Very clean, great amenities, great location.....right down the road from the car ferry that cuts your travel distance to Charlevoix tremendously! Would definitely stay here again!
The property was very clean, very well decorated, and really a great place. The property owner was very responsive and very good to deal with. Very glad we chose this property.
Very clean home. Beautiful and peaceful property. It was in close proximity to all of the nearby towns. Very comfortable bed. Even seen a couple deer in the backyard one morning. Would definitely stay here again next time.
Beautiful home and property! It was such a nice location for visits to Charlevoix and Petoskey. The house was spotless, with a well-stocked kitchen. We especially loved being able to relax in the backyard around the fire pit and playing the yard games provided!!!
The home was great and the owners were very good with answering all of our questions . We loved the area and couldn’t have asked for a better location.
We loved staying at this property. It was really centrally located to everything we wanted to do (Sailboat ride and downtown Charlevoix, The Landing restaurant, Boyne City, a trip to Mackinac Island etc). The house was very clean, had all the amenities we needed, and had a beautiful yard.
We enjoyed a work weekend with a great retreat to this lovely home. The home was clean and well appointed with what you need for your stay! The property was lovely and we took a magical walk in the newly fallen snow it was very pretty!
Property and home were both very nice, clean and comfortable. Loved the walking trail and watching the turkeys and deer every morning and at dusk. Close enough to shopping, food & the lake, but plenty of space and privacy at the house. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with everything you could think of!needing!

About the host
Hosted by Rusty & Jennifer
We are a local family and business owners that are happy to call Boyne City home. The area has so much to offer visitors and we have done plenty of "staycations" to become more familiar with what families will enjoy while visiting northern Michigan. If you need suggestions on what is happening in the area while you are staying, or need suggestions on places to dine (mostly likely we have tried it!) we are happy to give our recommendations.
Why they chose this property
When we purchased this property in 2021, we fell in love with the peaceful surroundings and the home itself. The gardens are gorgeous and the view in the backyard is so peaceful and relaxing. We live nearby this vacation rental home and will be happy to show any potential renters the home (as long as it is not currently occupied with renters). This is our only vacation rental home that we own in the area, so we put our energy into keeping the yard looking spectacular, the home comfortable and clean.
There is also a walking trail just past the pole barn that loops around the wooded 10 acre property. It's a great walk to unwind after an evening meal or to start your morning with a cup of coffee.
Deer and wild turkeys are frequently spotted in the backyard and occasionally in the evening you will spot a porcupine, raccoon or opossum passing through.
We can easily see ourselves relocating permanently to this vacation home at some point in the future, but we are continuing to enjoy our current home for now.
What makes this property unique
The unique benefits of this vacation home is that it is close enough for everything you would want to do in this area and far enough removed from everything to get the peace and relaxation you would want on a northern Michigan vacation.
