🌟 Peaceful Oasis w/ Private beach 200 ft away+New Hot Tub+only 8 mins to town🌟

Come stay and enjoy the best of Michigan! We have a small private beach across the street and public Lake Michigan Beach access is just 1-2 miles away at Pier Cove Beach and West Side Park where you can catch the most beautiful sunsets. If you prefer warmer water just relax in the new (2024) Jacuzzi 7 person hot tub while looking out over the lush landscaped backyard that attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, deer and more. Afterwards sink into the oversized couch on the 3 seasons porch and just unwind. There is a big fire pit to roast s’mores a big Weber grill to grill out dinner. We have loads of toys, bikes, books, and games including a kid sized pac-man arcade game to keep everyone entertained. This is the perfect place for to build memories with your family and loved ones!
**HOT TUB CLOSED FROM 11/15-5/1. The location is great! The tall trees and large lot of our home will make you relax from all the hustle and bustle but we are only about 8 mins from downtown Saugatuck, 7 miles from Oval beach, and 10 mins to Douglas. Close to u-pick fruit farms, wineries, and so much more. This is not your typical rental with a million random furniture pieces, we had our home professional decorated in 2021 which a comfortable, upscale, beach house feeling. We have a full sized crib with a new mattress, and lots of other baby stuff to maximize comfort for families. Come and enjoy the best of Michigan.

+ Large open space right off the kitchen with a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams L-shaped sofa, a Serena & Lily Rocker chair, Blackman + Cruz Coffee table.
+ Small couch across the open room from Pottery Barn if you prefer to have a little space and read a book.
+55” TV that you can extend & tilt so you can move it to your preferred spot. We have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Prime TV and Comcast.


BEDROOMS
+ All bedrooms have black out roman shades or roller shades.
+ Primary Suite with a King bed with double vanity bathroom and walk-in closet.
+ 1 Guest bedroom with 2 twin beds and closet (There is an extra twin mattress you can put in the middle but then there is no room to walk around the beds – fun for kids but would not recommend for adults)
+ 1 Guest bedroom with a queen bed and closet (you can also put the extra twin mattress on the floor in here but then no room to get in and out of the closet)

BATHROOMS
+ Primary Suite has a double Vanity with a private toilet and shower area plus a large walk-in closet.
+ Shared bathroom for the guest bedrooms has a bathtub/ shower.
+ We have 2 water heaters (new in 2021) so you should not run out of hot water.
+ New A/C 2022

KITCHEN AND DINING
+ Keurig (new 2024) plus a Drip coffee pot.
+Blender, toaster, pots/pans, etc. Just ask if there is anything else you need. Keep in mind we live here most of the time so there are a lot of items.
+ Plenty of seating for meals - 3 kitchen island bar stools, indoor dining table with seating for 6, screened porch dining table with seating for 8. Child highchair available for use.

+ Quick walk to private beach – we are the second house in off of Lakeshore Drive. Please note the steps to the beach are very very steep (in our area / neighborhood they are all very steep).

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
2) make sure to start the dishwasher if you have any dirty dishes! Our cleaning lady charges us $50 to hand wash any dishes.
3) please put all used linens in the laundry room floor including sheets / pillow cases / towels etc. PLEASE DO NOT start the washing machine though as we have all linens professionally cleaned.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No shoes in our home please :)
No more than 7 people in the home at anytime.
We do ask that you sign an additional rental agreement directly with us which we are happy to share before booking.

Everything was really nice, house was clean, neighborhood was quiet, everything the owners had done was very well thought out. Our kids enjoyed the toys, bikes and scooters. Great Lake Michigan Escape

The property was absolutely perfect for our stay! Close to what we needed, beach access was easy, and communication with a Jayna was super clear! Great and comfortable house with lots to offer for your downtime and relaxation. Lots of deer sightings all over the area -- in the front and back yard, and all along the road to and from the highway. Hummingbirds, woodpeckers and other birds as well. Got to enjoy a lot of nature from the fire pit, hot tub and back deck. Beautiful front yard as well. We ended up doing many activities and restaurants suggested in the guide the hosts shared, and they were great recommendations. It ended up being a fantastic trip! We wished we had stayed a 5th day to get more time at the house!

Great for a family getaway

We had the best time with our family (includes a two- and five-year-old). The house was incredibly kid-friendly and my sons are already asking when we can go back to "our Michigan house." Yes, the stairs to the beach are steep, but our (admittedly fearless) two-year-old handled them fine.

Summer 2025

The house is perfect for a family. My husband and I brought my mom and three kids. We were all very comfortable. The kids loved the porch and garage playroom. Andy and Jayna have thought of everything. We stayed for three nights and we fell refreshed and ready to start to the school year. There was excellent communication and we hope to be back in the future. As a fun surprise we were even visited by a mama deer and her baby. Thankyou for a great summer get away!

Fantastic house that feels like you are in the middle of the woods!

We loved our experience here. The house is beautiful and everything is of the highest quality. The hosts were amazing even including a bottle of wine and everything needed to make s’mores out at the fire. The best part was how it felt like we were in the middle of the woods with no one around! Definitely would recommend staying here.

My mom and I booked this house for a weekend getaway and we could not have been more pleased with the hosts, house, hospitality and accommodations! I've stayed at several VRBO's in the past, but I've never experienced the accommodations and care quite like this location. The hosts went above and beyond to really feel like you're at home. The screened in porch, hot tub and fire pit were a highlight of our stay. I couldn't recommend a better VRBO host & house - they truly extend a home to their visitors like family. serene getaway

This property was an absolutely perfect getaway for my husband and I and our 2 small kids. It was quiet, clean and truly relaxing. The 3 season porch in back was perfection each night after the kids were in bed. So close to the private beach, yet also not far from town. The property owners were beyond accommodating. We felt so luck to have found this gem and will likely book again :-)

We love the Saugutuck & Fennville & Douglas area. Just very family friendly, clean, safe, and plenty to do. Has a great laid back feel just like a beach town should. Everyone is very friendly and down to earth. Lots of good restaurants, u-pick farms where you get pick your own produce, great wineries with lovely music in the vineyards.

What makes this property unique

This is a very relaxing home and calm peaceful energy about it. The 3 seasons porch is great to sit on and let fresh air come through, many deer come to our yard usually around dusk and birds in the morning. We leave the windows open at night to get the fresh air in. All furnishing are new within the last year or two and we keep our home very clean.
