Los Olivos House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Just two hours north of Los Angeles, 30 mins. from Santa Barbara, located in the township of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez Valley, you will find the perfect place to RELAX, REFLECT and RECHARGE. The house is tucked away on a small hill surrounded by mature eucalyptus, pine and pepper trees, just two blocks from the center of town where you can stroll to the Corner Cafe for a morning latte.

Walk to several (51 at last count) first class wine tasting rooms, lunch at the Los Olivos Cafe, a location seen in the film, 'Sideways'. Leisurely explore art galleries and antique stores. Take a drive through the Santa Ynez Valley and discover over 117 wineries offering some of the finest wines produced in California.

In the evening, you will find first class dining choices at the Sides Restaurant by the Chef Brothers, Los Olivos Cafe and Petros to be among the finest in the valley. Although you may run into a few celebs, Grapolos in Santa Ynez offers excellent Italian fare.

This remodeled three bedroom, two bath home can comfortably accommodate 4-6 adults. New king and queen beds are located upstairs. A trundle day bed is located in the downstairs bedroom. New Pillows now. (12/1/15)

An additional sleeping area in the loft is available upon request. There is flat parking to accommodate up to four cars. The living room has a slate surround, remote controlled fireplace (off May-Sept),flat panel HD Television, DVD/CD players and WIFI and broadband internet.

Through the french doors, right off the newly remodeled kitchen, there is a large redwood deck. 30 year old grape vines, espaliered on the fence and arbor surround the lawn and backyard. Roll out the Santa Maria Bar-Be-Que and try your hand at grilling your own Santa Maria tri-tip. Read or just relax in the backyard hammock.

Every Saturday- the NEW!! Seasonal Farmer's Market- just a 2 minute walk from the property. Enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine on the slate balcony off the master.

And we are GREEN. We use only green cleaning products- We use Meyers, Greenworks, Earth Friendly Products, Melaleuca, Kirkland green only products. We recycle and compost. You will love your experience here as I do.

Great property, extremely comfortable, in a nice location

  • 5 of 5

A group of six of us recently stayed at this property the weekend of Aug 12-14, 2011. We had an absolutely fabulous time. The rooms are clean, the bedding is comfortable and the whole house has a very good vibe to it. There was plenty of room for all of us. We particularly enjoyed the backyard, especially the hammock. As an added bonus, this home is really close to downtown Los Olivos, it is literally a two minute walk to the wineries and restaurants. Makes it very nice for a group who wants to leave at different times. Would highly recommend staying here.

Superb house, great location

  • 5 of 5

This was a fantastic house for our family for 3 days in Los Olivos. It is impeccably maintained, super clean, and very comfortable. There is plenty of room for a family of 4. The flower gardens & backyard are a wonderful place to spend the morning with coffee or the evening with wine. The hammock was an excellent addition, especially for my children. 1 block to all the tasting rooms in Los Olivos and that Corner Cafe which makes a very good cappuccino. Excellent access to Hwy 154 to take you to all other Los Olivos and Foxen Canyon wineries. Just loved it!!!

A beautiful retreat in wine country!

  • 5 of 5

My family loves to travel for birthdays! This year went on a wine-tasting trip in Southern California. One of the many fine wine areas in California is nestled in the Santa Ynez Valley just a couple of hours north of Los Angeles. How fortunate we were to discover this little gem in the city of Los Olivos. Located about a block from the center of town it is a convenient stroll to all the restaurants and wineries located within the city itself and it is also a nice base to make day trips to all of the neighboring cities and wineries. The house itself is absolutely perfect. Well insulated with a nice fireplace we were always happy to get back every evening. The house is very clean with modern appliances and has a very comfortable feel to it. There is a balcony off the second floor master bedroom and a very nice patio area in the back yard for those days (and there were several for us) when the best way to start or end is with a cup of coffee or glass of wine in a peaceful environment under the sun or stars. Melissa, the owner, is very friendly and available. She was very prompt in responding to our request to rent her home and the whole process is very smooth. I would happily rent this home again and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay while enjoying this beautiful area of The Greatest State in the Union.

A delightful break away from city life

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this cottage. My siblings were visiting from Europe and we wanted to give them the experience of the lovely wine country north of Santa Barbara. The house easily fit the four of us, had a charming character and felt homely; it was clean, well equipped and we found the beds very comfortable. Its proximity to good restaurants and cafés was a big plus. The garden was beautiful with gorgeous vines leading you to a cosy and warm home. It is close to the highway, but we knew that when we booked the house, we did not find it a problem because we wanted to be within walking distance of places to eat and drink. The evenings were chilly so we spent them inside, and with the fire on we felt very relaxed and at home. We were very touched by the vases of country flowers left around the house, a sweet gesture that felt very welcoming.

Wonderful Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We are 5 ladies who needed a November weekend escape of wine and laugher. This house was a wonderful gem. Located in the heart of Los Olivos, a perfect space for the 5 of us, an easy and quick stroll into town for wine tasting and lovely dinners. The house was exactly as pictured and expected. Everything we needed was provided for. Turning on the fireplace took the chill out of the air and added to the coziness. Sitting outside under the stars and beautifully lit grape vines was an added treat. We would definitely all stay there again!

Charming, quaint & close to all!

  • 5 of 5

We went up with a total of 6...We all had a place to sleep and everything was available that we needed. Very close to town which makes it convenient for a nice walk, wine tasting with window shopping. The pleasant yard is nice to sit outside...Overall a very enjoyable stay and very convenient to Solvang and some great wineries! Owner was very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely stay again!
