When you stay in a Sugar Beach condo, you’ll have access to one of Maui’s best beaches for strolling, sunning, and swimming right outside your door. Choose from oceanfront views, ocean views, or garden views. The one and two-bedroom Sugar Beach Resort condos are all perfectly suited to your home-away-from-home Maui vacation. All Sugar Beach Resort Maui condos feature a private lanai, a fully-equipped kitchen, free WiFi, a washer/dryer, and all the resort amenities you’d expect from the best hotels.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Worn out condo

The condo we stayed in (309) was worn out and in need of upgrades. We met several people at the resort and visited their condos and were stunned at the variance from ours. The walls need paint and it needs a deep clean minimally! The furniture was very tired! The bed had a center lump from overuse. The recliner was greasy and worn out. We had no internet and our bathroom outlet didn’t work at all. Property management said they would come fix it but never showed. The location was perfect and the pool area was a lot of fun. We will return but not to that unit.

Great spot for newer travelers

Loved the location! Easy access to main roads to get to where you need to go and the beach is literally steps away. The Sand Witch shop is a must. Very sweet place. Didn’t love: -You HAVE to be very self-sufficient when staying here. For example, getting ahold of an agent or owner was frustrating as the response was not within 24 hours, you have to wait to speak to an agent (not ideal when you need immediate assistance) and I don’t think they’re local so they weren’t super helpful. -Checking in caused anxiety because we got there when their front office was closed. When we called the number, we had to wait for an agent so my impatience kicked in and we walked around the property until we found the place. We were worried about not having a parking pass, but gratefully we weren’t towed or ticketed. -Front office: We couldn’t use the pool the night we arrived because you need a code that the front office gives you, but we were able to check-in the next morning. -We had concerns about the bathroom ceiling but that didn’t get resolved during our stay.

VRBO VS VACASA

Have used VRBO before and it was great. Talked with owner about a late checkout and let us stay late without fee ( 4:00), this was through vacasa which I think handles vrbo’s, and we asked for a late checkout and they charged us over $60 and still made us get out by 2:00.

Short stay in Kihei

My family and I stayed at another resort for most of our stay, but just weren’t ready to leave Maui so we booked a 2 day stay in Kihei. The condo was clean and well stocked. And the view from the patio was beautiful. I’d definitely record a stay here.

Awesome place

Unit 309 has an amazing view very clean. Has everything you will need. Checking in an out was very easy. Definitely recommend this unit.

Excellent for small family

I was looking for a place for our family of 3 w/a small child and this fit really well. We enjoyed having meals on the balcony. The easy access to the pool was great for our kid and the beach right on site was perfectly mellow for a small child. We visited Big Beach one of our days, and realized the beach at our resort was probably better for our family. The resort is only a short drive to the airport and Lahaina & Kaanapali Beach. We'll def try to book again when go travel to Maui. ONE WARNING THOUGH - the tiles in the condo, esp kitchen & bathroom are very slippery when wet, so be careful after folks come back from beach/pool. Also, don't apply spray sunscreen over the tiles.

This was a lovely resort. The kitchen didn't have big frying pans, so we bought some for the condo. They didn't have measuring cups or spoons, which made cooking tricky.
