About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Gorgeous, cozy little cabin overlooking majestic Lake Superior. 80 foot cliff offers a very rare view of the lake. Fire pit on the edge of the cliff makes for magical evenings and gorgeous views of the moon rising and the sunrise (don't forget your own firewood)! The screened in porch is a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just relaxing with a good book. The private outdoor shower with a view of the lake provides a unique experience you won't soon forget (and yes there is an indoor shower as well)!! There are 4 bicycles available for you to enjoy. An easy and fun 3 mile ride into town or the 1.5 mile ride to the beach at Grants Point. As you can see this small cabin's decor is warm and charming. The big soft leather couch makes for a great place to take that afternoon nap with a view of the lake right at your feet. Inside the cabin is a quaint little propane fireplace to remove the chill of a cool evening. There is one queen size bed and a comfy trundle bed which makes into two singles or a full when pushed together. It is a well maintained and well loved little cabin. Perfect for romantic getaways, small families, two couple retreats or small gathering of friends.

Nestled in the forest there is routinely deer in the yard, bald eagles soaring overhead and families of ducks swimming by. The glider on the cliff makes for a great place to meet for that morning cup of coffee!

Please note - to help with meal planning - this cabin does not have an oven. There is a microwave, stove, coffee pot, toaster, under counter refrigerator and of course a charcoal grill! Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cutlery, pots and pans and dishware.

Why Tracy Swirk chose Northwest

While traveling north from Kansas City one summer to escape the heat we were fortunate to happen upon the magic of Madeline Island. With no intention of buying a vacation home we fell in love with the island and were lucky to have found this charming cabin. In our opinion it's the center of the universe!!

Slice of Paradise

When you watch the full moon raise its head over the lip of the lake, you can't believe you're lucky enough to sit in such a gorgeous location, eating smores beside a campfire and three of your favorite people in the world. (And that's just the outside!). The cottage is awesome: clean, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed our gal's weekend away and would highly recommend this property and the owners who were incredibly generous and helpful. Our little dog even got to stay and he loved it as much as we did. Magical.

Perfectly peaceful and relaxing

This is a great property. You are right on the lake, wake up early and watch the sunrise over the lake. The fire ring is great, the cabin is cute and has everything you need. You are off the road and it was very peaceful. Tracy was great and very professional. You will not regret picking this place for a weekend getaway.

Great Cozy Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little cabin in the woods! The view was spectacular, the place was clean and tidy and the screened in porch was awesome morning, noon and night! They had everything we needed and the kids had plenty of room to play outside. Beds and pillows were comfy too! We will definitely look into renting this one again!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was just beautiful! The view was out of this world. And your cabin is soooo cute, and I just loved all the different unique things that you decorated it with. The moss on the ground and all the trees reminded me of a huge fairy garden. Very enchanting! Beds were so comfy! Weather was PERFECT! We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for letting us stay...I miss it already. We will defiantly stay again!!! Thanks Again!

Very clean and well-kept--the screen porch is, indeed, wonderful and the view tremendous. Relatively close to town (10 min drive). Very quiet and peaceful. We'd love to return!

Wow what a view

Simply amazing property. The cabin was so cute and cozy. The grounds were so lush and green. We loved our nightly camp fires. The outdoor shower was incredible. Found some fun watering holes in town. Hoping to plan a girl's trip next year. I know they will enjoy the cabin as much as we did. Thanks for sharing your magical cabin with all of us.
