2nd Floor Beach cottage with two bedrooms and one bath on deep water on Big Bay Creek! Dock and 25 foot boat slip included (12 foot deep at low tide). Marina with boat landing within a quarter mile. Enjoy beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets from the living room and sundeck. One king bed in each bedroom. Full kitchen, living room, bath, and small dining area. Walking distance to Edisto Seafood for your fresh meals, Fontaine Charters for fishing, Dockside Restaurant and Briney Swine BBQ & Raw Bar, as well as Edisto Watersports & Tackle. Tours of the Ace Basin, Deep Sea Fishing, Beach Combing, and Sunset Cruises are available. Rent paddle boards, kayaks, golf carts, etc. Across from the entrance to Wyndham Golf Course. The absolute perfect spot for our family. Having a dock and boat slip is magical and the location couldn’t be better. Super helpful hosts, they almost feel more like family after we experienced a medical emergency during our stay and had to spend the night at the hospital. We look forward to many more stays!

Great location

House is cozy and dated but very comfortable and relaxing. Location and dock is perfect. Would stay here again.

Beautiful view, great beds!

The location on Big Bay Creek provides a beautiful water-front view. My husband and I stayed here with our two teenagers for four nights. The boys slept well with a king-size pillow in between them on one of the two king beds. The beds and living room furniture are new, very good quality. The brand new covered dock has a nice bench seat. There is a deck right out the back door with a table and chairs for four. The Samsung TV is connected to Dish & has a Wii with several popular games that my teens enjoyed. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed (very nice fry pans). It has a 4-cup coffee maker & a Kuerig. They provided coffee filters and a box of K-cups, but not the refillable K-pod. We could hear people talking in the parking lot of the "bar & grill" nearby at night, but never loud enough or late enough to keep us awake. Black-out curtains would be an improvement to the property, but a sleeping mask works for me as well. We liked the view and ease of entry over the Wyndham. Highly recommended!

It's perfect!

Everything about our stay was perfect! Communicating with Joan was super easy from our initial booking to check out. We absolutely LOVED having access to Big Bay Creek via the dock every day and being able to leave our boat parked at the dock instead of having to haul it in and our every day made our trip that much more enjoyable! Having access to a hose on the dock was a huge plus as well to rinse off the salt water from fishing poles and coolers. Oh, and the sunset views from the dock are absolutely amazing! We loved meeting Joan and Mr. Bob and talking with them, but that was a choice that we made, they were not intrusive into the space we rented at all. Had we not gone out of our way to talk to them we'd probably have never seen them! But I am so glad that we did! We didn't spend a ton of time inside, but our accommodations inside were exactly as expected from the pictures. The beds were very comfy and the sheets and towels were very soft. There was ample room in the fridge, cabinets, and dressers to unpack and make yourself at home. I did bring my own pillow (as I read from another review) and if you're picky about the firmness of your pillows, I'd suggest the same, but my husband slept fine. The water pressure from the shower is the best I've ever experienced in 35 years of coming to Edisto! Do bring your own blowdryer though. I would definitely recommend Joan and Mr. Bob's home to anyone! We can't wait to go back and are already considering a trip in the fall. Thank you for such a perfect and relaxing week!

It is a little piece of heaven for sure. Great location, very clean, the owners are extremely helpful. This was our third time renting the location and we hope to for many years to come.

Hidden Treasure

This is a great property for a small family. Comfortable and clean. The location is great, especially with the deep water dock. The BBQ grill was not working, but the owners are in the process of repairing it. For those with PTSD: Dock rights are rented to another family, so you may have to share the dock during your visit for crabbing and boat storage only. The owners live on the first floor, but are very friendly and give you a lot privacy. No washer or dryer. Knowing what I know now, I would still highly recommend this property!!.

Great little beach vacation

We loved our trip. Took advantage of having access to the dock which was easy and convenient. Super convenient to everything. Very clean, beds were very comfortable.

2nd of many trips to come!

This was my second trip here. The bed is still just as comfy, and the view just as nice. I threw the cast net off the dock, watched the sunrise and sunset, and spent my days on the beach. You can walk next door to a restaurant/bar, bar, and water sports/bait/tackle store, which was great to grab a bag of ice for the cooler daily!

Great Little Cabin

My two grown sons and I really enjoyed the "Little Piece of Heaven" cabin on Big Bay Creek. Being on the water we enjoyed the dock and the views. The cabin was nice and clean and everything we expected. Thank you Leah for a wonderful time and stay! Mark Meyer

Great weekend fishing place.

2nd time staying here. It is a classic older beach house but instead of a beach view it has a bay view with a deep water dock to keep a boat. We spent a weekending shrimping and crabbing and had a great time here. It is basic but what else do you need?

Short Fishing/Kayaking Stay
