This is a really lovely property. The furnishings are comfortable, it was really clean and the view is astonishing. I woke up at dawn to watch the sun rise over the lake, which was magical. Loons were calling from the lake at dusk and dawn, owls hooted in the parking area in the evenings. We even had a fire one evening when it got cold! Although we didn't use the beach, we did swim in the lake right in front of the condo which was amazing on hot days.

We did have one problem which was with the lock on the door which is very difficult to figure out and cost us several hours getting into the unit. The owners should probably provide two keys and detailed instructions. A cutting board for the kitchen would be really helpful too. The unit is a little less private than units we have stayed in before but the views of the lake more than compensate for that!

We had a really magical stay, with lots of our old friends, family and kids visiting and listening to the music of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta celebrating its 100th anniversary. It was hard to go home! Thank you to the owners! This is a beautiful and practical condo and a perfect place to have a great vacation!

Dear Mr. Hahn, it was a wonderful week in Lake Placid with our son running in the Lake Placid Ironma

  • 4 of 5

The views from your deck of sunrise and sunset were magnificent. The gardens were beautiful and the blue jays were amazing to watch. You have lovely neighbors that were very welcoming.

Inside the condo we were unable to make one of the showers work. We contacted property manager but it took several days for her husband to come and check on the shower. He said he needed a plumber to come and fix it. We also found no extra light bulbs for a lamp with a missing lightbulb. Found the kitchen had most things necessary but unable to find a cutting board. There was no dishwasher soap available either. Loved how many towels, bedding and pillows avalible.

If we ever are back to the Lake Placid area, we would love to stay in your condo complex again.

Incredible view.

Owners were responsive and available for questions making scheduling easy and quick. The view of the water from the condo is so much better than I expected based on the photos. Really a perfect spot. Listening to the loons at night was a personal highlight.

Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

The location could not be better. The condo had all the required amenities, just minutes from Lake Placid village yet secluded and peaceful.

The dining experience at MooseLodge Boathouse was equally good.

We will be back!

Waterfront views and proximity to Lake Placid

  • 4 of 5

Great location near downtown Lake Placid. Condo floor plan was very nice and accommodating. As one of the reviews mentions, "The condo was comfortable, clean and well equipped with beautiful views of the lake".

The lack of air conditioning was a factor, especially for the guys who are accustomed to A/C. There were fans provided, and it does cool down at night, but daytime can be hot/humid. The den is a very nice room with amazing views of the lake and Whiteface Mountain. The sofa bed in the den was very uncomfortable and unsleepable and we ended up buying a blow up mattress the next day.

With the exception of the sofa sleeper, the condo is very nicely equipped, and we enjoyed our stay.

Please note that the patio is shared by other condos near by and is not private, the deck however, is somewhat private and has incredible views of the lake and Whiteface Mountain. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck.

There is public access to the lake near town, so my advice would be to bring or rent a kayak. LP is so beautiful, make sure that you take the time to explore by kayak.

We enjoyed the Moose Club and Wednesday night music. Lisa G's was a great place for dinner. Delta Blues and Zig Zag were fun stops in town to try a craft beer. Taking the highway up to Whiteface Mountain is a must - incredible view at 4600 feet.

We enjoyed our stay. I would love to visit again...there's more to do and see. Great vacation.

Lots of Space in a Beautiful Setting

  • 4 of 5

Lakeside #5 is a lovely, large space to spend a week on the shores of Lake Placid, facing Whiteface Mountain. The extra family room area was very nice and not something that we've had in other condos at the Whiteface Resort. Nicely furnished with all the supplies necessary whether you cook in (we only did for breakfast and lunch) or eat out. Easily accessible to beach and boat house. Just one caveat - and it's not the fault of the owner, only the weather - if it's going to be very hot, be sure to bring additional fans. There is no air conditioning (not unusual in the Adirondacks) and only one box fan. We had a couple days in the 90s with high humidity and it was really oppressive. Locals informed us this was very, very unseasonal. We ended up buying a second fan just to be able to sleep.
