Spacious Newer Home With Elevator - Close To The Beach And In A Gated Community

We've vacationed on the island yearly since 1990 and this location is one of our favorites before and after all the changes... We don’t always rent due to family on the island but will keep this spot on our short list and highly recommend it to friends and family. Thanks everyone for such kind hospitality! 😎

Loved the property. Bedrooms, linens, bathrooms - all wonderful. The pool, being under cover, was quite cold, but the younger children still loved it. Biggest problem was with the outdoor dining area. The table and chairs were very old and the chairs were rusted. When you sat down and leaned back, the chairs would break (2), and the canvas seat covers were rotted. One was split from front to back, so 3 of the 6 chairs were not useable. Tried to cook on the propane grill one evening, but ran out of propane after about 10 minutes of use. Nevertheless, everything inside was as expected and everyone was comfortable with the sleeping arrangements. Mr. Steve was great transporting several of us to the beach at different times of the day. It would have been nice if there had been a downstairs toilet closer to the pool. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this home for any family vacation (provided outdoor dining was improved).

We stayed there with my wife's sister and our adult children and their spouses. With four bedrooms (each with a bathroom), it was enough space for everyone. The common living room and kitchen were also spacious and well-equipped. We had a great time. It is about a 12 minute walk to the beach (we usually went at sunrise and sunset, so missed the shuttle service). Sometimes we drove and dropped each other off. There was also a public parking lot near the beach if you wanted to drive and park closer. Also, we could have rented bikes (the bike rental places deliver) which would have made for a 3 minute bike ride. The house has a small screened-in pool, which was very nice.

The back yard area was noisy from the car traffic (hidden by a fence and landscaping). The furniture throughout was very nice. Also, there were HDTVs in every bedroom, and a very large one in the living room. Cable and internet wi-fi worked well. We miss it already!

This was the first time my family rented a house instead of a condo for our annual Hilton ahead Trip- 13 years running! Overall it suited our needs for the week. It was close to the beach, with a great and attentive free shuttle. Steve with the buggy service was such a highlight to our trip! This beach shuttle eliminated the need for bikes in my opinion. We have stayed all over Hilton Head, and Singleton Beach has by far been the best location. The beach isn't over crowded, it's very quiet, and is surrounded by a mix of locals and weekly renters. The pool at the house was completely indoor which I didn't expect, but worked really well for the kiddos we had with us. The elevator served us well as my dad is in a wheelchair, but found that the accommodations themselves weren't very handicapped friendly. The shower wasn't accessible, the furniture was bulky for the space and not easy to navigate around, and the master suite was on the third floor. The main beef was that the house was not clean. Upon arrival it looked cleaner, but as we got settled in there were dead bugs found, used tissues behind the bed, dog hair on the sheets, and stained mattress coverings and throw pillows. When it was brought to the attention of the property manager, he did send a cleaning crew, which was really nice. As I said though, on the surface it was clean- it needed more deep attention (dust and dog hair in every crack of the house). All in all, we had a nice stay and were willing to overlook these things. Keep in mind when renting this property- it backs up to a busy street, and there is no deck or patio to hang out on. There is a small outdoor area that has one tanning chair, but I wouldn't consider it an outdoor entertaining area. Having a bathroom in every bedroom was also such a covenience as we had multiple families staying together.

Fantastic vacation! The house is very well maintained with tons of amenities! The kitchen is well stocked and the living area is very comfortable and family-friendly. Bedrooms were spacious and the baths were immaculate! Loved the elevator and the location to the beach was an easy walk. Lots of great shopping and restaurants nearby! Will definitely come back year after year!
