything we knew to do. The owner said he would have a friend contact me but no one did. Sunday evening I let the owner know I was working remotely and needed WiFi but he stopped replying to us after he asked us to reset everything. I didn’t hear back from him for the week of our stay. I befriended the renters next door who shared their WiFi code so I could work and we could use the tv. I think the tv is still connected to next door so whoever is next should be able to use it.

Great location. That's about it.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary with a trip to FL. This listing promised a pool. We arrived to find that the pool was drained and undergoing SCHEDULED renovations that the owner was made aware of prior to letting us book. But let's start at the beginning. A phone call to the owner prior to the trip was answered by someone else who seemed too busy to speak with us. A PDF welcome packet was sent via message but it was for the wrong property. I asked for the correct one. Nothing. A door code was sent but never a unit number. We had to figure that out from pictures. We arrived very late at night. The condo is nice. It was mostly clean except the counter. Comfy bed. Slept well until the roofers started banging around. Again, scheduled maintenance. Couldn't get the cable TV to work in either room. Glad we brought our own Firestick for those rainy days. There might have been instructions in the welcome packet we didn't get. WIFI instructions were probably in that packet too. Reached out to the owner during our stay about the pool and a light out. No response. The traffic noise is very loud in the living room. The door seems old and doesn't seal well. Loved the location. Walked to the beach almost every day. Trolley stops right at the condo. After returning home, I asked the owner to compensate us for the lack of pool but he only offered credits to book again. No thanks. I would stay at La Siesta again with a different condo/owner. And call the office first to confirm there's no maintenance going on. The staff there are very nice.

Outstanding Location

Not sure why others complained about mold and the smell of cigarettes. The furnishings were high quality "Tommy Bahama" style just like the pictures. Not the typical "beachy" look of today. You can tell several improvements have been made over the yeas (granite counters, brand new HVAC system, etc). Dan mentioned a major updating is in the works. We got to watch joggers and cyclists while enjoying morning coffee on the screened-in balcony. Proximity to the best beach on Siesta Key was icing on the cake. We watched others relentlessly circling the huge parking lot across the street in search of a parking space. We enjoyed the freedom of being able to come and go to the beach without having to worry about finding a parking space. Would definitely stay here again, especially when the unit is updated.

Beautiful

I can’t say enough about the host, John, who did everything possible to enjoy our stay. He went over and above for us and we are so grateful to him! The unit is outdated and in need of some TLC. The appliances are updated and clean, but the shower definitely needs to be replaced. I found some cleaner and tried my best to remove the mold, but the shower door is so old that it was impossible. Also I overlooked that smoking was allowed. I put air freshener on the carpet and vacuumed several times, left windows opened to get the smell out, with limited success. The location is across the street from beautiful Siesta Key, and the pool at the end of a beach day was amazing and warm. Overall we had a great stay and with updates, could give it an even higher rating.

The owner never left the parking permit. We had to call and see where it was located. He said the maid threw it away. Also, the refrigerator did not work properly. All the dairy and lunch products had to be thrown away. The owner said he was going to refund 100.00 for our inconvenience. The area of the condo was great and very walkable.
