Mill Cove: spacious property w/ water views, kayaks, and close to Acadia!

Mill Cove is the perfect spot for a family summer getaway. You’ll relax as soon as you pull into the driveway and see the water’s edge welcoming you home. Located on the Union River Bay in Trenton, the house is a 10-minute drive (6 miles) from the head of Mount Desert Island. Escape the summer heat on the water, kayak and swim in front of the house, and cozy up to the fire pit in the evening as you watch the sunset over the bay - all while being able to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, just a short drive away. Ellsworth’s historic Main Street for shopping and dining is close by too!

FIRST FLOOR: The kitchen looks out to the dining area and living room with water views, with plenty of counters and cabinet space to prepare family meals. The master bedroom with King bed has an en-suite private bath with walk-in shower and a walk-in closet. Two other bedrooms, both with Double beds, share a full bath with a walk-in shower. Deck off the dining area for easy access to the grill. A large sun porch provides lots of natural light with pretty views of the water.

LOWER LEVEL: Open, unfinished basement providing space for games and storage. Ping-pong table. Access to the front lawn and water.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Large lawn wraps around the home on all sides. The water side of the house has a firepit, picnic table, and cornhole lawn game. Two kayaks are available for tenant use with adult-sized life jackets.

Acadia adventure

Fantastic location with a beautiful view, and access to the water for kayaking and paddle boarding. Close to Acadia for lots of hiking. The property is very well apointed, loved the sun room, and very comfortable beds!

A Vacation to Remember

We loved our stay at Mill Cove. The property is beautiful and peaceful and the house is very well equipped. The location was perfect with shopping and eateries in nearby Ellsworth, and not too far to Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula and Blue Hill. We would return in a heartbeat.

Overall we loved this place! It was so very clean, spacious and well stocked with a beautiful view. We used the kayaks and the ping pong table. Location was ideal! We travelled to Schoodic Point one day, south to Belfast one day and the rest of the days we explored Acadia. We would love to stay here again!

Tranquil with an amazing view!

We loved coming back to this beautiful clean home after a long day of hiking and having all of the comforts of home. The beds were so comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful! Loved drinking coffee on the back porch in the mornings.

Maine family vacation

This home had everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed the ping pong table and kayaks. The location is perfect for shopping in Elllsworth and hiking in Acadia. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

There is no way we could have asked for a better place to spend our vacation in Acadia, than at this place. The quiet. The solitude. The fire pit. The amenities. Just the best! Got lucky and watched a pod of seals feeding and a family of bald eagles for hours on our last night.

Visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor

We enjoyed this house as a location from which to visit Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It was close enough to these locations while not being right in the crowds. A peaceful location with a nice view. The inside of the house was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable.

Family Vacation

The property was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed for a two week stay. My family enjoyed the home and that it was located on a cove with kayaks. When we did venture out to site see the grandchildren couldn’t wait to get back to the property to play outside and explore the cove. Comfortable and beautiful

Main bedroom was comfortable (always very important to me), bathrooms were clean. Everything you could possibly need was available. Yard was spacious with outdoor seating and a fire pit and an amazing view. We were there off season and there were no neighbors around making it even more private. We've already booked again for next year.

The house was absolutely amazing! The view, the cleanliness and the comforting beds made it one of the best vacation homes we have ever stayed in! Beautifully Relaxing

The experience was excellent! Very professional when booking. Very accommodating when I forgot to tell them my parents and brother decided to come after we booked it haha Very clean, absolutely gorgeous, and the views were spectacular!! We will rent this again for sure because it was just far enough out to be relaxing but close enough to Acadia and Abarth Harbor, where we love to go for attractions. It wasn't more than a 25 minute drive. Worth every penny!

Bar Harbor - Mill Cove

This home far surpassed our expectations! From the moment we stepped inside and saw the stunning Union Bay view through the bay window, we were beyond pleased. The home has a split bedroom layout and is extremely clean. During the day we explored Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. In the evening we sat around the campfire looking over the bay with an abundance of fall foliage reflecting off the water. We recommend this home to everyone. Thank you for sharing your home!

Marvelous Maine Escape

The house at Mill Cove was perfect. It felt like our own home away from home instantly. The view of the ocean was picturesque and made us want to hang around the house our entire trip! The lobster cookware that was provided was awesome. We made fresh bought lobsters and it was a fun experience to cook them ourselves. Also, the owners provided kayaks and it was so much fun to kayak in the bay. We were only 30 minutes from Bar Harbor which was a beautiful town to explore. Mill Cove was everything we needed, thank you so much! We look forward to returning someday!

Great week at a lovely home!

Great property; so well appointed, clean, and comfortable. New appliances, tons of supplies, clean and uncluttered. Feels like the owners have thought of everything and provided it! Easy location to go into Ellsworth for supplies or head into Mt Desert Island, which was amazing. Very quiet, lovely view and setting, and family friendly. Our kids had a great time climbing and playing on the rocky beach at low tide (not really possible for true swimming, but figure it would be great for launching kayaks, which they also provided!). We also so appreciated that we could bring our dog. It's hard to find such a high quality rental that allows that. Overall, a lovely spot, and a great location for a family vacation.

Magical Mill Cove Vacation

Our first time to Acadia so I was a bit nervous about the location. It was perfect-easy to get to Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor and everywhere else. The location was lovely-private, gorgeous views, very serene. The house was perfect-good sized bedrooms, super fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds & furniture. Screened porch so pleasant, an entire unfinished basement with ping pong table and extra fridge. It was extremely hot in Maine the week we visited. Luckily, most rooms have ceiling fans, including all bedrooms. Plus a few extra. Also nights cooled down to the mid to high 60s so comfortable sleeping. We enjoyed taking dips in the cove at high tide, watching herons and even seagulls. The water view is very visible from the house, true eye candy. We were able to have an active trip to Acadia National Park, hiking a number of trails, visiting Sandy Beach and freshwater Echo Lake were refreshing. Ate lobster just about every day (Riddick’s in Southwest Harbor was our favorite). Thank you to the owners and property management team for providing an excellent vacation spot!
